Real Mom Talk: Why You Are a Good Mom
May 10, 2015 5:42 pm | by

thumbnailEvery mom is a good mom.

You wake up early every morning to feed your kids breakfast — whether it’s cereal, eggs, or a quick granola bar. You’re up, working hard, to get your kids ready for the day… even if you had a rough night with a sleepless child and could use a few extra ZZzzZs.

Every mom is a good mom.

You may need a shower from constantly being on the go, but instead, you pull your hair back, throw on a pair of sweatpants, and sport that “tired mom” look with a smile.

Every mom is a good mom.

Even when it appears you have everything figured out, you’re scrambling on the inside wondering if you’re doing it all just right. I have a secret to share: all moms do this. It’s not just you; it’s in our disposition. We worry about how much our kids eat, if they’re getting enough sleep, and if we’re making the right choices to mold great human beings.

It’s Mom’s Week, and we need you to take a few minutes to acknowledge what a great job you’re doing. Do it not just today, but every. single. day.

Remember, you don’t have to have know all the answers. Or even pretend like you do. Your kids won’t look back on those burnt pancakes, the time you forgot to send in a paper at school, or a diaper rash. Instead, they’ll cherish the laughs you shared, the time you spent snuggling, and the real memories you made together.

You’re a good mom and you should feel and believe it! There’s no better time to uplift yourself and remind yourself that you got this. You rock at this whole mama thing. You are doing the best thing for your family – and that’s what makes you a good mom. <3
