How to Celebrate Halloween During a Pandemic

As 2020 goes on, we keep coming up with new ways to live our lives. Here are some tips on how to keep Halloween fun and as safe as possible. Halloween Do’s Masks and social distancing are going to be a requirement. Try to make masks fun for Halloween by incorporating them into the costume. We have disposable child-sized disposable masks in stock now. Plus, we have KN-95 masks for adults. Our masks ship from St. Louis, MO. If you have your heart set on handing out candy, do it from a safe distance. I’ve seen some creative ways to

Looking for Halloween fun for the whole family? Check out how we're making it a great day.

Halloween is a frightfully fun time of year! From costumes to festive parties, and hayrides to sweet treats, there are so many ways to have fun this season. Perhaps you aren’t much of a Halloween person. That’s ok! As an adult, I don’t love dressing up, but I do love experiencing the holiday through the eyes of my children. I love watching them experience decorations (as long as they’re not too spooky!), and seeing the creativity my 3-year-old expresses. Learn more about how some parents have learned to embrace Halloween since becoming parents. Halloween Costumes Do you love getting dressed

Halloween usually translates into sugar overload. My daughter’s school has an annual Trunk or Treat. Rather than hand out more candy, I opt to give out pretzels. They’re still not healthy, but they’re slightly better off in my mind. Here’s a list of non-candy Halloween treats. My daughter has received most of these, and we were all pretty happy with them! The List Bubbles – Always a hit Stickers – Find some fun Halloween stickers Pencils – Great for older kids, too Crayons or Markers – We could always use more Fruit snacks/fruit leather/raisins – Healthier option, but still sweet Animal

Mom and Baby Halloween Costumes

For me, Halloween is so much more fun now that I have babies. I don’t really enjoy costumes for myself, but I love costumes on adorable kids. For my daughter’s first Halloween, she was only 9 months old, so the costume was entirely for me. She couldn’t care less. She was an adorable ladybug, but it wasn’t a very practical costume considering we spent the evening driving to visit her grandparents and friends, so we had to take it off every time we put her in her car seat. Tip I read somewhere on the Interwebs about an amazing trick:

Real Mom Talk: DIY Halloween Costume

I love Halloween! Actually, I just love dressing up and being someone else for a day. Long before I had my daughter, I had a collection of future baby Halloween costume ideas. However, the DIY daddy costume wasn’t on that list, but this is something I’d strongly consider if you’re looking for something quick and easy! My baby would look EXACTLY like my husband, so of course, I had to take advantage of the opportunity because I don’t know how long this strong resemblance will last. I decided to take the most recognizable features of Lola’s dad and create a look that everyone would

The spooky season is upon us! And one way to make Halloween extra fun is to create costumes with your kids! I’ve made most of my kids’ costumes over the past 6 years. One thing that has kept the tradition going is that my kids have so much fun with it. They love coming up with their own ideas for costumes. We also try to stay away from the scary stuff, which leaves a lot of room for creativity and their own personal interests. My oldest son has been a scarecrow, a cowboy, the Alphabet Tree from Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom, the letter

Real Mom Talk: How Parenting Turned Halloween Around For Me

I never liked Halloween. Don’t get me wrong, when I was a kid I loved the candy part of the holiday. I liked the candy part even before I was old enough to go trick-or-treating myself: when I was 22 months old my mom walked into the kitchen to find that I had used my toddler MacGuyver skills to rig up some steps and climbed on top of the refrigerator to snack on the Halloween candy that my older brother had collected a few nights earlier. Yum! But the actual holiday itself never appealed to me. I would guess that
