May Day Giveaway!
May 3, 2011 3:19 am | by

Happy (belated) May Day! I’m not sure about you, but May is a busy month for our family. We have lots of events, travel and days away from home planned. May brings Mother’s Day, weddings, graduations, birthdays, end of school events and more!

For today’s blog giveaway, we’re giving Mom (or Dad) the gift of convenience. If you haven’t already seen it online, the newest addition to our Flip product lineup is the Flip Travel Pack. This pack includes two Flip covers and 18 Flip disposable inserts. At Cotton Babies, we know that life gets busy, sometimes you are away from home and sometimes a disposable option can alleviate a bit of stress. Most of us keep at least one package of Flip disposable inserts at home, just in case.

Whether you’ll be traveling in May or all you really want for Mother’s Day is a day off laundry duty, we have the prize for you! Today’s winners will each receive a Flip Travel Pack and a Cotton Babies Cold Cup.

To enter today’s blog giveaway for your chance to win one of our prize packs, leave a comment on this blog post sharing what May event you are looking forward to most. Would a Flip Travel Pack or Cotton Babies Cold Cup make that day even better? Tell us.

Eligible entries must be posted today, Tuesday, May 3, 2011. U.S. Residents only. Void where prohibited by law. No purchase necessary to win. Winners will be drawn at random on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 and notified via e-mail. (Please make sure Cotton Babies staff can see your e-mail in your comment or through your Blogger profile page, please.)

I am looking forward to being back together as a family as a new job has separated my son and I from his father/my husband. He is staying with relatives and the Flip travel system would make it so much easier to transport his cloth diapers as we reunite with daddy in someone elses home with someone elses laundry machines! I am looking forward to my first Mother’s Day with my 4 month old baby girl! I look forward to spending that special day with some of my special people, including my own mother. Aside from that, we don’t have any big plans for the month other than a few family graduations. We are pretty new to cloth (one month) and a Flip Travel Pack would be so awesome!

I’m looking forward to my daughter’s 2nd birthday, and my mother-in-law traveling cross-country to help out. My husband and I both work, and our jobs have been crazy! Mom-in-law is staying with us for 2 full weeks to spend time with her grandchild and help in any way she can! Flips would help so much…. They’re so easy to use and would make transitioning mom to cloth a little bit easier!

I have 2 days I am looking fowards to the most 🙂 I cannot pick just one. The 1st day is tomorrow my husband will finally get home after being gone for the last month to an inpatient PTSD treatment at Haven Behavioral Health War Heroes Hospital. I’m hoping it made a difference this is the second time he has been there this year.

The second day is this Friday at 5:45 I will finally be getting my hair done. It has been almost an entire year since I allowed myself to be spoiled. I have overwhelming mommy guilt and always think oh instead of a stupid haircut I could buy the kids …. Making the switch to cloth I am saving the big bucks lol so I am going to wash my diapers and spoil myself for once. 🙂

Well, this being my first Mother’s Day will be a bitter-sweet day, I lost my Grandmother on New Year’s Eve, and her memorial Service will be up north next week-end. One good thing, we not only will get to celebrate the life she lived so fully, we get to celebrate the birth of my daughter, who is named after her (she will be 5 weeks old). Most of my family lives out of town and so this will be their first time meeting her.

We are preparing for our second baby in June. I look forward to enjoying our special moments with our son (19 months) before baby#2 arrives. Then enjoying our family moments as a family of four. We started CD at nine months with our son and dont have a true system for baby #2. We just got each child matching flips in the seconds. Would love to add more flips to the slash.

We’re also visiting St. Louis for 10 days in a few weeks, and I’d love to have Flip diapers for my baby girl to use then! jenringenberg@gmail.com

I am most excited to celebrate my first Mothers Day with our 5 month old son! After miscarrying almost 3 years ago and having a more difficult time than expected trying to conceive again, this Mother’s Day is a sweet gift from God. Not to mention, it took 51 hours, 4 midwives and much prayer for him to arrive- but arrive he did – with no complications, wide-eyed, a strong heart and excited about life. That is worth celebrating! The event that would make the Travel Pack helpful is an upcoming “site visit” to California. We are going to determine if our next move is to live/work/serve in an inner city community there.

A Flip Travel Pack would be a very welcome addition to our upcoming travels. The month of May is full of exciting times for our family and friends. Graduation of my little brother from Law School, graduation of a great friend from graduate school, my very first Mother’s Day following the birth of our beautiful 6 month old baby boy, and reuniting with best friends that we haven’t seen in a very long time…and hopefully lots and lots of beautiful sunshine!

