Review: Lifefactory Glass Storage Containers
October 25, 2015 8:43 am | by

Packing snacks when we go places is a must with my little guy. He’s a very energetic, growing toddler who’s always ready to eat so I pack a little something to take along anywhere we go. Plus, I don’t have to stop somewhere to grab a bite to eat or have to opt for fast food. I’ve become quite picky with what and how I pack his snacks and, after multiple incidents of plastic tubs either cracking or leaking, I knew there had to be something else out there that would work for our needs. I was a huge fan of

Review: BumGenius Liquid Laundry Detergent
August 27, 2015 7:52 pm | by

If bumGenius laundry detergent had a #1 fan, it would be me. When I first started cloth diapering,I didn’t think it was necessary to use laundry detergent that was formulated for cloth diapers. Instead, I just used my homemade version. As a result, I would get so frustrated by the constant cloth diaper leaks. Then, I used a store-bought laundry soap, thinking it would help with the leaks. It didn’t. At that point, I educated myself on how to properly wash cloth diapers and found that cloth diaper detergent wasn’t just a marketing technique. Since these detergents are free of the additives that often clog

Review: Mrs B’s Handmade Soap
August 13, 2015 7:20 pm | by

I received a few different baby soaps as gifts before my daughter was born. I didn’t put too much thought into bathing her — beyond the fact that it needed to happen regularly — so I just used the first thing I opened. The soap I was using worked fine, but then I received a bar of Mrs. B’s Calm Baby Soap. I was unsure about using bar soap at first, however, the very first time I used it I was hooked. I just swirl it around in her washcloth a couple times and the lather is so rich and smooth.

Review: Aden + Anais Shampoo & Bubble Bath
July 30, 2015 9:31 pm | by

Aden + Anais makes some of my favorite baby products. I not only use their stuff on my children, but I often buy aden + anais to give as shower gifts. So you can imagine that when the shampoo and bubble bath were released, I knew I’d love both.  The scent for both the bubble bath and shampoo is sweet sandalwood. It is very light and earthy, and I felt it was perfect for my 1 and 3 year old. My baby has severe eczema so I am very wary of soaps and lotions on her skin, but I was pleasantly surprised after using

Review: California Baby Sunscreen and Bug Repellant
July 14, 2015 5:49 pm | by

Summer is here, and you know what that means! Ample time to enjoy all kinds of fun outdoor activities: hiking, swimming, watching fireworks, attending parties, picnics, and summer camp, and of course, plenty of unstructured outdoor play! Using sunscreen on a daily basis is SO important to protect your family’s skin from sun damage. But it’s also SO important to me to use a product without a lot of chemicals, so it’s safe for skin in other ways. We protect our skin with California Baby Sunblock, which provides UVA/UVB protection, is PABA-free and hypoallergenic. The mineral-based lotion is super

Review: Bump Nest Pregnancy Pillow
January 30, 2015 11:50 am | by

Let’s talk about the Bump Nest Pregnancy Pillow. When I was expecting, I wasn’t sure I was going to need a special pregnancy pillow. A pillow is a pillow, right? Wrong! I received the Bump Nest pillow as a gift before I even had a baby bump. I felt reluctant to use it so early in my pregnancy, but hey — I also felt reluctant to wear maternity pants before I absolutely HAD to. Never again will I wait to use either of those things. DO IT NOW! Heck, do it even if you’re not even pregnant. The Bump Nest pillow,

Review: SprayPal
January 24, 2015 2:38 pm | by

When you start using cloth diapers,  everything seems like unicorns and rainbows. Really. Who doesn’t want a rainbow of colorful diapers and their unicorn print? 😉 But then, your baby starts eating solids and you find out that cloth diapering isn’t rainbows and unicorns at all. It’s actually full of poop. Poop that is in your cloth diapers that has to come out — some how, some way! Now let me warn you, cleaning the poop is going to be messy. And it certainly isn’t fun. This doesn’t have to be so bad! You see, there are people thinking about us parents

Review: NoseFrida Snot Sucker
January 9, 2015 5:36 pm | by

The NoseFrida definitely falls under my top 10 must-have baby/toddler items. I invested in one when my little guy was about 4 months old and have been such a HUGE fan of it since. The regular bulb syringe that we were given in the hospital just wasn’t cutting it for us. I could never tell if it was really working. It seemed too big for my baby’s tiny nostrils, and I’m not going to lie.. I was totally freaked out by all of the mold rumors associated with this product. After making the switch to the NoseFrida, I’ve never looked back. It’e

Review: Diva Cup
December 4, 2014 7:56 pm | by

WARNING: This post contains information about bodily functions and is personal. Periods. And I’m not talking about the kind that go at the end of a sentence. Yes, I’m referring to your menstrual cycle. Did you know there are other products you can use during period than tampons or disposable pads? More than likely, you already cloth diaper your baby (especially if you’re reading this blog), but are you still using disposable products for yourself? Maybe you don’t know what’s really available. Maybe you don’t know how easy reusable menstrual products are to use. Or maybe you’re grossed out by the idea. If

Review: MilkDaze Nursing Cami
July 10, 2014 6:11 pm | by

It’s hard to find a nursing tank that meets all of my criteria – not too skimpy, supportive, comfortable, and easy to nurse in. With the birth of my third baby in April, I was on the lookout for the perfect tank. The MilkDaze Nursing Cami has been the best I’ve found so far. The nursing tank is true to size. I wear a large shirt and the large tank fits well. It’s nice and long, which I like because I don’t want my postpartum belly popping out of my clothes. The tank is a bit low cut, but it’s perfect to
