Review: weePOD Basix
July 4, 2014 9:25 am | by

My little guy has been quite interested in the potty for a few months now so my husband and I decided it was time to venture into the potty training world. I was a little hesitant as where to even start with the whole potty training stage. After chatting with a few Mom’s and hearing their suggestions/experiences we decided to give the WeePOD Basix.

The first thing I noticed when we received the potty seat was the quality of the seat. It’s made from a super soft foam material, similar to a bumbo seat, which makes the seat firm, but still soft for your little ones bum to sit on. The seat is also extremely light weight, making it easy to store when not in use. After my little guy uses his, I wipe it clean and hang it on the back of the door. Super handy!weepod_toilet

The seat is very easy to install. It basically attaches to your toilet seat with the three small suction cups on the back. When your little one is finished using the seat it pops off very easily and doesn’t leave any marks or spot on your toilet seat. The seat also has a splash guard, which is a must with little boys, and sits your little one up on the seat in a comfortable position. The seat is also skid resistant so no slipping and sliding when using the potty.

A huge perk to the WeePOD is that it is mess free. No dumping or rinsing out with this seat. That is a huge perk for me. One flush and the mess is gone. The seat is easy to take along as well. I made the mistake of starting potty training right before a vacation and this seat was a lifesaver. It’s compact and travel friendly.

Overall I am very pleased with the WeePOD and highly recommend it to any parent venturing into the potty training stage. This seat gives my little one all the functioning options I would want in a potty seat and allows him to feel like a big boy while using the potty. I am so happy I went with the WeePOD.

PROS: Durable, soft material, travel friendly, inexpensive, easy to install, mess free, unique colors

CONS: Unless you have a toilet that sits lower to the ground you will need to invest in a stool for your little one to use when accessing the potty.

If your family is currently on the potty train, be sure to check out the Flip Potty Training Pants! These potty trainers are comfortable, easy to slide on and off, and allow your little one to feel wetness, which creates a great urgency to use the bathroom!
