Hugs! Kisses! Cooking a meal!
Making baked goods for my favorite people . I make THE BEST heath bar oatmeal cookies ever!! yummy!
I think simple is sometimes better. A sincere thank you can be really powerful.
Even if I know I’ve told my hubby that I love him that day, I’ll randomly give him a big squeezy hug and ask “have I told you how much I love you today”?
I also tell my 13mth old every night whilst hugging him and putting in to bed (as well as at any chance I get to tell him I love him) that Mummy loves him more than there are stars in the sky and fishes in the sea.
There is only one thing better than shopping in Hong Kong, and that’s eating. From small noodle joints to upscale French restaurant, you will locate all sorts of restaurant, eating hall and snack stall on earth in Hong Kong. Here I found small amount of Hong-Kong-styled snacks online (yummiexpress.freetzi.com). This is definitely a good choice before I have $ for another trip.
My favorite is lot of quality time and some fresh cookies!

It depends on who they are, but I love hand-making items that can be displayed or used. I like making cards that can be framed, or blankets, hats, or toys that can be used.
I like to buy treat drinks!

I like to show my Hubby how much I care about him by having his clothes, Keys, and shoes all laid out next to the shower so it’s a no brainer at 5 am. 🙂

Just snuggling! 🙂

I like to give hugs.
But I just asked my husband and he said “Offer to not help them with their math homework.” Hmmmm… guess I’m not very good at math.
I love to leave notes for my husband to find before he leaves for work in the morning.
Lots of hugs, kisses, and smiles!! This is my favorite way that my baby shows he cares about me too!
Baking 🙂
I like to tell them face to face 🙂
Growing up, I became so passionate about caring for others and making a difference in other peoples lives that I became a nurse! Now, not only am I able to care for my family, but i also have the opportunity to care for others out in the community and help make their lives better every day! It’s the little things that leave the biggest impressions! :0)
I don’t make a big to-do about showing I care, its the little things. Like, always being there when a friend calls or needs me.
I like to show them I care by doing all the little things that they love but never get done. It’s always nice to see faces light up at the little things.
I love to cook for people to show them I care. I’m 20 weeks with our first baby (and more tired than I thought I’d be), so my husband knows that if I can summon up the energy to make a good dinner, it’s because I really love and care about him.
I guess knowing how much more tired I’ll be when the baby arrives, I’ll have the opportunity to show this more often! 🙂

Little random acts of kindness… that normally go unnoticed but I know I did the right thing. =)
I always used to write small notes and include these small gestures of kindness and love in my children’s lunches. One of my daughters was recently married and has told me that she includes small notes in her husband’s lunches, and she can’t wait for the day to include these notes in her children’s lunches!
Thanks for the giveaway!

I love to send random, unexpected cards to the people I love… Just out of the blue. Such a fun way to make someone’s day.
sarahscoffeebreak at yahoo dot com
I love to send completely unexpected cards to friends and family via snail mail. It seems that only bills arrive in the mail today, so I like to make their day a little brighter with a surprise “I care about you” card!
Our wedding vows included “do the simple and beautiful things that make your love.” So everyday, I make a point to do just that. Anything from writing a love note in the fogged over mirror after a shower to putting on make-up and dressing up before my husband gets home from work.

I like to make their favorite meals, give them lots of hugs and kisses, and leave them little surprises that I know will bring smiles to their faces.
My husband and I both love letters, so we often write one another cards, even on random days.
I was taught that serving people is the best way to show people that you love them. So I serve my family, my friends, my church, and my community. Food, babysitting, sharing things, etc.; all of it works for me.
A handwritten note or card is one of my favorite gifts to give or receive!
drury.jessica@gmail.com

My hubby is a full time student and a full time youth pastor at our church so he can have some pretty long week days! What I do to show him I care is by making his favorite cookies: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. He gets to come home to the smell of freshly baked cookies and it instantly brightens his day! (The hardest part is not eating them all before he comes home LoL)

Sweet little notes hidden for your loved one or of course a great home cooked meal!aeskeen@gmail.com
I’m a paper folding fanatic. I love giving people flowers or strings of lights illuminated by the objects I fold. It takes a great deal of time and energy to fold even the smallest of some of my objects and I feel like it really translates to the people I share them with.
I love to surprise people with cookies or just little notes to let them know I appreciate them.
Baking pies or cookies with TONS of love….the really great crust and flavor tends to help but I suspect it’s mostly the love part that makes it great!
Looks like a popular idea, but I too, love to cook for others when they need it (after coming home from the hospital, during illness, etc.). I know it was such a huge help for me when I had a newborn!

My husband’s Love Language is Acts of Service–so this past week I have made a HUGE effort to keep the house very tidy. He has walked into a clean kitchen for the past week and a half, and always rewards me with a smile, a kiss, and a thank you.
For my kids, I show love by being Patient–not so easy. 🙂
Today is my birthday!! I usually get showered with more love. 🙂 but my display of love and care is 24/7. I show hubby and little baby by serving and smothering them w hugs and kisses of course.

