Baby’s not here yet. But love everyones advice on what works for them.
Overnight we generally do a 4.0 with the regular and newborn inserts. We do a diaper change halfway through the night during feeds, so she generally doesn’t go that long yet.
I try to get as much sleep as possible before our little girl is born but I get up at least 1-2 times every night to try and get comfortable again!
for my toddler a fitted with either a thirsties 2 , econobum or wool cover… for the baby a prefold and a geffen soaker in either a bg4.0 pocket or imagine pocket. seems to work!
I use a geffen fladdle in a diaper bag fold on my son and a geffen hemp prefold in a flip on my daughter.
We use a 4.0 stuffed with bamboo and doubler
Overnight solution: I use Flip covers, 1 flour sack towel & 1 booster wrapped inside for my 8 month old daughter 🙂 works amazing! Flips have been the best fit for her & we love them.
we :::GASP:::: use disposables overnight. we tried every diaper style & he was getting rashes over night 🙁
My overnight routine is not a routine, really. It varies from night to night, but includes putting my 2 year old back to sleep after she wakes up and comes and gets in my bed, and feeding my two month old in the middle of the night, though he usually sleeps for a good six hours. Sometimes my daughter will sleep through the night and my son will sleep through the night, and then I get it really easy, but not usually. I do have to change my two month old son’s diaper during the night, but my daughter is good overnight in one diaper.
Our overnight routine is my newborn eating as much as she can by 8:30, she does it every night but I can’t complain too much since she is already sleeping through the night
Most nights we do a disposable. She’s a very heavy wetter and I’ve tried all sorts of things but she leaks out of everything. Oh well….it’s just one a day.
Triple stuffed 4.0!!!
We use a fitted and cover or Kawaii pocket with 2 microfiber and a thirsties hemp insert.
My overnight routine right now is to get as much sleep as possible before my baby is born!
Truth is, even with 6 kids, I sleep all night, no more waking for me!
I use a Forty41 Hybrid fitted with a Kawaii pocket diaper as a cover. It is the only diaper that I have founf that will last through the night (and sometimes even the morning pee as well) with my heavy wetter.
I think we have a pretty standard nighttime routine. Brush teeth, put on pajamas, hug daddy goodnight, and then read two books, talk a little about the day or tell a silly story, sing a song or two and then lights out!
Put older kids to bed (8:30) then nurse and put baby to bed (9:30). Get ready for bed myself. 20 minutes after putting baby down she is up crying. (Yes, this happens every night at the same time). Get baby back to sleep and then I go to bed. Baby gets up at 1:30 to nurse. Sometimes I’m lazy and just put her in bed with me. Sleep till 6 when baby gets up to nurse again.
Current overnight diaper is wonderful bambino fitted and insert with a large cover. I just got flip overnights I need to try though!
We have been using Kissaluvs contours with a cover and that’s been working for us.
Once we get our daughter to bed, my husband and I usually lay down with her and watch tv for a few moments before realizing we are exhausted and pass out… and then throughout the night I BF our little (between 2-5 times) Sometimes play on my phone, go eat something, or even clean if I can’t fall back asleep right away. The struggles of being a mom… I haven’t had uninterrupted sleep in over a year! Thank goodness for coffee!
Bath, diaper, bottle, book for my 10 month old:)
Our overnight routine usually involves baby waking to eat 3 times and 2 diaper changes. Fortunately, she usually falls back asleep pretty easily.
Disposables.
Lots of nursing, studying and sleeping after putting both babes in nbges stuffed with extra hemp.
I started cloth diapering this week, and I wish I would’ve started sooner! I have a 2yr old and a 1yr old who’ve been in disposables since they were born ( I didn’t know any better!), but after much research and asking many questions of my CD friends, I decided to start. My husband and I were spending $100+ on diapers+wipes+diaper genie refills EVERY MONTH, and with baby #3 on the way, I knew something had to change.
Even though I have to pay to do my laundry at a facility across the street (no washer /dryer in our apt), I will be CDing from here on out.
My favorite CD is BumGenius 4.0. The covers line dry very quickly, and the inserts do well in the dryer (I’m not allowed to line dry anything outside my apt).
My overnight routine is a bum genius 4.0 with a stay dry insert +newborn insert.
