We originally chose to cloth diaper because of the money saving aspect…that is what sold my husband to begin with. Now I love giving the cloth sales pitch and it comes from genuinely LOVING cloth. People will ask about it when they see my dry bag when i am changing my little one, and after they see the ease of it are pretty impressed. my sister-in-law even switched to cloth! The flip brand is my favorite, they are so easy to use, and don’t retain the smell like some of the pocket diapers do. Cloth diapering has been transformed since my generation of being diapered, and that is what normally gets people. I mean with that handy dandy sprayer you don’t even have to touch the poo or even get close to it!!

We chose cloth diapers because we wanted our little man to have something good next to his skin. Plus, the cost savings (now and for possible future babies) and less waste in the landfills. We love our cloths!

First, cloth diapers are so much cuter than disposables! No chemicals or plastic near baby’s bottom, and far less garbage.
My baby girl is due December 7, 2013 and I knew I wanted to cloth diaper from the very beginning. This LO will be my first, but my husband and I want a large family. I started researching cloth diapers further once I realized how much we will save by using cloth, especially when factoring in the cost of future children. I can’t wait for my baby girl to get here and start our cloth journey! 🙂

I think people should cloth diaper to get the chemicals off of their baby’s bum. I also believe that it is what is best for the earth as well, throwing all those disposables in the landfills is not a good thing. Our landfills are full enough already. Not to mention, the diapers are just plain cute!!
I had two of my kids with disposables with the third one i decided to try cloth diapers, and at the beginning it was hard to adjust. I tried different kinds and some i liked some i didn’t. The biggest difference in cloth diapers i noticed, i NEVER had a rash with my daughter i purchased diaper cream i never used. It saves money down the road on cloth diapers and talking about environmental friendly option.
My baby was allergic to every kind of diaper we tried until we decided to dump the disposables and go with bumgenius. Everyone said it would be a difficult transition since she is our 5th baby and we had only used disposables before, so we went with the super easy freetimes and have never looked back! And I must say not having to worry about running out to buy diapers is a nice added bonus!

My baby isn’t due until March of 2014, but I have already decided that I will be using cloth diapers! The cost differential is staggering, especially because we live in a city that charges less for trash service if you use a smaller trash can. If we used disposables, I think we’d have to use the jumbo trash can!
I use cloth diapers because it’s economical, best for our environment, and the healthiest option for my little one’s bottoms. It’s also really convenient always having a stash of diapers available! And one more added perk — no more poop blowouts!
I read that plastic diapers have a higher internal temperature and that may correlate with higher rates of sterility in baby boys. That would be terribly sad – potentially not having grandbabies someday! I use cloth diapers for the same reasons as everyone else: cost cutting, producing less plastic waste, easier not to run out for diapers, cloth diapers are cute, they provide padding for babies learning to stand and walk, fewer blowouts! Plus my son loves them.
If you love your baby,then you should cloth diaper! I cant see how moms use those chemicalfull, plastic, disposables diapers. My mother tried to steer me away from cloth diapering. She used to tell how difficult it was when I was a baby. I dont own a washer or dryer machine. I wash the diapers by hand! and I love it and I am enjoying every bit! I only get to do this just one time in my life. Yes, at the end of the day Im soooo tired, taking care of my almost two y.o. an my five y.o., butI go and wash those cloth diapers. In my opinion, thats what a mommy who love her babies should do!.
If you’re planning on having more than one baby, if you’re of the Eco-consious mindset, if you like cute baby bums, if you dislike chemicals on your child…. cloth diaper. if not, well its up to you. I love it (although we have used sposies in a pinch. they do have their function at times.) I love my fluffy bum, soon to be bums!
We chose cloth in part because I and my two siblings were all cloth diapered and I really couldn’t imagine doing anything different. I also like that I’m not making more garbage for the landfill and am keeping only fabrics against my little one’s sensitive skin.

