Your Summer Guide to Cloth Diapering in the Water
May 15, 2017 8:00 am | by

There’s nothing better than a long summer day in the water with your little ones. Not only do they have a great time splashing and playing while they’re there, they come home exhausted and ready to take a long nap—which means mama gets a little time for herself! Preparing to take your little ones to the water, however, does require some forethought. As a cloth diapering mama, you don’t really want to purchase disposable diapers just for use in the water. Are you prepared for everything your little one needs for summer? Check the Guidelines of the Pool If you’re

Stay Clean & Classy with Logan + Lenora!
February 22, 2017 3:17 pm | by

If you’re like me, you’re a mama who feels like you’re constantly on the go. Whether it’s a run to the grocery store or a trip to Grandma’s, I’m constantly packing my daughter’s diaper bag for a day out and about. So for me, organization and style are key. Keeping things organized helps to ensure we have “all the things” at hand when the time comes. Style, on the other hand, is just for me. The truth is, since I’ve become a mama, I can’t always say I look or feel my best. On those days, it helps to at least

Prepping Cloth Diapers

A well-stocked diaper bag can make a huge difference when you’re away from home. But, if you’re like me, your bag often becomes a black hole for receipts, loose change, food wrappers, and other junk you probably don’t need in there. This eliminates precicous space for the necessities.. you know, stuff you actually should have like diapers, wipes, bottles, etc. How do you determine what you really need in your bag? I mean, choosing the items that have a permanent place in your bag is a really tough decision. Trust me. You never know when you’re going to need those expired fast

My Modular Diaper Bag
July 2, 2012 7:55 pm | by

Our last post featured the contents of Jill’s diaper bag, so I thought I’d show you mine, too! My favorite diaper bag was always the Petunia Picklebottom touring tote, but when we added a second child in cloth diapers to our family, it was suddenly too small! Instead of upgrading to the Sashay Satchel (which would have been my first choice but wasn’t in the budget at the time), I decided to go to Etsy and find an artisan that could make me a bag from cloth. Mine was custom-made, but here’s the design it is based on from The

That’s How I Roll… With My Diaper Bag
June 30, 2012 12:35 pm | by

After toting diaper bags for over 4 years, I think I finally have the contents paired down to the right amount of helpful stuff without over-stuffing it with half the medicine cabinet and 2/3 of the nursery. Come on, admit it. As a new mom you walk around with so much stuff for your baby, you should be dragging a rolling luggage bag behind you, right? Granted, we are beyond the newborn stage, and I have one who’s potty trained, so I don’t need to carry quite as much stuff as is needed with tiny babies. So here’s a little

Warehouse Roulette – Lemmings
May 24, 2012 5:30 am | by

I’ve been bugged by Jenn and others to write posts on the blog for a long time, but I didn’t want to have to figure out what to write about while staying somewhat on topic. So the obvious solution was to write about random things in the warehouse. Warehouse Roulette! To make it fun and very random, I put all of the warehouse locations in a box, mixed it up and drew a location.     No fun pranks in the warehouse this week, but we did have the uber popular dollar diaper sale last Saturday at the retail stores!

Why Cloth Wipes?

Cloth Diaper Creams

A better question would be, why not? You’re already using cloth diapers, for a wide variety of reasons – environmental, cost savings, convenience, and keeping chemicals away from your baby’s sweet tush. Cloth wipes take it one step further. One of the biggest reasons moms choose cloth diapers is to save money. Let’s face it, babies are expensive! Wipes are a small expense compared to some of the bigger items babies need, but every little bit counts. So how much would using cloth wipes save you? The average price of a baby wipe is $0.03/wipe*. Assuming a total of 5,340

How to store your dirty diapers
June 27, 2011 9:02 am | by

Once you decide you are ready to start cloth diapering, another major decision is how to store your dirty diapers once they are dirty until laundry day. There are two main types of dirty cloth diaper storage a wet bag or a pail. Types of dirty diaper storage Diaper pails designed for cloth diapering are a little different than those designed for disposable diapers. Most disposable diaper pails are designed to keep air (and smells) out. When thinking about storing dirty cloth diapers, one of the key things is to make sure you have air flow. This air flow helps