I don’t have a routine yet because we plan to cloth diaper our next. But hope my stash of fitteds and prefolds work for over night
A Sustainablebabyish fitted with a cover.
fitted inside a flip!
For overnight we are using a BG 4.0 stuffed with a Flip overnight insert.
We currently use disposables because we have a heavy wetter who is sleeping through the night. We are just nervous that if we use cloth he’ll start waking up more often. But I’ve picked up some fitted that I plan to try out this weekend 🙂 The worst that can happen is it leaks, right?
Our overnight routine is just to use a prefold and a cover.
My son is in a kawaii with a hemp dblr. My daughter is a super heavy wetter so I’m trying to use a cloth routine but for now it’s disp. Otherwise her diaper is giant.
A kawaii goodnight heavy wetter with a prefold. Works like a charm. 🙂
Bumgenius 4.0 with insert and thirsties hemp insert for 7 month old. Flip with GMD prefold for 3 year old.
Our overnight routine is…SLEEP!
BG 4.0 stuffed with the large MF insert over a hemp insert. No leaks!
We use hemp doublers in our 4.0 for night.
Your all awesome! I <3 Cottonbabies:)
Overnight routine : newborn so we just use BG free time or flips with bamboo inserts.
We used a fitted diaper super stuffed with hemp inserts and a wool cover. Nothing else worked for our super heavy nighttime wetter.
We use bum genius 4.0’s stuffed with 2 hemp inserts and a newborn BG insert 🙂
i use a flip with a flip insert and hemp booster at night. 🙂
Well, my first is due in May, so we have no overnight routine yet. But I’m hoping to do something relatively scheduled like Baby Wise for feeding and therefore diaper changes until we’ve got good sleep going overnight.
Bedtime routine is our favorite time! We do bath, lotion, pj’s, story, and a bedtime nursing session.
I haven’t figured out the perfect diaper solution yet for over night yet for my daughter.
We have just mastered the overnight solution. We use a BG 4.0 with an osocozy prefold and a thirsties hemp insert.
Co sleeping, breastfeeding!
Prefold and flour sack towel with a cover
nursing, nursing, and more nursing!
We’re lucky that our 7 month old only wakes once, and briefly. She gets a bath every other night – on bath nights she gets diaper-free time on the floor on her towel. We get her into her nighttime diaper and PJs, feed her in the glider, and I usually sing to her while we rock. She doesn’t usually fall asleep anymore, but we’re lucky we can just lay her in her crib and she’ll talk to herself for a few minutes, then roll over and go to sleep 🙂
Kawaii gnhw with one gnhw insert and one bamboo. Sometimes Freetimes if I get behind on diaper laundry bc I only have one Freetime and love it for when we are out of the house
After baby bear boy is bathed he gets lotioned up up with a nice lavender lotion. He gets a clean Flip with a FST on his tush and soft, comfy jimjams on. We snuggle in bed and he gets a story read while nursing off to those sweet baby bear dreams of his.
I love Flip Diapers!!! I use a flip with an extra stay dry insert.
My routine is put my 18 month old to bed, then avoid cleaning by watching netflix as long as possible while checking on him as often as possible, and then at 3 am finally give up, load the dishwasher, and go to bed. There’s usually a cry about a wet diaper around 4-5, and then more sleep until 9. More sleep is an excellent thing!
Our overnight routine: all three kiddos in bed at 8pm, the 2-year-old climbs in our bed usually by 2am 🙂 3-month-old wakes to be fed around 4am. 4-year-old climbs in our bed when she wakes around 7am, so I start my day with snuggles from all three!
Still working out a routine for little boy, but right now it’s lights down, diaper and pjs, sing row row row your boat, feed, then sleep.
My nightly routine is pretty much: Putting my four month old to bed, read her a couple books, nurse her to sleep, put her in a prefold and cover, say I’m going to collapse and sleep my butt off but actually wait till my husband gets home around 2 a.m. while catching up on social media. Lol
Overnight we simply use obge. Works like a charm!
Story, song and prayers with the kids ad they go own. Then. hubby and i catch up on emails, pray together, and watch a show. Then bedtime for us, too.