We didn’t use cloth with our first child but have since educated ourselves and learned a ton from family and friends who cloth. I have just started using cloth on our second and love how cute they are, how much it saves us and how easy they are… Plus they look comfy too! 😉

Cloth diapers not as hard as to use as everybody thinks. We have had very few diaper rashes and very few blow outs (they cover the bottom so much better). Plus they save money and are so much better for the environment.
Cloth diapers save a TON of money, they’re better for the environment, and they’re better for your baby! We haven’t had a single rash while using cloth with my daughter (which also saves money on rash creams and diaper liners!) The nay-sayers just don’t know what they’re missing. =)

I started cloth for environmental and economical reasons. I also love that plastic and chemicals aren’t next to my baby’s skin all day. Now 10 months later I also do it for fun, it is so much fun! I just convinced my cousin to use cloth and am so excited to start a bundle for her shower. This would be perfect!

There are sooo many reasons to cloth diaper. You end up saving a TON of money over using disposables! They are so much better for the environment. They are way better and safer for baby to wear rather than having all those chemicals so close to there precious bottoms. I have never had a rash on LO’s bottom and I thank cloth diapers for that!

It’s cute. gDiaper actually has an awesome video demonstrating the way a regular diaper versus how even a flushable liner desintegrates into the earth. Since I’ve cloth wiped and diapered we haven’t had a rash yet! So happy!
There are so many reasons we used cloth diapers. They are economical (compare to buying disposable), environmentally friendly (re-usable) , cute (so many colors and styles), natural (better for baby bum), bum protector (they will act as a cushion for when baby is learning to walk), clothes protector (no blowout covering baby’s clothes unlike disposable which we used once for a doctor visit). Overall, they are just awesome.
I tell people cloth diapers are easy to use now and eco friendly and very cute.
As a mom of twins, I had to figure out ways to save money. Cloth diapering was such a natural choice. No harsh chemicals and so easy to use. Plus they are so cute on little hineys. I encourage all of my friends to give it a try.
I knew if i wanted to be a stay at home mom i was going to have to cloth diaper and breastfeed. I ended up being unable to breatfeed so cloth diapering is even more important to me. We have never regreted it not one minute.
The cost savings is really what got me. If I have to do laundry anyways, it’s worth an extra load here and there for not having to run out and buy new disposables all the time!

To this point we’ve only been cloth diapering on the weekend. Next week we go full time! We chose to cloth diaper for the cost benefit. While the up front cost is high, it’ll save us in the long run. Not to mention they are super cute.

One of the most convincing reasons we decided to use cloth diapers other than the cost savings was that we didn’t want all that plastic and chemicals of disposable diapers to be on our baby, in our babies’ room, being breathed into her lungs, and being absorbed into her skin, especially on her bottom so close to her reproductive organs.
I am a cloth diaper newbie! I have ten pocket diapers and a wet bag on order and will be here next week! I just feel so guilty every time I empty the diaper genie and I think, ” these diapers will be on this earth long after I’m gone.”
I hate thinking of my baby’s poo being preserved for hundreds of years on a disposable diaper in a landfill. Plus cloth is cheaper and so much cuter! Easy to do once you start!
I love cloth diapers! They are really easy to use and I have already saved so much money! $$$$ is the biggest reason we chose cloth, keeping chemicals off our little guy was the second reason!
I LOVE my cloth diapers and I’m pretty sure I’ve heard all the excuses for not cloth diapering. My favorite is this: “I just think it would be so much harder than using disposables.” Okaaaay. Well, that’s not true, but I’ll politely disagree and leave it alone. 🙂

Cloth diapers are for one better for your baby, two better for the environment and three better for your wallet. They are so easy to use AND your baby looks so gosh darn cute in them 🙂
I did mainly because it’s natural. I did not want chemical filled disposable diapers on my son, I use natural everything else so there is no way I would use those. It’s also nice to save some money (not a whole lot if you’re me! haha)
Reasons everyone should:
1. Natural and healthy for baby
2. Savings, you can CHOOSE how much you spend to diaper your baby, it’s not .25 per diaper change!
3. Easy! Take off soiled diaper, wipe, put on clean diaper. It’s the same thing!
4. Laundry is minimal, do you know how many loads it added to my laundry just having a baby??? Babies make a lot of laundry, not cloth diapers!
5. Cute and soft! Paper, plain underwear? No thanks! I’ll take soft cotton with bright colors!
6. Never run out of diapers or wipes! I can always find SOMETHING to put on him while I’m washing
7. You can use disposable inserts in your covers if you need to for whatever reason, and you still get the great protection cloth covers offer.
8. Endless other reasons
I started using them because I had sensitive skin when i was a baby (and my parents had to use cloth on me) and was concerned that my baby would have sensitive skin. They are also a lot more green and less harmful than disposables. Plus, an added bonus- they are super cute!