I show my husband that I care by leaving random notes and text messages for him. We have a contest everyday to see who says “I love you more, first one of the day.” For everyone else, I usually make dinners or bake some goodies, or do some artsy craftsy stuff.
If we’re going to see a relative or friend who has given my daughter clothes as a gift, I try to have her wear one of the outfits they have given her. 🙂
Spending as much time together as possible!
I like to buy my grandson things to provide for him and give him a childhood different than I had.

I love hand made cards. My five month old daughter and I used her feet to make little pink footprints and then we glued them onto heart shaped cutouts for family and friends.
I like sending mail. Emails are great every day, but just going to the mailbox and seeing something in there for you that’s not a bill or an advertisement is really nice 🙂
I love to celebrate the ordinary every-day occasions just to make their day. For example, it’s 42 degrees outside: perfect to get outside and play tag! Or I love baking cookies with my 2 year old just because. Every once in a while I like to send a card (through snail-mail lol) to someone who might need a smile. 😀 Sometimes it’s nice to get a real card or letter in the mail.
My husband bought a couple of stuffed animals to donate to Children’s Hospital. They are used to comfort kids who need something to hold in an ambulance or helicopter. Him donating to this cause was the better than anything else he could have given me!
My favorite way is to make a point of mentioning something specific I appreciate or like about them- people really remember things like that & it shows that you really pay attention to them & truly care.
I love giving gifts! It makes me feel special!

Leave love notes for my husband to find throughout the day. Send my dad little emails or texts here and there from his soon to be first grandchild 🙂 invite my sweet brother over for dinner and make him a special vegetarian meal just for him since my husband and I are not vegetarians.
A simple and genuine “I love you” is the best way I can show my family that I care. Also, trying my hardest to be patient and understanding. 🙂

I always tell my family I love them. I try to work hard at home, cleaning or cooking, or loving my kids, to show my appreciation to my husband for working so hard. I think saying please and thank you, sincerely, to anyone shows you care and recognize their actions.
tammyroby at iortechnology dot com
My daughter and I show each other our love by snuggling every morning after she wakes up. It’s a last little bit of peace before the craziness of the day begins.
For my family, I tell them how much I love them… every single day!
Hugs and kisses – lots of them!
I hold his hand when we are in the car or out on errands. It is the little gestures that show you care.
I love to make things for people. Family especially. Anywhere from quilts to diaper bags, to diapers and wipes! You name it, I can probably make it. And if I love ya a lot, I’ll give you something you really need or want!
For my husband, I love to do surprises for him. 30 days of notes before he’s 30th birthday. A couple surprise birthday parties. And there are the days where I know he really wants a video game, but he won’t get it because money is tight. I’ll get him that game if it’s on sale. Just to say I love you!
For my kids, I love just cuddling with them on the couch and watching whatever is their favorite cartoon or movie is. Or sharing my stash of cookies with them! (They got some thin mints for with lunch today!)
I really just like taking care of my family. I’m not the best housekeeper, so having a clean home when Daddy comes back from a business trip is like the ultimate way to say I care about him!
I show people I love them by spending quality time with them doing the things they love – whatever that may be.
I love to do little things for my family: take them somewhere special, make them a special treat, etc.

I make and deliver homemade Valentines every year with all different colors of fabrics and lace and write a message with rubber stamps. It was extra special this year because I got to make them for several of my 4-month-old daughter’s friends [they were from her].
My husband’s Valentine’s gift to our daughter was more BumGenius diapers. That was my favorite thing all night!

My husband is gone most Valentines, so I always make sure that he wakes up to a special text/email. With my children I made them cookies and surprised them at school with “lunch with mom” 🙂 salexa04@gmail.com
Yesterday I wrote my husband a poem about how wonderful a father he is and how that makes me love him even more. 🙂
I love putting together gift baskets with peoples favorite things!
elisabeth.scottswife@gmail.com
There are a couple of families in my town who are in need for various reasons – usually illness – and we make and delivery homecooked meals to them. It’s not a big effort from us, but the comfort of having a *real* dinner makes such a difference to people. I love doing this with my son to show him how lucky we are.
I’m a hugger!
The day after Valentines is my anniversary with my husband. So this day is even more special than the day before!
I give them a good meal and a nice hug!
I like to do whatever makes them smile. So if its a card, I send a card. if its dinner, I make a dinner! 🙂
By taking care of my family. I also love giving gifts-even small ones. I also like baking things for people.

I like showing I care by making homemade cards. I love to stamp and scrapbook, and I enjoy making cards that fit the person for whom I’m creating. I also love doing other small things that show I care. The other day I made chocolate chip cookies from my mom’s favorite recipe. When I returned some things of hers I’d borrowed, I included a bunch of the cookies, just because I knew she’d love them. I think the little things really show you care, just as much as any big thing.
Well, sometimes life doesn’t cooperate (especially life w/ kids!) when you have “plans” to show someone how much you care…. but even if things don’t turn out the way you wanted them to, a special hug (to anyone, not just your husband!) can mean the world.

