Let’s set the record straight — there is NO cream, lotion or oil that is safe to use on bumGenius, Flip or Econobum diapers. Despite what you see, hear or read, we ALWAYS recommend using a barrier with any cream or lotion. A lot of people think that because something says its cloth diaper safe (sorry, coconut oil!) you do not need to use a barrier.  This is not true and will void your warranty because these products can cause issues such as leaks, odors, and unnecessary wear and tear. Diaper cream — our favorite topic. In fact, it seems to be everyone’s favorite topic when it comes to cloth diapers. A LOT of parents often wonder if cloth diaper cream is okay to use with cloth diapers and the answer is yes, but under a few conditions. You see, with bumGenius, Flip and Econobum cloth diapers, you can’t just lather your baby’s bum in a cream and place a cover over it. This will void your warranty, as it can cause a whole mess of issues such as leaks, odors, and unnecessary wear and tear. Creams and lotion are designed