Our son has been cloth diapered since birth, he is now 10.5 months old. Before he was born I did research about all the variations of diapering, costs, etc. We decided on Flips and cotton pre-folds. To this day we still hand wash and fan dry our diapers. We save on water, wear and tear on the diapers and of course finances. I’m a SAHM and tell people our routine of washing them and drying them to prove you can make it work with out using your washer and dryer everyday, multiple times a day. Cloth diapering is a wise investment in your child and future children. I’ve heard plenty of excuses but just like anything, you get use to the time and energy to make it happen. My husband and I love factoring how much we would have spent on disposable diapers and knowing how much we spent on our start up cloth diapering system. Our children are worth it!

Once you go cloth…you never go back. Disposable seem so cheap! Like having a paper gown at a doctor’s office. And this is coming from a mom who used only disposables the first two times around.

I was originally completely against cloth diapers. Then, my best friend decided to give it a try with her son. Our sons are 2 Weeks apart so I figured I’d sit back and watch her fail in a situation that would be similar to mine. After 2 Weeks of using them she was hooked and invited me to “come play” in her diapers. I did,and liked the cuteness factor and the money saving quality. I bought some, bought some more, and then bought some more. Lol. When my son hit about 14 months old his cloth diapers were leaking like crazy. I tried all kinds of inserts and even made my own but nothing worked. I returned to disposables. At 18 months his disposables were exploding on me from being so full. I was changing the kid every 45 minutes! At my wits end, I confided in a friend that makes diapers and she introduced me to stuffing with Indian prefolds. It worked! Now I hope to never see another ugly, worthless, leaky, exploding disposable diaper again.

When my son was born, I had the mindset that a lot of moms do.. “Of course I’m using disposable diapers!” But one day when I was searching on amazon, I saw something that caught my eye. Turns out, it was a cloth diaper. I never realized how cute cloth diapers were! I decided to do some more research and after realizing it was more economical and much better for the environment (not adding to landfills), I took the plunge and made the switch. I’m three months into cloth diapering now and have loved every second of it. Who knew I’d enjoy changing my baby’s diapers so much? 🙂

My daughter soaked out of even the heavy duty disposables at 4 months old. At 5 months I discovered the stuffable AIO, and I was hooked! By the time she was 6 months old I was a full fledged cloth diaper-aholic! My second baby was in cloth from birth. I”ll never look back!

I had been wanting to have a baby for quite a while so when I worked at CVS EVERY TIME diapers went on clearance I bought them so that I would be prepared for when we had a baby. Finally we got pregnant and at that point I had a closet full of diapers and wipes (more than I would have ever probably needed)! We decided to take a birth class and she talked to us some about cloth diapers and told us why there was no way she would use disposables on her kids. She said that disposables were even banned in some countries because of the chemicals in them. My husband thought we should consider cloth and i.said NO WAY! I thought it was still like a piece of cloth and pins. When he showed me the bg4.0 I said oh I can do this! We saw how greatly it would benefit our baby and how much healthier it would be. So now my closet still sits full of awful diapers while our baby girl is cute as can be in her bg’s!
I love this story! I used cloth from birth, but had to use a package of disposables at one point and I still had half of the package months later before I finally just got rid of them, I never reached for them!
As someone who has an enviable stash of diapers (though some are in need of replacement), cloth is CUTE!!! It’s also easier, cheaper, and so much better for the babe and the environment. Of course there are some yucky moments, but when you sign on for parenthood, you should be expecting that.
We chose them for the cost and because of the possibility of potty-training earlier since our child will be able to tell when they are wet sooner. They aren’t any more difficult than disposables. And we’ll never run out!