Lots of Kisses!
A kiss and a I love you!!! It works with my kids and husband a least 😉
Wow, there are so many ways I love to show how much I care, but nothing is better than a special breakfast cooked just the way they like it. It’s the best way to start a celebratory day!
I love big bear hugs! My daughter always wants to bake daddy cookies. I think that is her love language.
Brittani72 at aol dot com
For my husband it’s keeping him fed well, haha! The key to his heart is through his stomach. As for my son, I show him I love him by trying to always do my very best for him. He gets lots and lots of kisses, hugs, and attention!
A simple hug and kiss anytime, anywhere is the best in my book to show others I care!
For me it’s making sure that their interests count, and I invest my time in those things. For my DD it might mean that I watch/listen to her prance around the house in her tap shoes a little longer than my eyes/ears would normally do (with a smile). For my husband it might be investing more time/recourse into ministry (his job), or making sure the house is a haven of rest for him!
annaleighadams@gmail.com
I know it’s cliche, but I’m all about food when it comes to showing my family that I love them and am thinking about them. Simple acts like leaving out a few raw carrots for my daughter who hates cooked carrots, or baking an especially yummy batch of cookies everyone enjoys, or for my husband I make him his own piece of meat rather than splitting a piece between all of us. It’s just so simple, but there you have it.

My favorite way to show someone I care is to be there for them…no matter what!
In my house we leave washable markers in the bathroom for writing sweet messages/funny pictures on the bathroom mirror to each other. Everybody gets involved! I love walking into the bathroom in the morning and seeing the “I love you Mommy” and “I love you Daddy” messages! and even messages from my husband. Plus the washable markers are safe and wash off the mirror. No worries! ~It just melts my heart!~ 🙂

My 9 year old daughter and I made heart shaped cookies and brownies for her carpool driver, her teacher and daddy! I made the family a wonderful steak dinner, we lit candles and had a great night as a family.
I try to teach my children to do simple things all year.
Hold the door open for the person behind you.
Let someone with less items go in front of you at the grocery store check out.
If someone drops something around you, pick it up for them.
Simple things go a long way and can sometimes mean more than you know.

Interesting because I have just been reading the Five Love Languages of Children and found that both my girls accept love different ways, For my ODD I love to show her by sitting down and spending quality time with her, maybe reading or coloring but YDD I do by encouraging her with lots of loving words… my Hubby, well, lets say his love language is physical touch. 😀

I LOVE to bake…so a special treat for a special someone!
There are never enough hugs, kisses and “I love you[s]” to show my hubby and son just how much I care for them.
johannakalman@gmail.com
a smile, hug and kiss 🙂
I do different things for different people. For my husband I show him I love him by having a nice dinner for him after a long day of work and taking good care of our house and children. For my friends, I like to surprise them with little things I know they like. My parents and grandparents feels special when we drop in with the kids to say hi.

I am a giver and even if it’s small love giving gifts to show my affection. 🙂
I like to show someone that I care by writing them a letter. A real paper letter. Everyone likes getting real mail that isn’t a bill 🙂
I love to GIVE! A gift picked out specifically for a person can be so special. On a tight budget, I love to cook and bake. Nothing says I appreciate you like a meal or baked good made especially for you~
Snuggling up with my hubby…my daughter is too wriggly to snuggle with anymore (8 months old)…She’d much rather be grabbing at my eyeballs & hooking her fingers into my mouth!!! 😀

I like to send snail mail, because it’s so rare to get a personal note throught the mail anymore. I know I sure like getting little mail surprises from friends!
Usually by baking something yummy.

Simple, but meaningful…I like to leave notes for my husband in his lunch or otherwise. It’s a sweet surprise and lets him know I care. 🙂
I show I care by spending time with them and trying to do things for them without being asked.
I love to cook for people, volunteer to watch peoples kids if they are needing help
I like to make home made gifts.
I like to show my husband and family that I care by setting aside time to spend just with them. Nothing beats quality time spent with those you love 🙂
I like making things for people by hand – like carving leather belts or painting something or cooking. I love putting together theme gifts as well.
It’s kind of silly, but I show my husband I care by making him a yummy/healthy lunch everyday. When he opens his lunchbox at work, I know he thinks of me and smiles. Food is always a good way to show you care. Sometimes I put special cards or love letters in his lunchbox…for a little extra smile!

A starbucks!! it makes everybody’s day!
A hug and a smile are my fave…a homemade meal and gift are my other faves
meeghan.rayner@sbcglobal.net
It’s important to show it everyday. I always give my husband a kiss and tell him I love him in the mornings before he leaves for work. And I always give my son kisses and let him know I love him very much. 🙂
Blairbeargirl19@verizon.net
I know it’s lame, but sleep — my husband handles most of the middle-of-the-night meltdowns because I work late, even though he works in the mornings. So when I can I try to let him sleep all night. <3
Also, we’re very affectionate — hugs and kisses all around.
I love to feed people! Good food and yummy desserts, that is how I show someone that I love them (well, not the only way, but you know what I mean).
I make a special homemade cake. Hand decorated 🙂
I love to bake for friends and family as a way to show how much they mean to me. Life is sweet!

