Thursday Giveaway: Collecting Art
January 9, 2014 12:20 am | by

thumbnail-2

Who said works of art have to be displayed in a gallery or home?  Add a one-of-a-kind piece to your cloth diaper stash and use your baby’s bum as a walking canvas with original prints from the Chelsea Perry Tiny Socialite Collection.

The Tiny Socialite Collection was re-released in November 2013, giving cloth diaper collectors and art aficionados a chance to stock up on these diapers for a limited time.

Originally designed in 2010 by St. Louis artist Chelsea Perry, the Tiny Socialite Collection is among the some of the most popular diapers at Cotton Babies and is still sought by cloth diapering parents — both newbies and veterans.

To help you expand your cloth diaper supply and become more familiar with the contemporary work of Chelsea Perry, one person will win a Tiny Socialite Limited Edition Set in this week’s giveaway.

This limited edition collection includes a wet bag and three bumGenius Elemental diapers (one each of Jet Setter, Free Spirit and Eiffel Tower).

Want to enter? Tell us which artist you’d like to create a print for a cloth diaper.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Eligible entries must be posted no later than midnight Eastern time, Tuesday, January 14, 2014. U.S. residents only. Void where prohibited by law. No purchase necessary to win. Winners will be drawn after the close of the contest and notified via email. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. I don’t know enough about artists to know names, but I’d love to see some abstract, very unstructured prints where I don’t have to focus on whether the sides of my diapers are symmetrical!

I’d love something inspired by the bright color combos in the Andy Warhol celebrity paintings. But, he can’t design anything new because he is no longer alive. So, as for an artist that is alive, I’d choose Meomi (Vicki Wong and Michael Murphy)! they are the artists behind the “Octonauts” books. the illustrations in those books are gorgeous! they are adorable and bright and fun. I’d absolutely love to see them design a diaper!!

I’m sad to say I don’t know enough about art, or artists for that matter, to have any real preference as to who has a print on a diaper. I think it would be really cool for there to be a “freedom/human rights” print fashioned after Nelson Mandela.

I would love to see a starry night diaper! As for a current artist I think it would be a great idea to have a diaper designing contest. If you send I formation about it to all of the colleges you would be helping a young artist get their name out there as well as informing future customers about your product. 🙂