ours boys are 16months apart and when i found out number 3 was on the way. i knew we needed to change something……Cloth diapers seemed like a good option for saving some money. i even started using cloth wipes. Im so glad we switched i love the absorbency and they really are sooo much cuter. i use to see the comments about telling everyone and think i would never do that…….but…….i find myself telling everyone and anyone who will listen how great Cloth diapering is 🙂
I love using cloth diapers! We save so much money, it’s more environmentally friendly, it’s easy on my baby’s sensitive parts, and pretty darn cute! I was afraid it would be too much work, but it’s really not so bad.

Cloth diapers are awesome. You never need to leave the house to go buy diapers. They are fast and easy, affordable in the long run and super cute! For us, they were the start of what is becoming a very green home. We have moved to a nearly paperless kitchen and that’s just the start! The hardest part is making the first leap but with diapers this cute (soooo much cuter than disposables) and free shipping cotton babies helps make it super easy!
When I found out that I could save money while accesorizing my daughters wardrobe to be even cuter I said yes please! The fact that it helps the environment is a major bonus 🙂

I use them because it helps keeps the hips in better alignment compared to disposables, which is great for babies with hip dysplasia.
I love cloth diapers because they leak less than disposibles. A hemp babies prefold can last as long or longer than a huggies overnight without the chemicals. Cloth diapers are great for the budget. Even if you bought some of the most expensive ones, it would still be cheaper than disposibles. Pretty much any cloth diaper is better quality than a disposible.
I love saving money! I also like the idea of not filling landfills with water absorbing gel!

I have a sister-in-law that is pregnant with her first child that is considering cloth diapering so I’d love to share this prize with her! I use cloth diapers because it saves us money and is good for the environment and good for my baby since we don’t know what kind of effect all the chemicals in disposables can have on our children. It seems like cancer is more prevalent in our society than ever before and I’m sure there are a myriad of reasons for this, but disposable diapers just might be one of them. Cloth diapers really are not hard! And for me it makes diapering actually kind of fun! What user of disposables can say that diapering their baby is fun?!
Using cloth is easier than people think! I thought the extra laundry would bother me but it’s been ok. I also love that I am not putting tons of diapers into landfills!
I chose to cloth diaper my next baby to avoid the “we’re out of diapers” last minute run to the store, the cost and it is pretty cute to see a fluffy butt. We are due in early January with baby number two and I’ve already bought all the cloth diapers we’ll need till potty training and for only $150, most of which are Flips.

Why try cloth?~ Think about all that trash, money going into the landfills! Cloth diapers are cute as your baby & can be used over & over. You save about $0.30 every change & it adds up to. I know a lot of families that struggle & 30 cloth diapers that last the whole diapering phase & for more than one child vs disposables could make a huge impact!
I remember hearing a few years ago about diapers leaving chemical burns and causing rashes, I think it was just that one type of diaper but it was still scary. At that point I thought couldn’t have kids but it always stayed w/ me. I saw someone selling used cd on Facebook around that time. When I found out I was pregnant last year I knew I couldn’t waste money every week for the next few years on something that was going to be thrown out anyway. I’m a country girl & I have gotten into more natural/ old fashioned things. I’m still growing my stach for my 15 week old, even sewing some of our own to save money.
There are several reason’s why I decided to cloth diaper. First and foremost I knew it would save us money in the long run. Not to mention time. Many say oh it cost you more money with water and extra time washing which is not true. I have one load of diapers a week. It saves me time because I don’t have to make trips to the store for diapers. I also learned how long it takes a disposable to break down and I knew I wanted to do something to help the environment because we are running out of room in our landfills. Also my son only has had one diaper rash with his cloth only because he started pooping several times a day which left him a little red. We have also never had a blowout (crossing my fingers I’m not jinxing myself with this statement) and you can buy so many cute colors and prints! The only downside is I’m obsessed with trying different brands and researching and I think it’s become a hobby. I think I might be a little depressed when our kids are potty trained and I know longer have a need for them 🙁

I just had my third child and decided to use cloth this time. I never knew much about cloth before, so never even thought about using them. We decided to use cloth to save money but they have so many other benefits! I love that they are so much better for my childs sensitive skin. Plus, they are better for the environment!
I decided to use cloth diapers because they save you tons of money and are environmentally friendly(especially if you line dry everything). Cloth diapers are super easy and super cute and can be reused with other children.