Disposables actually. But when I did try over ought, I stuffed a bumgenius with hemp and bamboo. She just woke up stinking so bad 🙁
I get the kids to bed (2 boys, Vincent 8yrs, Lucas 6 yrs) around 8/8:30pm…then it’s chore time until about 11pm. I’m 9 month pregnant with our first daughter (due April 29th) so I’ve been very uncomfortable. Sleeping at night has become minimal between body aches, tossing and turning and bathroom breaks. So I’m up ever hour or so readjusting the 400 pillows I have surrounding me or draining my bladder. Also for the past few nights my 6 yr old has had the flu, so he’s been keeping me busy. This tired mama would love to win a new dipe! 🙂
Overnight routine is a Hemp Babies and Thirsties doubler wrapped inside a Flip organic insert and stuffed into a BG 4.0.
My overnight routine is a flip and night time insert
feed baby…sleep…feed baby again…sleep….wake up!
Life of a newborn!!!
Usually a BG 4.0 stuffed with 2 bamboo inserts and a mf insert. My little girl is a heavy wetter but this keeps it all in while she sleeps 1900-0600.
Dinner. Bath. Naked playtime. Diapers. Cuddling while watching part of a movie. Off to bed to nurse to sleep for the twins. My 3.5 year old lays down and holds my hand.
Love Cotton Babies and my Bumgenius Freetimes! For overnights I stuff a Thirsties Fab Doubler or a Thirsties Hemp Insert under the flaps of the BGFT. Sometimes I will use a prefold and doubler under a Thirsties cover as well or a fitted and hemp insert. As you can see I have a few nighttime options!
Put baby In Freetime, nurse her, lay her down, go to sleep, and then repeat when she wakes up during the night…hopefully only a couple times.
My overnight routine is a hemp insert with a prefold. A flip cover goes on top and were good for the night.
Love Cotton Babies and my Bumgenius Freetimes! Definitely want to branch out and try Flip and the Elemental.
Overnight routine now consists of setting an alarm and feeding my jaundice baby every 3 hours. Using random prefolds on the bottom and a double stuffed 4.0 on the 16 month old.
We use a flip organic night time insert wrapped around a hemp insert inside a flip cover. Works great for night time for us.
My 20 month old wakes me up every night around 2 and needs her pacifier, which has fallen out of her mouth, replaced and a snuggle before going back to sleep. I am 24 weeks pregnant, so I have to get up to pee at 4 am. I am also studying for a big test, so I study after that while it is quiet before everyone gets up at 8 am!
I don’t really have a night routine. my nine month old has never had an issue but I usually just put in two 3 layer bamboo inserts in a pocket, or I use a prefold.
prefold and cover with an extra bamboo booster.
I’m lucky my kiddos sleep through the night now!
My overnight routine is to breastfeed my newborn everytime he wakes up and change his diaper. Also during the feedings I just navigate throught the internet and fb using my smartphone. Then go back to sleep and repeat.
What I use at night is a prefold trifolded wrapped around a newborn microfiber doubler inside a flip diaper cover.
Our overnight routine is a flip cover, flip organic cotton insert and a fleece liner. It’s never failed us yet!
I hope I’m answering this question properly! I only use BG for the overnight because they are the best in my arsenal against leg leaks, double stuffed with either a regular insert and a bamboo, or 2 bamboo inserts. Also I only use the Grasshopper or Twilight – not sure why, just something I do!
we haven’t found a bullet proof solution yet, we usually use a flip with a flip nighttime insert and a hemp doubler
Taking care of sick kids
Nurse and change diapers every few hours
Fitted GMD workhorse + cotton doubler + fleece liner with a double-gusset cover.
I thought you would really have to enter tonight. 😉
First, DH came from work at 12 A.M. baby boy wake up, we feed him, change the diapper into a night time diapper, we have dinner, and then watch TV until 3a..m when it’s time to bottle, baby boy it’s in the transition to sleep all night so soon our routine will change… I wanna sleep for more than 3 hours again! Haha ♡
I usually stuff our 4.0s with a bamboo flat and hemp insert. This combo has been working wonders for my toddler. 🙂
Until recently, we were able to just use MF inserts in pocket diapers at night just like during the day. This week they have started not being enough since my 6 month old is sleeping longer. We are trying a MF wrapped in a prefold stuffed in a pocket.
