TumblerLet me tell you why I love my Mary Pickersgill Tumbler. If there is one thing I’ve learned through my four pregnancies, it’s that proper hydration during pregnancy and breastfeeding is SO important! During early pregnancy, water intake helps increase blood volume and aids in the formation of the placenta and amniotic fluid. Throughout the first trimester, when nausea peaks, drinking water helps your body make up for any fluids lost from morning sickness, sweating, and those frequent trips to the bathroom. During the second and third trimesters, adequate hydration can help your body flush yours and Baby’s toxins, and keep constipation, swelling, headaches, excessive Braxton-Hicks contractions, and even UTIs at bay.

It’s equally important to keep drinking even after Baby is born! While there is no direct correlation between the quantity of water a lactating mother drinks compared to the quantity of her milk output, a breastfed baby can consume about one quart of breastmilk per day! So help keep your body in tip-top shape by drinking the recommended 8-10 glasses of water a day, plus more if you still feel thirsty or if your urine is dark. It has been my habit in the past to drink when the baby drinks. I keep a tall glass of water near me each time I sit down to nurse or pump.

TumblerI drink a lot of water in my everyday life, and have focused on consuming even more now that I am pregnant. Especially because I did not kick my coffee habit with this pregnancy, I need to make sure I’m balancing it with plenty of ice cold water. My new Genius Series Mary Pickersgill Tumbler has helped me do just that! It isn’t fun to be massively pregnant during the summer months, so this tumbler has been worth its weight in gold because of our awful Midwest heat.

The Mary Pickersgill Tumbler is a 26-ounce, double-wall-insulated cup that keeps water cold for up to six hours. I fill it up about five times per day with ice water and go on my way! It’s slender enough to fit in my car’s cup-holder, it’s leak-proof and shatter-proof, and it doesn’t create condensation. I carry it with me everywhere I go! It is made in the USA, BPA-free, and dishwasher-safe. (On that subject, I literally do not even know why non-dishwasher-safe cups even exist. I have ruined so many insulated cups because of that. It’s such a hassle to hand-wash!)

The Mary Pickersgill Tumbler is on sale now, along with a Genius Series lineup of other cute and colorful Mary Pickersgill diapers and accessories. Designed to resemble the American flag, Mary is bright, bold, and beautiful. It is a fun, patriotic print that is perfect for the summer months. Pick one up today!
