You may also hear them called “factory seconds” in other industries. So, when a bumGenius, Flip or Econobum diaper is referred to as a “Second,” that means it didn’t quite meet our quality control standards. Often, diapers are considered Seconds because of uneven seams, dirt marks, or other small issues that do not affect how the diaper works. In fact, Seconds work just as well as first-quality diapers, and many families stock up on these products when they’re available.