I mostly stay awake in bed reading until I get sleepy. 2 year old nurses to sleep and wakes every 2 to 4 hours to nurse. Luckily we cosleep so I don’t even haveto wake for it!
my overnight routine for my toddler is an obge and my baby uses a flip w a receiving blanket & insert. 🙂
A flip with two flour sack towels and an insert inside
We use flips stuffed with a prefold and hemp doubler for overnight.
We typically use a flip stay dry insert with a flour sack towel pad folded underneath. Then a flip or econobum cover.
My night time routine is typically working 3rd shift… On my nights off, I try to sleep peacefully in my own bed but somehow always end up with a child or two and sometimes even three in my bed! I wouldn’t trade it for anything though.
Well I normally put my kiddos to bed around 7-8. Feed my little at 10 pm. Get up with him around 2-4, then again at 6. The big one get up anywhere fri 6-7
At night we read a book together in bed then go to sleep. We wake up 2-3 times for feedings and one diaper change.
We don’t have an overnight routine just yet. We have really found one that works. For now, we are in flips during the day and we are in disposables at night.
I’m a nightshift RN, so besides the night feedings and diaper changes, I just try to enjoy the QUIET. It’s my only Me time. 🙂
Do not feel too confident with an over night routine yet! Searching for solution!
Nursing.. For the 5th time! lol Who needs sleep?
a couple inserts in our OS pocket & baby is good for his 10 hour night 😀
My nightly routine starts by tucking my 8,6 and 1 year olds into bed at 8 nursing my 1 month old, showering, waking my 8 year old up at midnight for her chemo pills, lay down for a little while. Anywhere between 2 and 3 the baby wakes to nurse. Anywhere between 3 and 5 the 1 year old wakes for a bottle. Anywhere between 4 and 6 the baby wakes again to nurse. I wake up at 6 to get my husband ready for work and start my day
My overnight routine is change the diaper and nurse the baby to sleep. Then try to get some housework done before going to bed and hope that he decides to sleep through the night but alas here I am. Changing his diaper and nursing again before we both go back to sleep hopefully to finish our night of sleep.
My overnight routine depends on if I’m working or night. I am RN and work night shift. Sometimes it’s have dinner with the family, nurse the baby and head off to work. Tonight I’m home so it was get dinner, get the kiddos ready for bed (I have a one year old girl in cloth and a 5 1/2 year old daughter). After rocking and nursing my youngest and getting her to bed I help make sure my oldest brushes her teeth. Then we read a story in her bed before saying good night. By that time I just want to sit and relax, so my hubby and I typically snuggle up to watch tv, usually reruns of the office and/or friends.
One freetime last all night! I love them!
We use a disposable on the baby. And the toddler gets a flip h&l cover over her disposable.
my overnight routine is double stuff with mf inserts on Velcro bumgenius diapers. My son only need to change one throughout the night.
No overnight solution yet. MIL is making wool covers and I have homemade organic cotton fitteds and liners.
Change a double stuffed diaper every three hours
Sleep as much as possible in between the baby waking up and demanding food! Haha!!
Well mostly just eat fall asleep, poop get a diaper change… Repeat, lol
We normally rock a Freetime or a BG 4.0 though the night and wake up once to feed. Right now, he’s going strong at five hours and I’m only awake because a really heavy hail storm just ripped through the area’s somehow my LO slept right through it!
We use BG Fts at night. Perfect for our girl!
Bed time can be kind of hectic here. We have dinner together as a family, bathe the littles ones, then into pjs and night time diapers. For the oldest, we use bamboo inserts and organic cotton flip insert with flip cover abs little sis gets a econobum with hemp babies inside a flip cover. Then it’s time to enjoy milk while snuggling reading a story or watching movie as a family. We have finally figured out different combos that work well for each girl overnight. 🙂 yay for successful cloth diapering.
Overnight routine here is a flip cover with a hemp insert golded in half and placed in top center of a thirsties hemp prefold. Then trifolded around hemp insert. Put in flip and fleece lined on top. Lasts 12 hrs no leaks for ds
My son is 2.5 and still waking once at night. If he wakes before 5am i rock him and put him back in the crib. If it us after 5am he comes into bed with us.
