Some of my favorite baby shower gifts…
October 14, 2009 2:53 pm | by

I am not a mom, but I am a very proud “aunt” many, many times over. As such, I find myself constantly going to baby showers – all the time lately. I love going and celebrating the life that is coming into the world. It is so important and significant to me to honor the women in my life and watch, love and support them as they have cared for the life growing inside them before they even met them…face to face that is. Now, every time I am invited to a shower, I want to take something really great,

A New Approach to Blog Reviews from Cotton Babies
October 8, 2009 1:20 pm | by

I have been thinking a lot about how blogs review our products and how we want you, our customers, and faithful cloth diapering champions, to consider those reviews as you research the many cloth diapering choices that are out there. In July, I posted a blog that talked about the Cotton Babies approach to bloggers reviewing our products – http://clothdiapers.blogspot.com/2009/07/bumgenius-cotton-babies-reviews-are.html. Until this point, we have taken the “let them come to us” approach and, upon reviewing their blog, we have decided whether or not to send a sample for them to review. We have come to realize how much we

FTC Rules on Bloggers
October 5, 2009 9:28 pm | by

The FTC has finally released guidelines for bloggers about endorsements and advertising! Cotton Babies has been watching for this, hoping that we would eventually get clarification about how the FTC feels about the issue. We are frequently approached by bloggers requesting free product in exchange for a published review. Some are professional. Others, well, not so much. Now that the FTC guidelines have been published, please stay tuned for more from Cotton Babies on this all-important subject. I want to digest this document before I dive into my thoughts. While you’re waiting, here is a link directly to the FTC

Are we a big company?
September 25, 2009 11:50 am | by

I read an awesome blog post last night from a Cotton Babies customer. Autumn Beck runs “All About Cloth Diapers“. Here is a quote from what she wrote here:   Okay, I’ve always been honest with y’all so I won’t hold back. When I first started cloth diapering I strongly disliked all things made by Cotton Babies. I know, terrible, isn’t it?! You want to know what’s worse? I had never even tried one of their products. I completely made some crazy assumption that it was “big business” with no family behind it. Um…I couldn’t have been more wrong. Cotton

After rumors and speculation have flooded Facebook, Twitter, the Blogosphere and message boards for weeks, we are so excited to share with you what we have been up to at Cotton Babies… Cotton Babies, the makers of the top-rated cloth diapering system, bumGenius, have developed two brand new cloth diapering systems that will make it easier than ever to cloth diaper your baby. bumGenius & Cotton Babies Reviews
July 17, 2009 4:45 pm | by

I’ve always been bothered by reviews that I read that were not organically inspired by the writer’s natural desire to share information. I generally disregard anything written before the product was available to the public or even by someone who got the product free. I just do… it means much more to me as a reader when a review was written by someone who just liked the product and decided to tell the world about it. I feel the same about movie reviews. When a friend tells me that a movie is safe for my kids to watch, then I’m more

New Limits on Rear Facing Seats
July 17, 2009 1:12 pm | by

This summer, not one or two but THREE seats have now come out with new rear facing weight limits. First Graco released its brand new My Ride seat. It rear faces to 40 pounds and forward faces to 65 pounds. It was the first seat to break the 35 pound rear facing weight limit and retails for around $150. It got pretty good reviews and looks like it will be tall enough to allow children to rear face until they are 3 or possibly 4 years old depending on the height of the child. One caveat to this seat is
