Thursday Giveaway: Everyday Cloth Diapers
October 8, 2014 5:32 pm | by

Modern cloth diapers are designed to make cloth diapering easy for every-day people.

We believe that cloth diapering should be as inexpensive and as simple as using disposables. And with bumGenius, Flip or Econobum, it is! These cloth diaper systems are an everyday solution meant to replace disposables. This means that these diapers can be used over and over at any given time on any given day. Despite what some may think, cloth diapers aren’t just for special occasions — but those HTF prints may be 😉

For this week’s giveaway, we want people to choose cloth diapers every day and feel good doing so. Three people will win one bumGenius, Flip or Econobum diaper of their choice and a pair of bumGenius BabyLegs.

To enter, tell us why cloth diapers are (or will be) the best option for your family.

We just had our first a couple of months ago… all throughout my pregnancy I did extensive internet research on cloth diapering. I was so excited to get my stock going, but then the shower rolled over and no one gifted CD. We moved into a bigger apartment to accommodate our growing family…
It was a wonderful feeling to set up a nursery for my daughter, but I just sat there staring at our disgusting disposable diapers. I can’t believe with all my efforts I still ended up with disposables. We would love cloth diapers to show our family and friends who’ve doubted their efficiency that they’re amazing and not a thing of the past. I also would love to start a mommy blog soon so this would give me a good head start for product reviews!

    Hello,
I am a mother to a 14 month of beautiful baby girl. Unfortunately, we have not been in a great position to purchase cloth diapers. I came upon this site by searching for giveaways to help. Since my daughter was about 1 month old when she started getting a mild red rash around her belly button where the outside of her diaper met the skin, and the inside of her thighs, I decided to switch to cloth. I have been able to buy 6 cloth diapers since then. I have to do laundry twice a day to keep them clean and in rotation. For us, purchasing disposables every few weeks doesn’t make sense, cost wise or environmentally, but most important for my daughters skin. We can not afford organic diapers to see if they would help, but I am hoping around tax season to be able to buy several! Thanks for reading:)

We wanted to try them because of the environmental aspect. The money savings, cuteness and infrequency of leaks (compared to disposables) have totally won us over! The increased laundry burden really hasn’t been as bad as I was worried about – even for two working parents it is very manageable.

Cloth diapers are the best option for our children because we had a horrible experience with disposable pamper diapers. I changed my newborn one night as normal and noticed she got a litte fussy. Ok no big deal.. I fed her, burped her, and still fussy. I finally thought to change her diaper again thinking she might have peed and got fussy again. Pulled the diaper off to hear a big peice of glass fall from my newborns bum! I look on her backside to find an imprint of the huge sharp peuce of glass in her skin! Luckily it sat perfectly to not cut her skin. But never again will I put a disposable duaper on my babies! I’d rather know what’s on my child’s behind!

My baby boy is 10 months old and I had not one diaper rash or poopy blowouts with cloth. Few times I used disposibles, I had major blowouts up to his neck and diaper rash galore. “I hate disposibles!” Bumgenius with a stay dry inner lining and an extra insert is my savior for my baby sleeping 8-10 straight hours at night because he doesn’t wake up with a cold wet soppy diaper. It’s so soft and healthy on his butt and It’s just so fashionably freaking cute! It looks more smart and expensive looking than a generic plasticky paper disposible diaper. My pediatrician was very impressed when he saw my baby had on cloth diapers and said he cloth diapered too. But mainly mainstream Luvs, Huggies, and Pampers disposible diapers gross me out with their toxic granule absorbers and nasty chemicals. Plus the perfume smell is so strong I have an allergic reaction to them. It’s nice to know I’m not adding to the landfills he will one day be inheriting. I feel proud, responsible, and special cloth diapering. I cloth diaper because I LOVE, LOVE my baby and he’s worth it.

I’ve cloth diapered two infants in the past until they were reunited with family as toddlers, and right now I have a two year old in Flips and elementals full time and her three year old sister in flips trainers and 4.0s at night. We will be adopting these two and their two older siblings, then we will go back on the foster list for another infant at some point. It’s nice to know when we do my stash will be ready and waiting!

Cloth diapers have been a life-saver in our house! My kid pees so much at night and in the morning– thanks to cloth diapers, I don’t have worry about changing him at night or waking up to wet PJs and wet sheets. Just double stuff those pocket diapers and we’re good to go!

Cloth diapers are the best choice for our family because it saves us money, saves me stress from blowouts (about 2 since I started cloth, 3764647474 when I used disposables!), and they keep chemicals away from their private parts compared to disposables

Besides saving us money I love the fact that I don’t have to worry that any animals were tested upon or harmed to make these diapers. I know it will take some getting use to but since are starting out from the beginning with our first child, it’s not like we’ll have much to compare it to 🙂

I use CD every day and love it!! I first tried the cheaper pocket diapers but have sense switched to bumgenius AIO and I am in love! They are so easy to use and take the stress out of CD. The reason I chose to use cloth everyday is because it’s better for my son, better for my wallet, better for the environment and most of all the diapers are so darn cute!

We don’t always use cloth every day, but we try to. The “change 3 things” campaign really stuck with me a few years ago. It helps me to remember that even a little bit helps.

We use cloth diapers because it’s best for the earth and Hunter was born on Earth day, so it just makes sense, and more economical considering he’s number five.

Cloth diapers are great because you never run out of diapers, they’re easier on delicate baby skin, and not left filling up a landfill! We love BG, Flip and Mom and Gram’s homemade creations!

With 2 in diapers and 1 on the way, I don’t have to worry about finding the correct size diaper for each kid. I can grab one and quickly adjust the snaps as needed. I also save a ton of money by using cloth diapers and wipes.

Cloth Dave’s us money, reduces waste, and means I never run out of diapers. And, I always have the right size in the diaper bag, and never buy a new package just to find out that baby’s having a growth spurt and outgrowing them. Wish I had used them with my older kids!

It might take more time to wash them and dry them, but at least there won’t be any late night runs to the store for disposables. Plus, we won’t have to buy the whole litany of cremes for diaper rashes from all the terrible chemicals. We care about the environment and don’t want to be throwing all that plastic and trash away every day!