We are up every 2 to 3 hours, and breastfeeding! Still in newborn BGs!
We do a fleece liner, cbi with a flour sack towel or stay dry insert with a flip!
4.0 stuffed with one microfiber and two applecheeks bamboo inserts or one microfiber with a flat hemp and an overnight flip insert. Our overnight diaps are BIG! 🙂
How do I know if I’m entered into the giveaway? I followed all of the steps 🙂
We use 4.0 with a FST and a micro fiber doubler. 🙂
After trying everything under the sun, we opt for disposables overnight now.
My overnight routine currently is waking one to two times to rock my 2 year old (molars) and once around 3 am to nurse my 6 month old.
For overnight I put my 3.5 month old in a freetime. My 2.5 year old wears a super stuffed pocket – or a disposable.
Our overnight solution currently is a bg 4.0 with bamboo inserts
My overnight routine consists of pumping every 3 hours for my little boy who was born at 28 weeks and is in the NICU. My daughter thankfully sleeps through the night (she is 2). I cloth diaper her and am looking forward to cloth diapering him! He is my little miracle!
I work third shift, so evening routine is on the husband – bath, bottle, then bed starting at 7pm. A bottle around 530am when I get home, then kiddo is up for the day at 8am if I am lucky.
My overnight routine: try to sleep! And otherwise, breastfeed, breastfeed, breastfeed.
We use BG freetimes At nighttime.
Overnight routine consists of a bath or shower depending on the level of exhaustion. After that it’s reading to him in the lazy boy I bought that sits next to his crib that’s now in the “toddler bed” arrangement. I then have him lay in bed and play on his iPad if he wishes. Sometimes he falls right asleep. We then try to rush clean the hous before watching some TV. Around 2am he navigates to our room because something scared him. He wedges himself between us pushing us nearly off the bed. I then get up and sleep in the lazy boy. Lol.
Our bed time routine-
B ath
B ook
B oob
B ed
4.0 stuffed with bamboo!
i use a fitted w/flip cover
For my 3 year old he gets a WAHM fitted and a flip cover overnight. For my almost 2 year old medically complex kiddo who is tube fed he either gets the same or if we know he will be up a bunch because he is sick or his pump is going off a lot etc we just put him in his normal freetimes. Until recently he was up 3 times a night still so we just put him in freetimes.
Thank you so much for the chance to win!
Flour sack towel with a bamboo booster in a flip 🙂 <3
We use disposables for our 2 year old over night ans sometimes he even fills those. For our 7 month old we can put him in any of our cloth diapers and he will be fine until the next time he wakes up.
We just had our 4th boy 3 weeks ago, our 3 others are 2, 4, & 6. Overnights usually involve a diaper change, several feedings, some co-sleeping… sometimes up with the 2 yr old.. and occasionally the 4 yr old too. Not much sleep happening, that’s for sure.
I use a pocket diaper with a MF insert on top of a hemp prefold. Baby is a light wetter and 5 months old. I’m sure this routine will change as she gets older!
We have had good luck with a fitted and cover. I have bamboozle and sbish and usually use a Thirsties cover.
Our nighttime routine is barely that! Everyone gets their teeth brushed and big kid takes a shower. Little one picks out her Flip for the night and gets her jammies on. She plays Patty Cake with Daddy and then we cuddle while she nurses down to sleep! Once she’s passed out, she gets tucked into her own bed until its time for some dream feeding 🙂
we are still trying to figure out a nighttime routine that works for us heav wetter and sensitive skin ( cloth diaper related) if you are talking family nighttime routine 2 oldest in bed by 7 my little 19m night owl still wakes up at lease 3 times a night. which is why im here at 3am 🙂
I’m a single mom and I work as restaurant manager. I usually am up this late because I’ve just closed and I’m picking up my sweet boy from his grandparents house. Going to go home and put toys away and finish some laundry ❤️. Best night routine
Whatever the babe needs I do! That’s the routine! Currently it’s being rocked and sung to while she fights a cough. Anything for the babies!
our overnight routine is a fitted diaper with a wool cover
My overnight routine current consists of several trips to the potty! 21 weeks pregnant. 🙂
We use a variety of different night time solutions. Mostly just use a daytime diaper and add an extra layer. I really like the flip organic overnight seconds we recently received.
