Here’s a quick and easy holiday activity for you and your little ones! DIY cereal ornaments!
The holidays are a perfect time to create memories with your family. We think fun activities like these promote family bonding and lots of smiles during the holiday season.
I don’t know about you guys, but December has passed by rather quickly. With Christmas just a few short days away, we are getting into the last-minute ornament making and cookie baking stage. One of my favorite ornaments to make with my little guy are these cereal wreath ornaments. They are super fun to make and great for fine motor skills! Here’s how you can make these fun little ornaments!
DIY Cereal Ornaments
Need:
Cereal – I chose Cheerios because they are gluten-free, but fruit loops would work as well!
Yarn – any color
Scissors
How To:
1. Trim a 12inch string of yarn for your little one.
2. Instruct them to string the cereal onto the ornament until they have filled the string 3/4 of the way. Feel free to snack while you create as well!
3. After they have placed the cereal on the string tie the cereal in a circle, almost like a cereal bracelet, and carefully tie the remainder of the string into a nice bow.
4. Hang the ornament on a tree, place it on a gift or eat!
These little ornaments are easy, fun and a great little craft to make with your littles. And if you are looking for another fun ornament to make be sure to check out these Salt Dough Ornaments!