The day after we see them graduate we will be on the road again drive another 2 hours to go see more family! Then home again! So, I flip travel pack would be nice! I’m the only one in the family that cloth diapers & I love showing off what cloth diapers look like in 2011…most of the family still think all there is available is the old style birdseye flats & pull on plastic pants & they can’t understand why anyone would want to do that with the convenience of disposable. 🙂 I’m also the only one in the extended family making big strides towards being more green & environmentally friendly..the cold cups are an awesome visible proof of what you can do towards that goal! mkcamos@netins.net — Kyla

I am looking forward to a sweet Mother’s Day! After trying to get pregnant since 2006 and 3 miscarriages later, we finally have our Blessed boy! It was a close call in the beginning with our son being admitted into PICU because of not breathing, he was intubated(took 3 tries..I will never forget watching in terror,he was given a spinal tap, put on tons of meds. to rule out what was wrong and was put under so many test. It was like reliving my second daughters premature birth. He is doing great now and still has to be seen by the hematologist for low platelets but we are hopeful he will get through this battle too! So I look forward to celebrating another mother’s day with our new special bundle! We have 2 flips and would love more. Thanks for the opportunity to win. Blessings. parrishtp@yahoo.com

I’m looking forward to Strawberry picking, a tradition we started last mother’s day. I’ve been looking forward to it for a whole year 🙂

However, a Flip travel pack would be just the thing for our family vacation in June. We’re going to be staying in a cabin on a lake with no washing machine and no laundromat for miles.

Two uncles and an aunt are meeting their 3 month old niece this month… all coming from far away. We’re also traveling to grandma and grandpa’s house to stay for Memorial Day weekend! My husband and I are going to leave our baby girl with Grandma while we go to a wedding… it will be our first date night! We just started cloth diapering and have bumgenius aio’s. I’d love to try Flips with disposable inserts to see how we like them!

That’s the best part of it- having special people with me to enjoy the day! Of course a Flip pack or reusable cup would be a lovely present! 🙂 And I’ve got the loves of my life to make it wonderful! 🙂 –Kristen F. (designbykeea(at)gmail(dot)com)

May actually is a very busy month for my husband’s family. We have 4 birthdays in the month in addition to Mother’s Day. That means family gatherings galore. Of course, I look forward to Mother’s Day the most. I’ve never appreciated my Mom and Grandma or my Mother-In-Law more since I’ve been a Mom myself (almost 4 years now). I’m not at all shy about taking my cloth diapers for my youngest where ever it is we go, but I have to say with all the upcoming family gatherings the flip inserts would be mighty handy! Plus Father’s Day and our third child due in June makes the thought of some Flips with disposable inserts all the more inviting!

My husband’s birthday is the next day, then I fly to visit my family for my baby sister’s high school graduation! Lots of celebrating this month! Flip diaper covers ( disposable inserts would help with all the fun, because we could still “cloth” yet not have to wash the diapers!

A flip travel pack would be amazing because I will have a lot of mommy friends there who do not cloth diaper and I can share the ease and fun of it with them! This month, on the 16th, marks the 3 year anniversary since my sweet Sofie’s first cleft related surgery. I was very much not prepared for how weak in the knees I was the first time I saw her in recovery. It was so conflicting. I realized all at one moment how beautiful she was through all the bandages and swelling, how she would need to go through more surgery in the future to make her look “normal”, how much I absolutely miss her gorgeous “imperfect” smile, and how blessed our family is that God entrusted her to us. It was like she was newborn all over again. This month we prepare for more surgery, hers as well as mine, and pray that we continue to appreciate our family members as they are now, not just what they will become or how they are sometimes (i.e., well behaved:)

Happy belated May Day! May is one of my favorite months with Mother’s day and my birthday a week behind (only the kids birthdays have supplanted my favorite month). Beautiful weather, sun and all the flowers 🙂 I’d love to have an insulated cup (with safe! plastic) to take through security every morning at work- no holdup like my metal one now! And a way for me to bring up cloth diapering with strangers (great CB advertising). And as a convert to cloth, I think it would really help me with outings (this weekend, my hometown festival with my mom and church mother daughter banquet with 3 generations) to have a Flip option that’s not so wasteful 🙂

My mom doesn’t mind changing the diapers with this combo (not that she would really complain if I sent them in full on cloth but I know this lightens the load for her a little). We only have 2 flip covers and only 5 sposie inserts left so we are in need of some more to fill that empty slot. I am looking forward to being outside and getting the garden ready for planting. My son would stay outside all the time if I let him so he will be happier with warm weather! I would love to try the flip diaper system as I have never tried them before.

I’m looking forward to the birth of my first baby! He or she is due in just a couple of weeks…my DH and I are so excited! The Flips package would be a great help as we plan to make several road trips later on this summer to visit friends and family with our new addition.

I’m looking forward to all the times we will be playing outside on my daughter’s new playset! I’m the only one in the house without a ‘cup with a lid’, so the cold cup would come in handy– no more fishing flower petals out of my water! The flip covers would come in handy, too, for the new baby on the way!

My daughter’s first birthday is the 23rd 😀 We use Flips on her and absolutely love them!! The day pack with disposables would be great as we’re hoping to spend her birthday out and about (a zoo trip maybe?), and I’ve always wanted one of those cold cups! 🙂 Happy May!

I am looking forward to our 3 year wedding anniversary! We’ve been cloth diapering our only child his whole life (he’s only 4 months 😉 ) and we love it but when we go on weekend trips we’d love to use flip disposable inserts. I love flip covers and have always wanted to give the inserts a shot! (We do not live in US but have a US shipping address- hopefully this counts.)

I am looking forward to my sister coming to visit to meet our newest baby girl!! Either item would make my day, we’re relocating for 10 weeks this summer for hubby’s job so with two in diapers, more Flips would be fantastic!