I use a happy flute custom overnight with an additional micro/bamboo soaker. I have also used a flip in emergency situations with a micro bamboo soaker and two microfiber inserts. No leaks!
my overnight routine was a bububebe sleepy time hybrid fitted with a sloomb wool cover. now that she’s out of diapers she wears a pair of trainers and a wool cover incase. flip trainers got us from diapers to underwear in no time!
We use BG freetimes. I change him when he is uncomfortable. We don’t usually have leaks. Otherwise, we use pocket diapers with a birdseed trifold wrapped over a bum genius microfiber insert and a hemp/cotton insert. 🙂
We use an elemental stuffed with an extra hemp liner. It always lasts all night without any worries. LOVE my elementals! 🙂
Flip covers with prefolds or bamboo inserts!
We use a FreeTime with a thirsties booster for overnights.
4.0 MF with hemp
We use fitteds with a flip cover over top now. With our son we stuffed 4.0’s with a hemp insert under a microfiber insert. Both keep us leak free at night 🙂
My overnight routine is usually a flip cover with an organic over night insert. Add a pair of fleece longies and we’re good to go!
OBGE! That’s all!
Flips and flip organic nite times for my 2 kiddies
Fitted with hemp booster cover with a flip
Our routine is bathtime, nursing and she’s out like a light
We haven’t developed one yet — still waiting to meet our first baby! But I hear good things about fitteds.
Bath, lotion, diaper, milk! That’s our bedtime routine!
My 18 month old is put to bed in a fitted covered with a Flip. Then I settle down with my newborn to nurse and relax. For now, we are camped out on the couch so Mommy can enjoy late night tv. 🙂
We always use a 4.0 with a Thirsties prefolds or duo inserts they work great for my little
I use a 4.0 with a regular microfiber insert as well as a hemp insert and we rarely have leaks!
Our overnight routine : we use FT with a doubler
well, my routine consist of me getting home from work and making dinner. I begin and my oldest gets home from school and we eat. after we eat I get to change my cloths and shower the girls. Once bedtime comes around my youngest gets put to bed with s sippy. During the time she’s falling asleep I get my oldest and we practice her words of the week and read her AR book. After I put her down and I get an hour to myself and I do homework or read. The to wake up tired all over again lol
After dinner we play until pj time. Pjs are followed by stories with Dada. Then we head to her bedroom and put on the sound machine on the rain setting. I rock her and sing the same songs every night while she has a boob. Then she goes into her crib.
We use Hemp Babies Bigger Weeds and a booster with a cover for nightime.
Our overnight routine is a 4.0. We used to use the microfiber inserts, but now use Flip overnight inserts.
We wake up maybe 2 times a night, since I’m usually up cleaning anyways I just take my little man wherever I am and nurse him (after changing him) and SLOWLY get him back into his crib (SLOWLY) or, I let him snuggle up with me 🙂
we use NBGE with a infant prefold under the flaps for my heavy wettig 3 yr old
My little girl is 4 months old, so she’s ready for bed at about 10pm! We use elementals with a hemp baby doubler for overnight which works great! We cosleep so I head to bed with her and she nurses to sleep! She’s getting pretty good with sleeping till about 5am, but does occasionally look for me to nurse back to sleep before then! Love that we wake up to no leaks!
Ft for overnight 🙂
My soon to be 7 month old just sleeps in freetimes at night. So far no leaks.
We are going to try overnight cloth for the first time this weekend! My plan is a flip cover with a stay dry insert over a fst. My guy is a heavy wetter and a stay dry diva.
We use disposables at night 🙁 Nothing else worked for us.
Flips with disposable inserts. They last allll night long!
We read a story, brush teeth, then off to bed.
Cloth wise, we don’t have a night routine. My twins are 2 1/2 and do disposables at night because they sleep 10-12 hours a night and the smell is too much for us. This works because we save on cloth during the day.
After the little one goes down at 7:30 it’s cleaning up from dinner, shower, and then usually an indulgent snack!
Our overnight solution is a flip with a hemp doubler wraped in a fst.
I’m considering trying prefolds for overnight since they are so absorbent – right now my 3 year old and 1 year old are in disposables because they sleep 12+ hours and are such heavy wetters. We’ll see what works best!