I show my family I care by buying and cooking with as many organics as we can afford. It costs more now, but if it keeps my babies healthy and saves my kids from even one unnessesary hospital visit… it is worth it!
dancglady@yahoo.com
Hugs and making yummy food. 🙂
I sewed my girls each a pair of pants. The design on them is cherries shaped like hearts. Then I made them each a Valentine card. I set the pants on the chair in the livingroom with the cards on top. When they woke up they saw them. Then we cleaned all day and surprised Daddy with a “fancy” candle lit dinner. We all put on pretty dresses and turned the lights off. We ate by candle light and pretended we were in a fancy restaurant. The kids loved it. So did Daddy 🙂

I show people I care by listening when they speak. Asking how someone’s day or evening has been.
I showed my sweet 3 year old I cared for Valentine’s day by letting him have a lollipop. 🙂

I love to tell my 3-year-old “I love you” and she always responds with “So does I, mommy!” That is her little way of telling me she loves me as well.
Mandam1018 at yahoo dot com
Made my hubby his favorite meal. 🙂
My 1-year-old and I did lots of pink/red things yesterday to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Her oatmeal was made pink with pureed strawberries, we cut out pink hearts to make a card for Daddy, we made truffles with red sprinkles, we had spaghetti for dinner (her favorite!), and Daddy brought her home some pretty pink tulips!
love doing little things that make everyone’s life alittle bit simpler even if its something as holding the door open for someone
I am definitely a hugger!! My son, even though he is only 9 months old, is showing signs of being the same way. I love it!!
I make a “Mommy Care Package” for my friends who are giving birth. Its full of toiletries and stuff that’s hard to pack ahead of time for the hospital, and includes snacks for their partner (or them, postpartum) all in a nice little wet bag they can use for cloth diapering (or plenty of other stuff if they’re not).
I like to surprise my wife by just spontaneously rubbing her back or feet. She loves it…

I show them I care by being there for them when they need me the most. Whether it’s helping out with chores, cooking a meal for them, or babysitting/dogsitting for them when they want or need time to themselves, or if they just need someone to talk to.]

I made heart shaped pizza (home made) with the kiddos while Tweeting #clothdiapers via my phone! Hubby brought us all home flowers, then we enjoyed Bugs Life and grub! Wonderful evening with the fam!
Wow, great topic!! I’m always looking for fun creative ways to show people I love them =-) My husband will surprise me and bring home my favorite coffee from time to time. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that mean the most!
I really enjoy surprising people with cupcakes I made just for them <3

I show people I care in different ways. Sometimes it’s a phone call or a hug. It may also be shown through encouraging words or a handmade gift. Sending a package in the mail for no reason is a great way to show someone you care!
The simple things- packing up my husband’s lunch for him, putting away his laundry or just giving him a big ol’ hug.
for my husband…by baking him something, he is all about the baked goods.
I leave love notes for my husband everywhere, his lunch box, pillow, jacket pockets, etc.
i love to make mix CDs for my friends, family, even my husband who doesn’t love music the way I do!

Homemade gifts, food or crafts, homemade cards.
I like to bake…which is difficult with a 2 month old! But yesterday I baked sugar cookie hearts and piped special sayings on them. We made special ones for “Grams” & “Pops” and hand delivered their Valentines.:)

Nothing says I care more than a surprise latte!
I love to bake for all of my favorite friends and close family members!
I like to bake things for people to show them I care.
We show daddy love overseas with artwork, lots of pictures and frequent care packages from home.
We also show him love by not telling him how much we are spending on diapers. lol
I just make sure I tell my friends and family how important they truly are. Everyone deserves a compliments…no matter who they are.
My husband and I don’t get much time together because he’s gone from 3:30am most mornings untl 4pm at the earliest. Once he’s home he just wants to relax and sleep. I show him I care by sitting down and playing video games or having a movie night with him instead of worrying about the house.
I’m a love to bake so if I like you, you better like cupcakes. 🙂
I show love with lots of hugs and snuggles and sometimes fresh-baked brownies, even if they are from a box.
ekallenberg@gmail.com
I think that showing that you care can be the smallest acts of kindness. You don’t have to buy elaborate things, you don’t have to buy things at all. Make someone’s favorite meal, send a quick note, text, or email just to let someone know you are thinking of them.
I like to surprise my husband and show him I care by making him his favourite cake, or having his lunch all packed up before he wakes up. That includes making peanut butter sammiches, and I can’t stand the smell of peanut butter. If that’s not love, i don’t know what is!
My favorite way to show I care is to smile & always offer help. 🙂
I love sending or giving personal handwritten cards. There is nothing quite like snail mail! 🙂
jennifer_atchison at hotmail dot com
I like to make meals and bake for people, or send little handwritten notes. For tw hubby and little one snuggles, hugs, and kisses work.
I like to CALL them on the telephone, instead of texting, IMing, emailing, ect.
I learned that a simple phone call saying “hey, I love and care for you” can mean the world to people these days. <3
I like to show someone I care by giving them handmade gifts that really reflect who they are as a person. My sister, for instance, is a hairdresser, so I used pretty printed cotton coupled with some PUL to make her a unique hair dressing cape. Handmade gifts are not only one of a kind, but they show that you made a time investment in that person.

