More about Flip disposable inserts…
October 24, 2009 2:01 pm | by

We’ve had a lot of requests for more information about the ingredients of Flip disposable inserts. We’d requested some very specific information from the factory and late last week, finally received everything you were asking for. As most parents know, many companies that manufacture disposable products do not disclose the exact composition of those products. We know that you care about what goes on your baby’s bottom though (so do we)! Flip One-Size Disposable Inserts are easy to use, dye-free and fragrance-free. Perfect for travel, daycare and those moments when practical life demands something disposable. Each package contains 18 inserts,

The Flip One-Size Cloth Diaper System
October 21, 2009 7:15 pm | by

Elsie wasn’t feeling very well today, but she had a few minutes where she was a little more chipper so we went outside and snapped a few photos of her wearing her Flip One-Size Cloth Diapers. In the photo above, she is still wearing her overnight diaper. It was stuffed with a Flip: Stay Dry Insert and a Flip: Disposable Insert. Elsie is learning to crawl… she was kind enough to start exploring a crack in the concrete so I could take this shot of her little bottom showing off the design of Flip’s leg casings. We worked with several

Awesome 1 Year Video
September 29, 2009 3:31 pm | by

Ok…so I know I’m a little late posting this…that whole “launching Flip & Econobum” thing has been taking up quite a bit of time around here. But better late than never…right? This video is just so awesome. Amber Smirnow took a picture of her little guy, Alexander, every single day the first year of his life. If that isn’t dedication, I don’t know what is!!! Then she set it to a really great song (that totally gets stuck in your head and has me bopping along at my desk) and here it is...so if you haven’t seen it yet, you

Are we a big company?
September 25, 2009 11:50 am | by

I read an awesome blog post last night from a Cotton Babies customer. Autumn Beck runs “All About Cloth Diapers“. Here is a quote from what she wrote here:   Okay, I’ve always been honest with y’all so I won’t hold back. When I first started cloth diapering I strongly disliked all things made by Cotton Babies. I know, terrible, isn’t it?! You want to know what’s worse? I had never even tried one of their products. I completely made some crazy assumption that it was “big business” with no family behind it. Um…I couldn’t have been more wrong. Cotton

Are Flip disposable inserts biodegradable?
September 24, 2009 11:05 am | by

How many of you are wondering if the disposable inserts that are coming with Flip are biodegradable? Plenty it seems, because our customer service email box is overflowing with this particular question.   You may find it interesting to know that Kmart got in trouble with the FTC this summer because they were advertising paper plates as biodegradable. The FTC says that the actual anticipated disposal of a product labeled “biodegradable” must be in a form that encourages biodegradation. Did you know that 91% of consumer waste ends up in landfills? Landfills are essentially time capsules for waste. No matter

After rumors and speculation have flooded Facebook, Twitter, the Blogosphere and message boards for weeks, we are so excited to share with you what we have been up to at Cotton Babies… Cotton Babies, the makers of the top-rated cloth diapering system, bumGenius, have developed two brand new cloth diapering systems that will make it easier than ever to cloth diaper your baby. The Wrestling Match
August 23, 2008 10:17 am | by

About the time baby learns how to flip from back to front, the trouble begins. Babies like to practice their skill and when do you want them on their backs more than during a diaper change? Overnight diaper changes go from being a pleasant time to talk and play to an all-out battle with a wet cat or a fish out of water. When they learn how to crawl it gets even worse. Now, not only can they turn over, but they have the potential to actually escape as well. Fun times! This is about the time my diaper changes