We decided to use cloth because of financial reasons. We have twin girls and a currently unemployed husband and there was NO way we could afford disposables. Then I learned more about the nasty chemicals in disposable diapers plus the environmental reasons. I will always stick with cloth from now on. We all like using cloth, including my hubby!
I use bumGenius pocket diapers. I have fewer leaks and blow-outs than with disposables. Also, I have heard that the diapers with the snap closures are virtually impossible for a toddler to remove than the flimsy tabs on disposables. (I actually read that here on this blog!)

We use cloth because laundry is easier than going to the store in a pinch. Sometimes we don’t have money for diapers but with cloth, there’s nothing else to buy. Cloth doesn’t even have to be the cloth diapers that come to mind. They can be towels, tshirts, anything you have around. They’re very versatile and we have never had a blow out in cloth. We had constant blow outs with disposables. Besides being easy in so many ways, they really are cute!
Started cloth diapering with my 2nd baby… I’m saving money, cloth diapers look adorable, easy to maintain/wash, are so soft and better for the environment. Just wish I would have switched sooner with my first baby!!

I just recently switched to cloth diapers. Being a SAHM it just made sense. It saves money, energy, and its better for the environment. Plus they are so cute! I love all of the different styles! I’m learning so much! Now my sister wants to cloth diaper when she starts her family.

I’m looking forward to cloth diapering when my son is born. Not only will it help us save money, but I just can’t stand the thought of contributing all those disposable diapers my baby will need to a landfill.

I started using cloth diapers a month ago and can’t say enough GREAT things about them. I wish I would have used them the first time around. We are a one-income family and they are saving us lots of money. I think they are more comfortable than disposables and definitely more absorbent. Plus they look sooooooooo cute on my little lady’s tiny hiney! So glad I made the switch!
Cloth diapers reduce waste and save a ton of money, especially if you use them for multiple children. My husbands reasoning that cloth diapers are better is so that I don’t call him on his way home from work telling him to stop and pick up some more diapers because we ran out. LOL… Oh and lets not forget how stinkin’ cute cloth diapers are!
There are so many reasons to cloth diaper. I started because I liked the better-for-the-environment/no chemicals on baby factor. But, they save money, you’ll never run out of diapers late at night, they are cute, and I’ve never had a blow out in cloth either. The laundry is not that bad either. I do two extra loads a week. Simple!

We chose to cloth diaper after I read an article about chemicals in disposable diapers. Some of the chemicals are harsh enough to need an MSDS, yet we put them right up on our babies’ most sensitive parts? No thanks. I researched and researched, bought a couple of every type of diaper I could find, and waited for my daughter to be born. We hit some snags, sure–laundry issues, fit, overnight leaks at first, grandma’s skepticism. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m keeping harmful chemicals away from my baby, I’m not putting human waste in a landfill, AND, superficially, my daughter has the cutest cloth diapered bum out of all of my friends’ babies. I advocate any opportunity I can get–most people are stunned to see how efficient, and, dare I say it–easy modern cloth diapers are.
I love cloth diapers! My son is 6 months old, and we’ve used them since he was a newborn. Just knowing that we’re taking a load off of the environment is reason enough to try cloth diapers in the first place. We use the Cotton Babies’ Flip diapers, and even our babysitter is pleased with our decision. They’re convenient, washing them is not difficult, and it saves a considerable amount of money. Our son has done really well with them! He was 6 pounds when we brought him home, so we were in the newborn all-in-ones; at 8 pounds, we switched to the Flips, and he’s now 17 pounds. They fit perfectly, they wash extremely well, and they wear well, even when they’ve been purchased from the Seconds Sale. We’re in love with him, and we love his cloth diapers!
We needed to save money somewhere and switching to cloth seemed like the best way to save.
so much fun….I just started using cloth diapers about 4 months ago….and love them…..they are so easy to use, save money, are good for the environment…..plus you can get some really awesome prints and colors……..as an added bonus my little one has had no leaks or rashes….I started using them because my niece was using them, and had nothing but wonderful things to say about them…….and tried them once and was hooked
With the reality if an unexpected baby early on in marriage, we immediately decided to use cloth diapers when the baby would arrive in order to save us money! And it HAS saved us soooo much money by choosing prefold with covers. everyone said I would give up because it would be too much work and inconvenient but I really don’t notice it at all. I’ve told so many of my new momma friends about my experience and many have made the switch 🙂
My favorite part is the fact I am not contributing large amounts of trash to landfills! And it saves me money and makes me feel thrifty!
Our first LO is still on the way but I knew immediately I wanted to CD! I love knowing I’ll be helping to keep down the amount of trash in our landfills, and saving our family money. Not to mention CD’s are just cuter! 🙂

