My Favorite Baby Shoes
July 23, 2019 4:48 pm | by
My favorite baby shoes offer everything you need in shoes for a new walker. #cottonbabies

I am a mom to 2 kids, a boy and a girl. Thanks to some super generous cousins who have given us plenty of their gently used hand-me-down clothes, we’ve tried many types of baby shoes over the years. For babies who are just learning to walk, I definitely prefer a soft sole shoe. It helps the baby to feel the ground and prevents them from getting tripped up on some chunky, heavy soles.

Baby Shoes to Avoid

While we’ve worn some darling sandals and flip-flops, those are difficult to keep on. Shoes that constantly fall off baby’s feet are super annoying and should be avoided at all costs. I also don’t like super thick-soled shoes that weigh baby down. Also, lots of laces can really slow things down. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve loosened laces, gently maneuvered a shoe onto my kid’s foot, and tied it. Within 30 seconds the shoe is someone laying on the ground. Maybe I’m raising some kind of ninjas who hate sneakers. I don’t know, but lace-up shoes for babies make no sense to me.

Baby Shoes I Love

Freshly Picked Leopard Baby Shoes

As I mentioned, I prefer soft sole shoes for early walkers. Second, it has to be easy to put on baby’s foot. Third, the shoes need to stay on baby’s feet. Of course, you also want shoes that are going to last and not fall apart the first time they touch a puddle. The best baby shoes I’ve found are Freshly Picked.

Soft sole? Check. They’re easy for baby to feel the ground and balance, but tough enough to protect little toes.FP Dalmatian

Easy to put on? Check. No need to contort baby’s foot or completely unlace. They don’t even have laces!

Easy to keep on baby’s foot? Check. The elastic on the mocassins keeps these shoes securely in place.

Freshly Picked Mary Janes

Quality? Outstanding! The pairs I’ve had could seriously be passed down from child to child. They hold up great. When babies are still in the crawling stage but learning to stand, it’s amazing how hard a little baby can be on the toes of a shoe. Made of leather, the craftsmanship of these shoes keeps them looking great.

Freshly Picked

Stylish? For sure. There are many different styles of Freshly Picked shoes and they just keep getting cuter. They have some seriously adorable shoes for boys and girls.

These shoes are seriously everything you need for your little one. Which is your favorite style?