I let my husband sleep in 🙂 In all seriousness, I love to snuggle and say I love you whenever I can. I try and do special things for everyone in my life to show them I care. Little things that maybe only the two of us are “in” on.
Having a clean comfy home and homemade food! Oh… and clean diapers and lots of snuggle time!

My husband works from home most Fridays, so once in a while as a treat, I make his favorite lunch. We call it grown-up grilled cheese. I use Dubliner on sourdough and make my homemade spicy tomato bisque.
My ‘favorite’ way is just being there for them. I leave my hubby notes and hug my kids.

I show my daughter and husband I care by giving them hugs and kisses, and making my husband his favorite meals.
My favorite way is just doing unexpected things. A few weeks ago, after it had been cold and snowy for several days, I ran outside before he came home from work and wrote “I Love You” in the snow with colored juice. It wasn’t pretty, but it was a surprise!

A hug and a kiss and saying I love you, best three ways to me.

For my hubby, I love to cook, and bake for him.
For my five month old, I enjoy cuddling with him, and making him homemade purees so I know he is getting good food.
I set aside time as a family to play a board game or video game together. Friends or relatives get a card in the mail out of the blue. It’s the little things that count the most!
cooking/ making yummy surprises for them! Made my hubby a healthy trail mix snack with my 3 year old today, they both loved it!

Two things:
Sometimes we spend a day with just that person doing whatever it is they love to do.
We love to get out all of our art supplies and make customized cards.
I make special cards and treats just somthing to show how much I care
I like to give home cooked meals! Nothing warms a heart like a hot dish in the middle of winter in Minnesota! 🙂
I love to give to ppl to see their faces light up. I love lil homemade treats or gifts an a special little card
Cooking! I love making homemade goodies for my daughter and husband. My husband loves a great home cooked meal.
I love to write heartfelt letters to people saying the things I never say enough!
I show my husband I care, by giving him tons of hugs, and kisses. I made him a canvas board with the japanese symbol for love, and our names and anniversary for Valentines day. I also try to get as much cuddle time with my kids as I can.
Cooking a meal!
Hugs and sending cards/e-mails are my usual methods.

My favorite way for my husband is to let him go fishing all day and then grill a steak (or fish, if he caught some!) for him when he gets home. For my son, it’s lots of hugs and kisses!
I like to show people I care by sending little emails or notes to let them know that I am thinking about them. 🙂

I make sure to call or write an email to my intermediate family at least twice a month to let them know I’m thinking of and love them. If I have the time I’ll send a special treat (homemade treats!). I spend time each week alone with each of my 4 kids and we do something they want to do. I also try to write DH a note every morning and put it in our van so he sees it on his way to work. It’s nice to know people care, and I care about them alot :o)

I like to bake cookies and give hugs.
Being a good listener…
giving a hug..or a kiss(depending on if it’s my hubby or baby girl)
an encouraging word…
a prayer..
I tell my son every day. Yesterday I went and bought him red and pink and white helium balloons just because I knew he’d have a field day bashing them around…so I put them in his room while he was napping and when he woke up the first thing he saw when he sat up to get out of bed was a big bunch of balloons… he beat ALL of the helium out of them and now they’re “balls” for him to kick around on the floor—its amazing how quickly he managed to kill them. 😀 Totally worth the few dollars I spent, though 😀
And he shows me he cares after 90% of his nap-times by coming in, climbing on my lap, and wanting nothing but Mommy snuggle time and juice for about a half hour after. Yep, my lil man loves me 😀
Baking is probably what I do most. Yesterday I made and decorated big cookies for my husband and all 10 of my children. (well except for baby!) I now have cookies all over my kitchen. lol
I’m a writer (although not professional), so ever since I was little I have written letters/cards to show my love for people. I’ve often written poems for my parents and my hubby. For my kids, I write fun little stories with them as the main characters. I love spreading the love! 🙂
I love dropping a card or note in the mail to a special friend or family member just because. Nothing makes my day more than to open my mailbox and get real mail that is not a bill.
I like to give random hugs, kisses, notes, treats, and gifts to my family. I believe doing it randomly shows that you’re thinking of them all the time instead of just on special occations.
I show I care in lots of little ways. I crochet, and make little gifts for my family…2 pairs of slippers completed yesterday. I like to make treats for my kids, baking, candy making. Yesterday I got each of my older kids one of those silly little heart boxes with 4 chocolates in it for $1…because a week ago my oldest commented how she loves that she gets one of those every year (lol I hadn’t realized it was important to her!) I show I care by loving my family every day! 🙂
Lots of hugs and kisses and I love you’s!!!

