Cloth Diapers: A Dad’s Perspective
January 24, 2014 4:55 pm | by

EDITOR’S NOTE: This story is a guest post, written by Zachary Leibel, a cloth supporter,  teacher of reusable diapers, and dad to two boys. When my wife and I found out we were pregnant with our first child, we were naturally very excited, but also knew we’d have to make some decisions.  One of the decisions we made was that we were determined to go from a two person income down to just my income so that my wife could stay at home with the baby.  Some people thought we were crazy for even considering this in today’s world and said things

Help Us Share the Love

When I switched to cloth diapers from disposables there was a lot I didn’t know.  One thing that didn’t even cross my mind was that cloth diapers not only have a life beyond one diaper change, they may even have a life beyond one child.  A friend of mine mentioned using the same set of diapers on both her first and second children.  Even more awesome is that the next go-around for your cloth diapers could be sharing the love with who may not have otherwise been able to afford diapers at all. As a Mom, especially in those early days,

As many of you know Cotton Babies works hard to give to those less fortunate. Jenn and Jimmy Labit started Cotton Babies out of a need to provide income for their family. They had to cloth diaper because there was no room for disposables in the budget. Because of those unique roots Cotton Babies has been working to give to projects that our near and dear to our hearts. From time to time you may have heard us talk about the Sheltering Wings Orphanage in Burkina Faso, Africa. Cotton Babies regularly supports this organization with cloth diapers and funding for

Here at Cotton Babies we have a lot of goals. Sure, some of them are business minded, but many revolve around finding new ways to help parents and families. One of the overriding themes of Cotton Babies is that we believe in building bridges, not walls. We believe that every family, every parent, every baby is different. We believe that you (and all your lovely differences) deserve to be treated with respect. Therefore, our staff and products assume nothing about you…. and in the process of providing more families with what they need, we have made the cloth diapering world

Change 3 Things Update
March 8, 2011 1:14 am | by

For those who may not have heard already, our Change 3 Things project encountered a little hiccup. We had to begin again with a fresh Facebook page, which you can find here: Facebook.com/changethreethings Unfortunately, we lost all of our 6,000+ commitments from those of you who had “Liked” the page. If you are willing to make the commitment to change at least 3 cloth diapers a day, help us count by clicking “Like” on the Facebook page. Our goals are: 100,000 parents committed to change 3 cloth diapers per day.* 30-50 million pounds of prevented landfill waste* 100 million disposable

Love The Neighborhood – a project of Service International

I’m going to start out this blog post by telling you that we don’t often talk about things like this. I’m not exactly a “stick it out there so you can tell us we are doing a good job” kind of person. I know, the PR people are all shaking their heads in dismay. It’s not exactly the best promotional strategy. But it’s me. It’s my heart, it’s our company, we don’t like to talk about it and there you go. Disclaimer over. Have you ever wondered how you could make a significant impact on your local community using cloth

Help a Mother Out
February 17, 2010 11:50 am | by

Help a Mother Out partners with organizations throughout California to bring diapers to high need families. They essentially match up donators with donees (is that a word?) to provide diapers to families and young mothers in need. They also partner with diaper banks around the nation. Since May 2009, they have collected over 156,900 diapers for families in need! SO INCREDIBLE! Most of the families they help are not in a position to use cloth, but we recently saw a tweet from them mentioning one of their partnering organizations had a need for cloth diapers and we were so blessed