Modern cloth diapers are not what they use to be! We use them because they are so cute – keep rashes away -easy – no worrying about running out – no blow outs – saving money – no chemicals – for boys there is a study that they keep boys parts significantly cooler than disposables and can minimize risk of testicular cancer, not sure how true this is, but if it is I feel better putting my boy in cloth!

I started using cloth diapers because I’m on a really tight budget. Once we got into cloth diapering I found that there were so many other great reasons that cloth was a really great way to diaper your baby. So first off they pay for themselves in a very short period of time, leaving money in your bank account every month(as long as you can control the urge to buy more cute cloth diapers!). The other reason I fell in love with cloth and why is recommend it to other new moms is no chemicals next to your baby’s skin. I know that with cloth his sensitive skin is protected form the harsh chemicals found in disposable diapers. Plus I’m not putting those chemicals and plastic into a landfill. I also just love his big fluffy butt in a cute cloth diaper. I could go on and on about why someone should try cloth!
We use cloth diapers because there are so many fewer poopsplosions than with disposables. Cloth diapers won’t sit in the landfill for 500 years, like disposables. Cloth Diapers aren’t full of chemicals like disposables are. I could keep going…..
Environmental reasons, economical reasons oh and they’re cute.
I was one of the said “naysayers” just a few short years ago! Then I had a baby of my own and my views changed! We gave cloth a chance and have NEVER looked back! We absolutely love our Freetime diapers. We had to use sposies once because of a rash (to new food) and wow! Did those diapers stink! Not only did I change her diaper ever 30 minutes, but also her clothes – I just couldn’t stand it.
Cloth are just so easy, though I will admit they can seem overwhelming when you are just starting!
We’re doing it to save money and to keep all those disposables out of the landfills.

What are you going to do in an emergency situation like a blizzard, hurricane, or zombie apocalypse! You can’t just pop into the store and buy disposable when you run out. Cloth is a wonderful option for situations like those.
We were told that we would hate cloth diapering just because you have to deal with the poopie diapers, well after growing up working with cows and manure, dealing with my own child’s poops was not a big deal to me. I wouldn’t trade my adorable cloth diaper collection for the plastic chemical ridden disposables for anything! We are enjoying not having to go buy diapers every month!
You will never have to make that midnight trip to Wal-Mart to buy diapers.

Cloth diapering is intimidating at first but it ended up being SO easy for us. There is no stink lingering in the house between washes. There are no leaks. The myths and things you hear are untrue and come from an old school version of non-waterproofed cloth diapering. I now recommend it to everyone.
We switched to cloth because we were tired of spending out money on trash, and sick of the constant blow outs. That was three years ago, and we are now cd-ing our second. I tell everyone about how great cloth is. It’s so much easier than it sounds and better than disposables in every way!
I started cloth diapering using the bumgenius 4.0s 3 months ago because my son has kidney reflux and we heard cloth diapers could help keep his rate of infection down. I never thought I would trust a cloth diaper to contain the mess and keep my son from developing rashes, but my view point has changed and I now only use the cloth. So far he has had no infections or diaper rashes!!!
