Not long ago, we introduced bumGenius Big cloth diapers & Bigger cloth diapers. Many families have children struggling with incontinence issues, and a growing population of retirees is also facing challenges with incontinence, limited incomes, and increasingly expensive disposable diapering products.

In response to these issues and at the request of our customers, we’ve created reusable, and “size-adjustable” cloth diaper products designed to fit a range of individuals reaching up to include the small adult.

bumGenius “Big” cloth diapers were designed with a child in mind and will fit from 35-70 pounds.

bumGenius “Bigger”cloth diapers were designed with an older child, pre-teen, or a small adult in mind and will fit approximately from 70-120 pounds.

“When your child has special needs, simple things like diapers become one more worry for you. Will they fit them as long as you need them to? Will the ingredients irritate their skin? Will they be covered by insurance? All these questions circle through your head, and as each year progresses, new challenges arise in your little one’s life, but with each day they hurdle them.

Diapering was always a stressor for us. We went from cloth diapering full time, to using disposables full time as my son outgrew his cloth stash. All his cute prints sat in a drawer, and his bottom was placed in the largest disposable ‘baby’ diaper on the market.

Medical diapers didn’t fit him well, and he was maxing out size 7 disposables. Cloth was way too small, and there wasn’t much happening in the way of potty training. When Big came along I immediately grabbed a couple to try on my son. They fit, he didn’t leak, there were no red marks or irritation. It was no short of a miracle, they fit. They were comfortable. They were for him. Best of all, no disposable wretch… you know that horrid smell that occurs when urine hits the lining of the disposable? Yeah, that didn’t exist.

I am happy to say we no longer need Big’s or Bigger, but when they released, I was ecstatic. It was a small glimmer of hope for my kiddo to be comfortable in his diapers. None of it was ideal, but if he was going to be the size of a 10 year old and in diapers, I was grateful to have an eco-friendly option that wasn’t going to bankrupt our family and be comfortable for him.”
