Thursday Giveaway: Make it Happen
August 6, 2015 12:01 am | by

We’re all guilty of it: We say we’re going to do something, but never actually follow through with it. Deciding to make a change or trying something new can be difficult and somewhat scary at times. Especially when it comes to using cloth diapers. At first, some parents can be intimidated by cloth, and as a result, they steer clear.

Using cloth diapers should be just as easy to use as disposables.  Really, there’s no reason not to even try cloth diapers because they’re better for your baby, budget and planet.

For this week’s giveaway, we want to help you get going with cloth. Don’t be nervous. Don’t try and talk yourself out of it. Just make it happen. Four people will win a bumGenius, Flip or Econobum diaper.

To enter, tell us why you want to use cloth diapers.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Our primary reason for choosing cloth is to lessen the impact on the environment. When I read how long it took for diapers to break down in landfills, and how many would end up there per child, it made me sick to my stomach. I couldn’t imagine telling my baby girl that I so heavily impacted her world because I was too lazy to wash diapers!

We cloth diaper because cloth diapers are better a preventing leaks and blowout than those ‘paper’ disposable diapers. The cost savings, environmental benefits and cuteness are all great perks too!

My first little guy is 10 weeks old. One of my best friends uses cloth and gave a couple pocket diapers to try and I loved them instantly. I hate creating so much trash with disposables and I hope to bring down the overall cost of diapering. I’m amazed that diapers can last trough multiple children. On top of it all, they are so darn cute! I hope to spread the word and convince another mom that thinks it’d be too much work!

I love that cloth diapers can “grow” with your babies and they are reusable, so the cost and impact on the environment over time tends to be less than many many many disposable diapers per day. 🙂

Two major reasons for cloth diapering for us. First is cost over time, not having to always budget packs of diapers. And both myself and my husband have extremely sensitive skin so we’d rather not take the chances with our son’s bottom.

I was interested in using cloth diapers for my first child, but I went into preterm labor and really had no friends or acquaintances that could advise me on what to buy and how to do it so I used regular diapers. This time I am determined to at least try cloth diapers to do my part and reduce my family’s environmental footprint. I have consulted cloth diapering moms and have been reading blogs online to try to prep myself. I think I want to use the flip hybrids, but I have never physically seen one yet. I am honestly a little nervous about taking the leap to cloth but I think I’ll be okay once I start and get into it. I just found this website through Parents magazine and I’m impressed with what you guys are doing in terms of advertising and raising awareness about cloth diapering!

We just recently started using cloth diapers with our younger son 2 months ago when he was 4 months old. We were very much non-believers in the “that’s gross” crowd prior to this. Part of our reasoning for switching came with the realization in April that our older son is allergic to corn and it is in EVERYTHING, including most disposable diapers which left us buying more expensive ones. Since the switch we have noticed a world of change, no more diaper cream or rashes and Bumgenius diapers have truly been amazing. They never fail me, I have some cheaper brands and I always end up with leaks at some point and that never happens with my 4.0’s. I love your products and really hope I win!

I have a small starter stash, but would love to add to it! Clothing diapering so far has been super easy and fun!

I just ordered out first Econobums! I think they should be here today! I hope I like them as much as I like flips 🙂 We use cloth because I can’t justify filling landfills with 2+ years worth of disposable diapers that will sit for 500 years, when there is an option like cloth, that is much safer for our daughter and much more affordable! We couldn’t do it without you cottonbabies!

I want to use cloth diapers because they are better for baby, the environment and I never have to worry about needing to go buy more diapers in the middle of the night.

I wanted to use cloth diapers because it saves so much money, I hated the idea of just throwing away money, and to be one less family throwing thousands of disposable diapers into our landfills.

I want to use cloth to save major money! When I learned how much cheaper it is than disposables, it was a no brainer!! I’m definitely going with cloth wipes, too!

I want to have a full stash of newer diapers before this baby is born. I’ve used cloth before but so many of them are falling apart!

I want to use cloth diapers to save money that can be spent on family activities and wholesome food. I’m also trying to make baby steps to becoming more eco-friendly.

Cloth diapers are a huge money saver. Plus, they are simply better for the earth! You can’t be that. 🙂
