Tuesday Giveaway: bumGenius BabyLegs!
July 12, 2011 1:26 pm | by

Here at Cotton Babies, we love a practical item. Add a bit of beauty to it and we are SOLD! We just love our bumGenius BabyLegs that coordinate with some of your favorite bumGenius and Flip colors.

We agree with Kelsie, a Cotton Babies customer who said:

These are so cute and can be worn all year. They help keep socks on, and protect baby from carpet burn and sunburn. I would definitely recommend these.

We also love to give them away, so today’s prize packs will include your choice of a bumGenius 4.0 cloth diaper and one pair of bumGenius BabyLegs. To enter, share with us in the comments below the best thing that has happened to you this week. Did your little one learn a new trick? Did you feel the first kick of your unborn child? Did your 2 year old say something really funny? We want to hear it!

Eligible entries must be posted by Wednesday, July 13, 2011. U.S. Residents only. Void where prohibited by law. No purchase necessary to win. Winners will be drawn at random on Thursday, July 14, 2011 and notified via e-mail. (Please make sure Cotton Babies staff can see your e-mail in your comment or through your Blogger profile page.)

This week, I took my 14 month old camping. I thought it was be horrible and exhausting keeping a toddler away from fire, bugs, dirt, etc. Once I gave up on the dirt and bugs and focused only on fire safety, we had a wonderful time! She even had her first ride on a bicycle!

Our first baby is due any day now, and while we are enjoying each day as potentially our last as a twosome, my husband enjoys rubbing my belly and talking to our son, reassuring him that it’s safe to come out and we will provide him with so much more loving and cuddling than we can while he’s still in utero.

I’ve had a lot of complications with this pregnancy regarding an excess of amniotic fluid and when I went into the doctor on monday she said my fluid levels looked great and coming in for twice weekly NST’s and ultrasounds were no longer necessary from here on out and I only have to continue with my weekly checkups (I’m 36 weeks). It was the best news ever and relieved me of so much stress regarding how my baby was doing!

We went camping this past weekend. We have 5 kids, 3 of which are in diapers. It was so fun and easy to CD while camping! PF’s for the two younger ones (the littlest is only 1 month old!) and my favorite diapers for the oldest, BG’s and itti bitti’s! Totally worked!! I didn’t have to worry about diapers leaking or running out of diapers. We could just enjoy camping and the beautiful Oregon coast!

Out kitchen faucet broke and my husband is out of town. 🙁 I was feeling frustrated and overwhelmed trying to deal with it when five people from my church offered to help! Two people offered to watch my baby for me while I got it sorted out, two guys went out and bought a new faucet for me, a couple invited us over for dinner, and one guy actually installed it himself for me! Wow! That is the best thing that happened to me this week! heidiballek@gmail.com

We started our driving-to-visit-grandparents vacation… and our 16mo dd handled the first leg (7hrs) pretty well.

She’s also learned a new sound ‘llll’ which she only makes after I or dh say we love her.

She’s beautifully behaved in fancy restaurants. (In laws took us! We actually got to eat a meal we didn’t make ourselves! )

We have a large family, so almost every time we get in the car, we “count off.” Each child has their own birth order number to make sure everyone is accounted for before we go or come home from anywhere. This week, my youngest learned to add his number into the count! It sounds more like the word “cease” (he’s number six), but it is SO cute and he knows we love it!

Our best moment just happened at dinner. My husband thought our 7 month old should try some organic sweet peas, so he leaned in close to her with a bite on her spoon and was making faces and cooing at her while he put the sweet peas in her mouth. The second the peas hit her tongue she started blowing rasberries (her new favorite thing to do) and blew peas all over him! When he turned to look at me (I was laughing so hard I was crying) he looked like he had a crzy disease that caused green spots to form all over his face! It was classic!

Don’t you just love it when a completely ordinary day suddenly turns into an absolutely delightful one?

A few days ago, my 4 month old daughter (Bea) and I made a pit stop into our favorite indie bookstore to pick up a book I ordered. I decided to pop into the organic toy store next door for a few minutes, too. While we were in there Bea got very fussy. So, I decided to head back to the bookstore, grab an iced latte, and feed her on their sofa. I ended up sitting on their sofa for an at least an hour, reading, as Bea ate and then slept on me. It was one of the best hours I have had since she was born.

However, this week (5 weeks postpartum!), I managed to bake a scrumptious homemade chocolate cinnamon cake, complete with homemade chocolate icing. It is delicious and decadent, and I loved the baking experience (mommy time!). The clean up, not so much. 😉

Our family got to take a day off and enjoy some much needed time together this week. Our 5 and 3 year old boys loved seeing the sharks and penguins at the aquarium and our baby girl liked being carried around by mommy. 🙂

This week, my 4 month old daughter discovered her vocal cords! She wakes me up at 7:30 each morning by making a tuba noise with her lips while blowing spit bubbles, then laughs when I peek at her through the crib. She says “haaaa” as well. Now if I could just change that to “Maaa Maa”!

My baby has itchy eczema. We saw a dermatologist and within four days he has really improved! The best thing to happen to me is to not see my baby itch! Karenmwebster@gmail.com

I am 24 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. Going tomorrow to find out the gender, since the baby wanted to hide for the 20 week ultrasound.

We’re happy to be rounding up to 34 weeks with our second baby, last time around, we barely made it to 36, so we have high hopes it will all go ‘normally’ this time. I’m getting a ton of huge wobbles in my belly, which is a lot of fun. Also grown about 2 inches OUT in the last week. oh boy!

The best thing that happened to me this week was my 4 month old Son over came his first fever. Although it was scary and sad for both Dad and I, his first smile after it passed was priceless! <3 My boy makes me one Lucky Momma!

We just moved from South Dakota to North Dakota less than a week ago, and now we are at camp this week with a bunch of preteen kids! My 16 month-old is having a blast. It has been his first time in a boat and in a lake. I am so proud of how well he has been doing. He is such a little trooper!

My friends decided to include a raffle for a pedicure at my baby shower. To enter the raffle, all the guests have to do is bring me a bumgenius 4.0 diaper off of my cotton babies registry, or a diapering accessory! I have had TONS of people tell me they’re going to buy me diapers. That makes me super-happy!
