Breastfeeding + Work. We Make It Work.
August 6, 2015 5:58 pm | by

With this month being National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, we’re not only celebrating this special time between a mom and baby, but also promoting how to make breastfeeding “work” in the workplace. Cotton Babies has “made it work” from day one. Cotton Babies Founder and CEO Jenn Labit started the business with her eight-week old baby by her side. Her very first employee started while several months pregnant, with her second employee soon to follow. Pretty soon, there were multiple moms with babies in the workplace. It worked then and even though we’ve expanded a lot over the years, it still works

Thursday Giveaway: Nursing Essentials
October 29, 2014 6:42 pm | by

Choosing to breast or formula feed is one of the first decisions you will make as a new parent. Each option provides different benefits for every family, but both have one thing in common — it’s hard work.   Breastfeeding is declared the most economical way to feed your baby because it requires little to few supplies. But for any breastfeeding mom, there are two accessories that are absolutely vital: nursing tank tops and reusable nursing pads. The MilkDaze Nursing Cami makes breastfeeding easier. The front layer conveniently and discretely pulls aside to expose the nipple and then snaps back into place without clips or hardware, allowing

Review: MilkDaze Nursing Cami
July 10, 2014 6:11 pm | by

It’s hard to find a nursing tank that meets all of my criteria – not too skimpy, supportive, comfortable, and easy to nurse in. With the birth of my third baby in April, I was on the lookout for the perfect tank. The MilkDaze Nursing Cami has been the best I’ve found so far. The nursing tank is true to size. I wear a large shirt and the large tank fits well. It’s nice and long, which I like because I don’t want my postpartum belly popping out of my clothes. The tank is a bit low cut, but it’s perfect to

Review: Bravado Original Nursing Bra
June 19, 2014 7:15 pm | by

As a mom of 3 kids (all of whom I have nursed past 12 months), I have had my share of lousy nursing bras. I buy a new one only to wear it only a month or two because it stretches out, warps, or no longer fits. In my opinion, comfort is KEY when it comes to a nursing bra (or any bra for that matter)! So when I saw that the Original Bravado markets itself as a comfortable bra for a nursing mom’s changing body, I was definitely interested! And this bra is absolutely comfortable for three main reasons:

Taking care of the girls
May 9, 2012 1:55 pm | by

Disclaimer: Today’s blog post is not for the faint of heart. This blog is written for the ladies, and for the ladies only. If you are my ex-boyfriend, male co-worker, brother-in-law or my father, please stop reading this post now. You cannot unread the things I am about to type. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Ladies, we need to have a little chat, woman to woman. I have a little Oprah-style confession to make. I’ve been wearing the wrong size bra. Wow, it feels good to have that off my chest (pun intended). But seriously, when was the last

Why I LOVE Babywearing
March 21, 2012 2:18 pm | by

I bought my first pouch sling at a farmer’s market in Salt Lake City when Addie was about six months old. I was wandering around wearing her in some awful strap and clip contraption when I saw a mannequin wearing the sling. I asked if I could try it and as soon as Addie’s round little rump took a seat in the sling, I handed over my money and never looked back. Since I discovered babywearing so late with Addie, I couldn’t wait for the day that I could wear a tiny little newborn. I never tried any other sling