I am a hugger!
A giant hug and a sweet I love you!
I would love love love this! I show my love by being there for someone when they are down with hugs and listening ears. I am a listener so I mostly just ask how people are and hear what they have to say. I also show I care by giving lots of kisses (mostly to my little guy and hubby 🙂
I love to show my husband love by doing the little things… the dishes (I know, I know), taking out the trash for him, asking about his day, scratching his head while he relaxes, making him his favorite meals, making sure we have ice cream in the freezer, etc… And we both loved on our little Levi, age 1, with lots of hugs and playtime with mommy & daddy!
I love to buy people little things for no reason. I told my sister yesterday I’d buy her a new purse she’s been wanting and it made her day. The reactions are the greatest gift!
I care by giving hugs!
I love writing a hand-written note thanking a friend for something they did or said, no matter how big or small.
I like to surprise my husband with his favorite beer from time to time and last night I made him some chocolate covered strawberries. 🙂

I like to make a gift. One of my hobbies is beading, so I’ve made jewelry and bookmarks for people. Another is homemade jam or apple butter.
A kind word and ear of support goes along way.
small notes of appreciation
I love to do little things for my hubby…a meal, a note, an email, text message, etc! Yesterday, I wrote love notes all over the wall in the shower using my LO’s tub crayons! He loved it!
I love to send a quick text or email to friends / family just to let them know they are on my mind.
I love to bake my husband’s favorite cookies!
handmade or homemade goodies are my favorite gifts to give!
I love to cook really special dinners for my husband.
My favorite way to show people I care about them is through my actions. How that is done varies by person and by day. It might be a hug, doing a chore for them, sending a handwritten letter, choosing an activity they will enjoy, making something for them or even a small gift. I feel that actions go farther than words in most cases.
I love to cook and bake for people to show I care. It’s a great way to enjoy one of my favorite hobbies while letting my love shine through.
I show my husband I love him b making his lunch every morning.
I just love showing my loved one’s I care by simply telling them I love them and that Im always here no matter what the situation is we will pull through together 🙂 Im the kinda person that needs to be told and reminded that Im loved so I do the same for them 🙂
frenchyloveslarry@yahoo.com
I show my family I care by giving them my time. It’s often the small things that mean the most. Yesterday I baked my husband his favorite pie, but most days a small note or even just a hug shows how I feel.
I show my husband I care by helping him and spending time with him. He LOVES to be together. I show my daughter I care by drawing with her and snuggling her.
It’s rare that the husband and I have time to go out together or do anything fancy, so it’s just those random weeknights that we spend hanging together on the couch, eating ice cream and talking. The little things are what matter to us.
I like to leave my boyfriend random cards throughout the year, just to tell him I love him and I’m thinking about him. Valentine’s Day is great, but it’s the other 364 days that are really special 🙂
I think a card is a perfect way to show how much you care. It’s a place for you to put your personal thoughts down on paper for the recipient to read over and over. I Love receiving and giving cards.
I think sending unexpected notes or greeting cards is the best way I show I care. Getting a personal note is really wonderful during the middle of a week! Or… at least that is my philosophy! I also think that telling someone thank you or that you appreciate them for being X is really important. We are often so quick to complain that it is really great to be quick to praise, too!
We love you and ‘like’ you here in Canada too! Wish we could be part of your giveaways…although I have a US mailing address, if that counts 🙂
We show love with hugs, kisses, spending time together, reading books, setting boundaries…just everyday stuff, with the occasional treat after dinner.
I love to give gifts — especially homemade ones! 🙂

My husband’s love language is words of affirmation, so I know for him, that’s the best way to show him I care.. But he also likes when I bake him cookies! 🙂
A hug is a great way to let someone know you care! But when you can’t be there, I think a message on their facebook page to let a friend know you are thinking about them, is just as nice!
A home-made goody always says “I love you.”
I believe the way to anyone’s heart is through their stomach – so I love to cook for those I love!

I like to put little notes in my son’s and hubby’s lunch boxes. Just a little something that says Hi and How much I care.

I like to show people love by making some good food and then spending time with them! 🙂
I love giving gifts! Finding just the perfect thing is my favorite!
I show love by cooking! I’m the one that brings dinner/snacks/dessert instead of gifts. Today is my husband’s birthday and I’m making him 3 meals from scratch today, no gifts 🙂
I like to write – actually WRITE – a note and mail it. With a stamp!
I like to send a special care package full of things tailored to them.
I like cooking or baking for people to show I care.
For me, the best are the little things. I love when my husband does the dishes, even though they were my responsibility, without saying a word. Taking a load off my list is the best present I could get!
I like to make something yummy – cookies, smoothies, cinnamon rolls, bread. Or a hand made card. (Those don’t seem to happen as often lately – sleep deprivation has thrown a wrench in my creativity)
I like to show gratitude to store workers who are nice, I tell my family I love them, I like making a nice dinner for my hubby when he gets home from work, I applaud my baby because he loves clapping. I also love to bake so friends and neighbors usually get yummy treats throughout the year. 🙂 Kristen F. (designbykeea(at)gmail(dot)com)
I like playing “secret santa” no matter what time of year. It usually means dropping by a friends house with some flowers or cookies and an encouraging note that’s left unsigned. The tricky part is ringing the doorbell and getting out of sight before they answer the door!
I like to bake or cook their favorite food.
Reading 20 books in a row to my toddler, then setting up an art project for him to do!
Doing something little and thoughtful that would matter to them…getting their favorite drink at Starbucks, picking up a movie for them, etc.
with my son i am always sure to hug him and tell i love him at least everyday. With my hubby I like to send texts or emails letting him know I appreciate him, I also learned how to cook his ethnic foods!

