Bestselling Baby Gear: Our Fan Favorites

Baby Gear 2017 Fan Favorites

One of my favorite parts of working at Cotton Babies is seeing the latest baby gear firsthand. There are constantly new and exciting things coming to market. Shopping for friends and family members as they welcome new babies and celebrate milestones is so much fun. I absolutely love when people ask me for registry or gift tips because I really and truly and enjoy discussing the pros and cons of different products.

Of course, every mom has different reasons for liking different products. While I agree with the list below, it is based off our bestselling baby gear, not just my opinions.

Fan Favorites: Bestselling Baby Gear

bumGenius Freetime

This all-in-one cloth diaper is easy to love because it’s so easy to use! The one-piece, one-size design fits babies from around 8-35 pounds. Its unique semiattached stay-dry inserts speed up drying time. Freetime is our bestselling cloth diaper.

Sophie the Giraffe

Teething babies are drawn to this iconic chew toy. When I had my daughter, I was given one at a baby shower. Sure, she’s adorable, but would my daughter really prefer this over another toy? Yes. Yes, she did. Sophie is shaped just right to soothe teething gums. She’s easy to hold fun for baby to squeak.

Earth Mama Organics Nipple Butter

If you’re planning on breastfeeding, you are going to need some nipple butter. Earth Mama Organics (formerly Earth Mama Angel Baby) provides an all-natural, totally safe-for-baby solution. Lather it on, ladies. Earth Mama Organics Nipple Butter works great for pumping moms.

ErgoBaby 360 Cool Air

Baby carriers are truly like jeans. They fit everyone a little bit different, but this one has just about everything I want in a soft structured carrier. It allows baby to face in or out, back carry or hip carry. The lightweight and breathable mesh is a wonderful option if you are spending any time in a warm climate. It’s super supportive and comfortable for the wearer. Check out that lumbar support! It’s easy to understand why so many parents fall in love with ErgoBaby 360 Cool Air.

Mini Squigz

Fat Brain Toys is the maker of some of the coolest toys for kids I’ve ever seen. Even adults enjoy playing with this line of toys. The Mini Squigz are no exception. These bendy, fun little suction cup toys are great for building. Push them together and pull them apart to hear a POP. It’s so much fun, you won’t want to stop.

Flip Stay-Dry Inserts

Flip Stay-Dry Inserts are designed to be used with the Flip Hybrid Diaper System. Get a Flip cover and choose Stay-Dry, Organic Cotton or Disposable inserts. Stay-Dry inserts are a favorite among parents because they make using cloth diaper covers so very easy. Just fold on the line to small or medium or don’t fold at all if your child is on the largest rise setting. They stay-dry lining pulls moisture away from baby’s bottom. It works so well, in fact, that my mom thought the baby’s diaper was still dry. I told her to feel the back of the insert, and she was shocked that it was wet.

Haakaa Silicone Breast Pump

The Haakaa is a great addition or alternative to a traditional electric breast pump. This one-piece silicone pump uses suction to express milk. When I had my daughter, I didn’t know anything about Haakaa. With my second baby, I used the Haakaa from very early on by attaching it to the opposite my baby was feeding on. It was a great way to collect letdown milk and start building my freezer stash.

Little Unicorn Swaddles

Muslin swaddles are wonderful because they can be used for many purposes. Obviously, swaddling the baby. But they can also be used as a play mat, nursing cover, car seat cover, burp cloth, scarf and much more. Little Unicorn swaddles measure at 47″ x 47″ so they are a generous size. Not only are the swaddles super soft, but they are available in gorgeous prints to fit any style or theme. My son has the Ground Control set to match his space-themed nursery.

Nellie’s All Natural Laundry Soda

When washing diapers, you need to use a detergent that will get them clean. Nellies All Natural Laundry Soda is a favorite among our customers because it gets the job done and is hypoallergenic. This large tub will go a loooong way – it has enough to wash 1100 loads!

Nuna Rava

Our Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) in customer service and in our store in St. Louis are a great resource for car seat questions. I’ve personally asked them many questions about car seats and they are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The Nuna Rava is a car seat I’ve heard them recommend time and time again. It’s easy to install, allows rear-facing up to 50 lbs. or 49 in., and forward-facing up to 65 lbs. Learn more here.

Replay Tableware

It’s easy to organize your cabinets with Replay Tableware. It stacks up beautifully and holds up well under the strains of life with toddlers. This colorful, dishwasher-safe line of plates, cups, bowls and more is made from FDA-approved recycled plastic and is very affordable. It’s definitely a hit with parents who shop at Cotton Babies.
