My Journey to Discovering MilkDaze Nursing Pads
May 26, 2022 9:00 am | by
milkdaze nursing pads

When I had my first baby, I was definitely learning everything as I went. Breast pads weren’t even on my radar before my first son was born. He surprised us by coming two weeks early and although I had everything I needed for labor and the baby, I was missing things I needed for myself. Thankfully my sweet sister offered to run out for anything I overlooked – one of which was a pack of disposable nursing pads. My First Baby: Disposable Nursing Pads My milk came in pretty quickly, so I was grateful to have them on hand. I quickly discovered

What are the differences between the Elemental 1, 2 & 3?
June 21, 2017 8:00 am | by

Last fall, Cotton Babies launched their new and improved Elemental All-In-One cloth diaper. As the third version of the Elemental created, it has the best of both designs from the previous two versions. All three of these diapers are one-size, fitting babies 8-35 lbs, and feature organic cotton inserts, so no stuffing needed. While these features did not change between the three versions, there are a few features that did. Here’s are the major differences between the three versions to help you compare, contrast and find the best diaper for your family.  Original Elemental (OBGE) The Original Elemental was first created in 2009

5 Things to Love about Econobum
June 7, 2017 8:00 am | by

I’ve been using cloth diapers for nearly two years. In the beginning, I had mostly Flip, a few bumGenius 4.0’s, a couple Freetimes, and one Elemental. Over the years, I’ve collected a few more of each, and picked up some Econobum when they were on sale. Flips have become my go-to diapers, so it seemed like Econobum would be a pretty easy transition… And I was right! Econobum diapers are great. Why I love Econobum 1. Change absorbency. Econobum offers a great set of prefolds, but it’s easy to switch out inserts to get the perfect level of absorbency. That goes both ways

Flip Cover & Stay-Dry Inserts Review
February 3, 2017 8:00 am | by

I love to try different types of diapers… I love changing it up a bit depending on if we’re at home, at another person’s home, running errands, etc. Sometimes I prefer bumGenius Freetimes, and sometimes I prefer the Flip Cover + Inserts!  Flip is Cotton Babies’ hybrid diaper system. You can buy inserts for day time or night time, stay-dry or organic cotton, and newborn or one-size. The price point is perfect for anyone on a budget! Flips come in the variety of our favorite Cotton Babies colors and prints, so there’s plenty of options if you want to create that perfect rainbow.

New! bumGenius Elemental Review
November 18, 2016 12:00 pm | by

I’m going to make a little confession… When I first discovered bumGenius cloth diapers, I tried out every one of their diaper styles. This is how I fell in love with bumgenius Freetimes… However, I just could not find the love for the bumGenuis Elemental. At that point, the second version of the Elemental (with the exposed PUL) had launched and the original versions were a thing of the past. As much as I wanted to, I just could not get the hang of it, so I sold it to a friend and loaded my stash up with Freetimes and 4.0 pocket diapers. But then….

bumGenius Freetime Review
November 8, 2016 12:00 pm | by

Are you looking for a reliable, all-in-one cloth diaper that meets your needs but without the high-priced tag? The bumGenius Freetime is calling your name! When I started cloth diapering over three years ago, I started out with cheap pockets that just didn’t work for me. I knew I needed another option that was much more affordable and reliable. I was soon introduced to the bumGenius Freetime cloth diaper and I was immediately hooked… So much so, that I converted my entire stash! Why are these all-in-one cloth diapers so great? Great Fit The bumGenius Freetime is a one-size, all-in-one cloth diaper that fits babies from 8-35 lbs.

Skip Hop Lunch Review
August 19, 2016 9:00 am | by

It’s that time of year again! Parents of school-aged children will be packing lunches and sending their littles off to school. This is my first year sending off a child for the whole day so it’s also my first year packing a lunch for my oldest daughter. She’s excited. I’m a nervous wreck, but with a smiling face to not show my worry. To make my life a little bit easier, and her day a little brighter, we picked out some super cute lunch containers! We’re a huge fan of Skip Hop in our house so it was a

Natural Nipple Butter Review
March 31, 2016 7:49 pm | by

Before I was even pregnant with my son, I started switching up some of the products we used in our home. One of the biggest changes was with personal hygiene products. When I started doing my research, I found Earth Mama Angel Baby was exactly what I was looking for! All products are certified organic, GMO-free and 100% natural. I first tried the soap. Then, I started using the tea. I later fell in love with the Happy Mama Spray, grabbed some of Baby Bottom Balm and Mama Bottom Spray. Then lastly, I decided to try the Nipple Butter. When

bumGenius Outing Wet Bag Review
March 10, 2016 7:47 pm | by

The bumGenius Outing Wet Bag is so handy! I’ve been cloth diapering on-and-off for six years, and was long overdue in getting one. I have the Alicia print, which is so colorful and perfect for spring! It is a kaleidoscopic pattern with some of the most popular solids, including Butternut, Twilight, Dazzle, Moonbeam, and Countess. It is made with a super-flexible waterproof material, zipper closure, and a snapped handle. This wet bag is perfect for on-the-go diaper storage. (Hence the name!) It holds 3-5 diapers and easily fits in a diaper bag or oversized purse. I used to carry my

Product Review: bumGenius Wool Dryer Balls
December 17, 2015 9:12 pm | by

With the new year quickly approaching, I’ve been trying to set some goals and make changes for 2016. One of the biggest changes we will make as a family is to live simple. And by simple, I mean to cut back on the expensive, unnecessary (and unhealthy) things in life. One place I’m going to start is with our laundry. It may seem silly to say that improving my laundry is one of my goals for the new year, but why buy the chemical filled stuff at the store when you can use products that are less expensive and better