I enjoy showing I care my cooking yummy food and doing things that the other person would not normally do for themselves.
One simple thing I do every school day is give each of my kids a hug and tell them I love them. We walk to school together, so the hugs happen in front of everyone. I love that they don’t mind the PDA. 😉

I’ve recently gotten into sending snail mail just to say hello. Also, I sew, so I like to make up something small and send it to a friend in the mail as a little surprise. Everyone loves getting non-bill snail mail! And packages?! Weeee!
Because of both our schedules, sometimes my husband & I go days without seeing each other. I show him how much I care by leaving him little notes in random places to bring a smile to his day & make our reunions sweeter.
I show I care by making sure that I set aside time for just me and them, be it my husband, my children or my friends. There is nothing better than one-on-one time to show you care. 🙂

I like to send “thinking of you” cards, just because–and sometimes I call up my DH’s grandparents just to fill them in on Luke (our 16 month old) and see how their lives are going!

I love to give handmade presents, so my 8-month-old son and I made my husband cards from paint and printed pictures of the two of them! My husband really loved it!
I show people I care by being kind and gracious.
Saying “I’ll get up with the baby, you sleep.” at 445am. After he wouldn’t sleep until 11pm! Thanks, love!

I love to bake so I usually show I care through custom baked goods.
My favorite way is to write a handwritten note on a handmade card and then them how special they are to me!
I show my husband I care by cooking for him. Left on his own, own he would eat hot dogs every day so I show my love with healthy meals.
I show my daughter love by smothering her with kisses!
I’m on bed rest with our third, so while I love baking, this year I laid on the couch and made Valentine Heart Bugs for my girls and looked up romantic quotes for a card for my husband.
By baking something yummy for them!
My husband and I have a 3 week old baby and we spent about 11 days in the hospital. So right now were finally home and getting into our own routine with our little girl. I didn’t want to go out for dinner or to buy anything for Valentines day, but didn’t want to forget about it all together either. So I made a homemade card and heart shaped homemade pizzas with heart shaped pepperoni. Thr romance can still be alive…even with a newborn! ♥
I like to do small unexpected things like making a suprise special breakfast! My daughter loves when we have homemade pancakes or waffles!
Baking/ cooking, definitely.
It has to be cooking one of my husband’s favorite meals or desserts, especially the ones that are a lot of work when I don’t even like them. I know it’s wrong to ‘love’ them with food but it feels so rewarding in the moment!
I try to always do little things for friends, passing on a tip or a recommendation, picking up something I see that I know they would appreciate (like new BGs for my friend who was interested in cloth diapering!). I’d like to think that my friends consider me to be a caring and thoughtful person.
For my husband, a clean house and a warm meal/dessert!
I think taking them out for a meal. Everyone loves eating and not having to clean up!
I like to cook for special people in my life to show them that I care 🙂
I love to randomly write a note and put it in the mail. These days, most of us get bills and junk in the mailbox, so a handwritten “I was just thinking of you” card tends to brighten the day.
I try to put the people I love first, every day! My family is my world! theresa.tolley@va.metrocastdotnet
I love showing my love for someone by purchasing the perfect gift for them, giving can be so rewarding!

I love doing something personal. For Valentine’s Day I made my husband a photo wall calendar. Each month was a photo of us. On the calendar grid I marked specials events, days and birthdays with photos as well. Just something for his office to make him smile 🙂
He loved it, and I’m so happy that he did 🙂
We made cookies and had lots of hugs yesterday!!!
simple acts of kindness and encouraging words i believe is the best way to show someone you care
I appreciate the litte things in life and I know my husband does too. One way I show him that I love him is by setting up our coffee maker every night so he has freshly brewed coffee when he wakes to go to work. One of the many ways I show him how much he is loved and how much we appreciate how hard he works for our family!
I love baking / making special homemade treats to show I care.
Doing something with a smile that you would normally complain about. My husband looooves Chinese food. Me? Not so much. But I know I can make his day by cheerfully suggesting we visit Hong Kong for dinner!
Paying attention to everyone’s needs and doing my best to make sure they are met. Showing affection on a daily basis so there is no doubt about my feelings.
Service! Doing something I know they need done. I also love giving gifts 🙂

I try to say thank you for the little things like doing the dishes or putting the baby to sleep.
I definitely think it’s all about the little things. Fixing a favorite meal, making the extra effort to clean up a little more, saying “I Love You” one more time, and making a handmade card. My husband gave me a lovely hand written letter- which means so much more than anything he could have bought.
I hide love notes in my husband’s things for him to find. I his a ton of notes when he was deployed and he really enjoyed finding then when we were far apart.
I love cooking and baking special treats for my loved ones.
I am always doing little things to make everyone feel special every day.
Since I’m with my family most of the time, the way I show I care is head rubs, kisses, hugs. Just lots of affection!
I’m a snuggler — hugs and kisses from me!!
Acts of service all the biggest displays of love 🙂
I love to cook for people! Last night I planned and cooked a fancy dinner for my husband for Valentines Day. He’s usually the meal planner and chef so he appreciated it!
I love putting little “love notes” in my husband’s lunch box!
And I can’t wait to do it with my daughter when she starts school and takes her lunch! 🙂

My husband loves it when I make dinners that are mostly vegetables. He’s unique that way but he’s easy to please! He also loves books. I got him 2 books for Valentine’s Day and he was really excited.
One of the best ways to show I care. Random hugs and kisses in the middle of the day unexpected to my husband. He loves it.

