Easter Basket Ideas
April 4, 2017 8:00 am | by

Easter is right around the corner! Have you started thinking about what you’re putting in your little one’s Easter basket? With three little ones in our home this year, I’ve had to think through gift ideas for three separate age ranges.

Then: Baby’s 1st Easter Basket… as a New Mama

For my oldest son’s first Easter – and my first as a mom – I took so much time and care to make his Easter basket PERFECT! I found an adorable white wicker basket, picked fabric and sewed a basket liner, then had it embroidered with his name. I cushioned the bottom with pretty crinkled green paper grass and filled the basket with cute baby gifts; a Sophie Giraffe, a pair of soft-soled shoes, a stuffed bunny and a book. But I didn’t stop there! I had another basket for MORE gifts, filled with a cute woven rattle, organic carrot baby food and more stuffed bunnies. I even bought him two bumGenius 3.0 Grasshopper and Ribbit Easter diapers. Needless to say, I was pretty excited about this new mom moment.

Now: Two More Babies Later…

Well nine years and two more babies later, I’ve definitely relaxed a bit. I try to focus more energy on the meaning of the holiday, but still make sure my kiddos have a few fun surprises in their baskets. This year, I’m excited to once again be celebrating baby’s first Easter as we welcomed a new little man this past fall. Although his basket and liner will not be handmade, it will be full of fun baby gifts and lots of love.

Here are some of my ideas for each of my little chicks:
