Share the Love will now ship free cloth diapers directly to families in need! “When my first baby was born, we were choosing between groceries and disposable diapers. A friend gave me cloth diapers. Her gift enabled us to buy food for our family while easing the burden of diapering our baby. Not too long later, I started a business and, for nearly 18 years, we’ve been working to make cloth diapers readily available to every family everywhere,” said Jennifer Labit, Cotton Babies founder and CEO. What is Share the Love? We started Share the Love in 2012 with the

The cloth diaper community is unique. Oftentimes, cloth diaper mamas are passionate about cloth diapers and are interested in teaching others about their many benefits. And when they are finished diapering their own babies, they want to help others. We are thankful to be a part of this community. It was the generosity of one mom whose gift kicked off what would evolve into Cotton Babies. One friend saw that her friend, Jenn, was struggling. She offered her a stash of cloth diapers to get her started. That simple act of giving ignited a spark that grew into selling baby

But, there’s another option you might not have considered. Your diapers can keep on doing their job and help families in need when you donate them to a cloth diaper bank like Share the Love. How We Work to Solve Diaper Need: Share the Love Cloth Diaper Bank

Share the Love, our cloth diaper bank, works to solve diaper need.

Diaper Need Diaper need is a huge, silent epidemic in the United States. According to a study*, as many as 1 in 3 families struggle to buy enough diapers. These families are forced to choose between buying diapers and essentials like food, utilities and childcare. No government assistance exists for diapers. WIC and SNAP do not help supply families with diapers. That means that parents in need resort to rationing diaper by leaving the same diaper on a baby longer than it is meant to be worn. Disposable diapers are dried out and put back on a baby. These practices put

Diaper need is a silent epidemic in the United States. According to a

Thursday Giveaway: Diaper Need Awareness

This week is Diaper Need Awareness Week. To help more people learn more about this silent epidemic, Cotton Babies Share the Love is working to spread the word about diaper need and its devastating effects.   According to a recent study by Huggies, one in three families are forced to choose between everyday essentials and diapers. Many families cannot afford to purchase clean diapers and often resort to reusing disposables, which can lead to a number of heartbreaking issues like a rash, infection or emotional distress. Since there are few federal programs that provide assistance with diapers, we want to ensure that more

Editor’s Note: This content was kindly (and voluntarily) shared with us by a Share the Love recipient. When I applied for a cloth diaper loan through Share the Love, I was 43 years old and 30 weeks pregnant with my fourth child, who had just been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. I am a housewife/stay-at-home mother who also cares for my husband’s 86-year-old grandmother that lives with us. My husband had been unemployed for four months, having worked part-time before then, and just received a 4-month trucking job. Needless to say, we have truly been struggling financially since fall 2013, but by scaling

Thursday Giveaway: Give a Gift

‘Tis the season for giving. The holidays are a time for joy, celebration and compassion. For many families, it’s a chance to shower your loved ones with all their favorite goodies, but for those who are less fortunate, the holidays can be extremely stressful — and unaffordable.   Today, many families struggle to pay for diapers and other basic necessities like food and utilities. Share the Love was created to help these families — all year round. It’s a locally-sustainable, nationally-accessible cloth diaper bank that provides families with cloth diapers. This program enables low income families with reusable diapers, which
