Prepping Cloth Diapers

Cloth diapers are an easy way to save money when you’re caring for a baby. Unlike disposables, cloth diapers are a one-time expense (unless you have to get the newest Genius Series print at each release). For some people, the upfront cost of cloth diapers can be a deterrent, although there are ways to build your stash without breaking the bank. To cloth diaper your baby full-time and wash every other day, we recommend having at least 24 diapers on hand.  Twenty-four bumGenius Freetime diapers are $399.  A 24-pack of bumGenius 4.0s is $384 while two dozen Elementals are $520.08. Cloth Diapers: A Dad’s Perspective
January 24, 2014 4:55 pm | by

EDITOR’S NOTE: This story is a guest post, written by Zachary Leibel, a cloth supporter,  teacher of reusable diapers, and dad to two boys. When my wife and I found out we were pregnant with our first child, we were naturally very excited, but also knew we’d have to make some decisions.  One of the decisions we made was that we were determined to go from a two person income down to just my income so that my wife could stay at home with the baby.  Some people thought we were crazy for even considering this in today’s world and said things

Cloth Diaper Creams

Just the other day I was thinking back on my cloth diapering journey of almost 4 years continuously and simultaneously diapering two babies. Just like it’s easier to start a diet on a Monday. Or maybe that‘s just me. I think less in terms of “I’ll eat six vegetables every day” (which is a worthy aspiration)