I like to show I care by remembering and using little details about a person that might normally be overlooked or forgotten.
It’s the little things; my husband loves chocolate chip cookies and he’s a CPA who is now in the middle of tax season. Since he’s working on Saturday’s now I had a cookie bouquet sent to his office this past Saturday.
I love to leave little note for the kids in their lunches, or send my hubby a silly love note via email to his work-
I show loved ones I care by spending lots of time with them, and making sure to tell them how important they are everyday! It never hurts to throw in the occasional special treat either! My husband and I love surprising our kids (and each other) with silly little things, the smile on their face is totally worth it 🙂
my favorite way to show that i care is by cooking. i try my best to make healthy meals that my family will enjoy. it takes a lot of time but its worth it to know my family is getting what they need to be healthy.
With my girls it’s hugs and kisses. With other it’s usually a little “thinking of you” gift or a kind word 🙂

Lots of hugs and cuddles! 🙂
I did all the diaper spraying for my husband on valentine’s day!
My favorite way to show I care is a good ole hug and kiss.
Shovel my neighbor’s driveway, bake a special cake, let DH sleep in, send a photo text to grandpa, surprise DH at the office, plan a benefit drive. So many ways!
I love giving hand made gifts. And as for my little ones I show I care by smothering them in hugs and kisses… sometimes I wonder if they think “Man, this woman kisses me way too much!” LOL!

I love to show people I care simply by telling them. I don’t need a special day to show my husband I love him. I do it at every opportunity I get. I think it’s best when it’s unexpected.
I show I care by telling my husband thank you everyday for how hard he works for us.. I show my 9 month old I care by smoothering him in kisses! lol

When friends need a little pick me up, or just because, I like to send a hand written note telling them how much I value their friendship and what I like about them.

my favorite way of showing someone I care is getting them a little something that’s their favorite (like candy, drink, etc.) or in the case of my husband..offering him a foot rub without him having to ask 🙂
I tell my guys every day that I love them. I’m a big fan of hugs too. It’s hard to stay mad when your arms are around someone you love.
I like the overt “I love you,” most of the time, but sometimes I go all-out and do something crazy, like wash someone’s dishes or make/buy them a meal. It’s often spontaneous. I also like planning big surprises, like buying someone a new stovetop. For my husband, it’s really hard because the best way to show him I live him is doing all those little things and being consistent…but I do my best!
The best way is with a hug!

I am definitely a gift giver. I love picking out just the right thing for someone. Or making a card. Especially for my husband. I love having my three year old help make cards or pictures for daddy. Or put little pictures or notes in all the random pockets of my husbands uniform for him to find while he’s at work.
I think it is important to show them everyday…tell people you love them when you feel it, don’t hold back. Hug them show affection, people sometimes just need a little pat to let them know you care. I try to pay attention to my friends and family to know when they are in need of an extra hug or kind words.
I love to show people I care by serving them…without complaint or strings attached!
My favorite ways of showing someone I care are cheap and simple so I can do them often! I like to do things for people — bring my husband a glass of water, do the dishes at my friend’s house. I also put little notes in my husband’s lunch – heart-shaped sticky notes are great!
My favorite way of showing someone I care is by doing something completely selfless and unexpected. It may be taking a friend dinner or helping them out with the kids. It may be taking our elderly neighbor lunch one day to surprise her.
Yesterday I showed I care to the kids in the after school program I work at, by allowing them to bring their Valentine’s treats into the homework room. I had a room full of 1st and 2nd graders who were more than usual willing to listen and do their homework. :0)
At home we had a completely unhealthy breakfast of Dunkin Donuts, and my son got a heart shaped Boston creme donut. :0)
It depends on who it is. With my dad, I just sit and shoot the breeze and tell old stories and laugh. I know he loves that. I help my mom in the kitchen and ask her advice about things. She appreciates the help. My husband I cook for, make him special little treats, and tell him repeatedly how good of a dad he is. When I’m feeling generous I’ll get up with him at 4 am and pack his lunch. I almost always take the middle of the night wake up calls from our toddler since I stay at home. For my toddler I sometimes give her special treats or play certain games with her, give her my bubble bath, turn up the radio and dance with her, and I tell her how proud I am of all her accomplishments, no matter how bittersweet. For my friends I lend an ear–no matter how many miles we are apart, and it doesn’t matter if they’re blog friends I’ve never met or college friends going through tough times. I’m there. My ‘currency’ is different for everyone, but the love given is the same.
I like to make them a delicious home cooked meal!
I show I care by leaving little notes in my husband’s jacket pockets and surprise friends and neighbors with cookies or a sweet treat.
I gave my 2 older Children a small gift for Valentines Day when they woke up they saw the gifts under their pillow. I hope they always remember that Mommy celebrated I Love You day with them and made them feel special..It’s not just a day for Mom and Dad!
