Cotton Babies goes beyond babywearing, breastfeeding and cloth diapering… We can aid you in most areas during the first few years of your parenting journey. One such area many parents find themselves in need of help is sleep. From soothing music to cozy blankets, we carry a variety of must-have bedtime products, but one of our newest favorites is the Skip Hop Hug Me Projection Soother. Mod Sleeper by MOD’Swad

Fact: Babies like to be swaddled. It’s soothing, comforting and provides a sense of security like a mother’s womb. There are a few different ways to swaddle your baby and one of the most common is with a blanket. But, aside from blankets, there are other swaddling methods, too. Similar to a Woombie, the Mod Sleeper is the ultimate in children’s loungewear! These one-piece sleepers are soft, breathable, and perfect for tangle-free swaddling. The Mod Sleeper softly confines arms and legs, gently compressing your baby’s body, but allows your little one to stretch extremities as needed. Unlike a swaddle blanket,

How to cloth diaper at night

Cloth Diaper Creams

Cloth diapering your little one from an early age often makes it easy to cloth diaper at night. Many infants don’t sleep through the night early on, so it’s easy to just change your little one’s diaper before a  mid-night feeding. If you’ve been following our blog for any real amount of time, you already know how much I enjoy aden + anais products. I own a set of Bamboo Muslin Wraps that are exclusively mine that I wear as scarves and use when traveling. A big jar of mum + bub Soothing Ointment sits on my bedside table. The B-Jeweled Muslin Wraps are the only thing that makes me smile when found scattered on my floor by the children. So take the following review with a grain (or whole shaker full) of salt. For a long time I’ve joked around

Spring Forward
March 6, 2013 4:00 pm | by

Daylight Savings Time begins this weekend. So at 2 a.m. Sunday morning, we all get to “spring forward” an hour! If you’re a sleep deprived parent like me, you might not be too thrilled about losing another hour of sleep. I used to love daylight savings time before I had children. Sure, I’d lose an hour on a single day, but I enjoyed having more sunshine after work each day. I also loved that daylight savings time was one of the first signs of spring. When I had children, that changed. I quickly learned that children have a difficult time

Lullabies

Just like Claire, we sing a lot throughout the day. I make up little songs for finishing meals, sing the ABCs when brushing Vicki’s teeth, and nothing beats a good rendition of “The Wheels on the Bus” to calm down a cranky toddler in the car. But my favorite time to sing is bedtime. When I was a little girl, my mom used to sing us lullabies every night. The same songs, in the same order, all snuggled together on one of our beds. It was our signal that it was time to sleep. It was our reminder that we
