Tuesday Giveaway: Genius comes in all sizes!
January 10, 2012 1:01 pm | by

At Cotton Babies, we believe genius comes in all sizes, from babies to adults. We wanted to make sure parents had a way to express their genius while their little ones sported our new Genius series prints, Albert and Lovelace. We created this t-shirt as a simple reminder of what true genius is.

Three lucky blog commenters today will each receive a Cotton Babies prize pack that will include an “I’m a Genius” t-shirt for you and a bumGenius 4.0 cloth diaper for your little one.
All you have to do is check out the entry form below and tell us how you plan on being a genius in 2012. A new year provides an opportunity to reflect on the past and inspires us to make the most of the days ahead. Maybe you’ve made a resolution, a goal or you’re expecting an exciting addition to your family this year. We want to know what genius things you are looking forward to this year. Be sure to check out the bonus entries you can earn by using your favorite social media sites as well.

Hey, thanks for the great Blog. Honestly, about five months ago I started using the internet and there is so much junk out there. I appreciate that you put excellent content out that is clear and well-written. Good luck and thank you for the great Blog.

I feel the same way as a lot of other moms on this blog. I want to be smart this year with my money!!! I am going to shop yard sales and buy used. Not just for baby but for me too. We are also getting a car this year to adjust to our growing family so we are trying to be as money smart about this huge purchase as much as possible.

I am taking small steps to change over to a more natural way of living. Buying all organic is out for us since it is so expensive but using reusable items (including cloth diapers) is a possibility. We have already started using snack/sandwich bags and I’m looking for a good system for freezing foods that won’t cause freezer burn but is reusable.

I am striving to remove the clutter from our lives, both in the way of objects and outside influences and activities that do not benefit us. I feel that this will allow us more time and more quality time as a family.

My genius intentions are to spend less time online and more time in my children’s real worlds. They need me to be plugged into them instead of being so deeply into blogs and facebook.

My genius plan is to enjoy the small things. I actually enjoy folding and putting together my cloth diaper stash. It makes me feel ready for the next day. As long as my kids need me my housework will take a backseat.
What’s that you say? They will always need their mom some way? Perfect genius plan

I plan on being a genius this year by making the most of my maternity leave as well as studying for a qualification for work. My baby girl Izabella was born in October, and I’m currently breastfeeding and cloth bumming and we plan to do blw, all of which I think is a pretty genius way to spend 2012!

My genius moves is giving birth to my son in April 2012, after being told I probably won’t be able to have kids, cloth diapering, breastfeeding, and making my own baby food to save money. Celebrating mine and my husbands first anniversary in March. And being the best mom I can for my son.

I am going to be a genius by doing cloth diapers of course! In addition I plan on getting up earlier, reading scripture, working out and planning my day before my kids wake up. I want to be more prepared for my day, for my kids and husband and for myself.

I am a new mom as of 11/28/11 a month before my ds arrived I decided I wanted to cd. Family and friends didn’t really support me they thought it would be so gross and way too time consuming. Six weeks later and cd from birth Im so happy that I didn’t let them talk me out of it. My sister having three young boys is now starting to cd and a close friend that has a 8 month old is too so happy I was able to show them how much better it is. In 2012 I want to be genius by passing on the joy of cd to more friends and family.

This year I plan to become more green no more paper towels, less water useage, and less energy usage. I have already switched all my lights bulbs over, I have been full time cloth diapering two kids for about 4 months and making my own products to make sure they are green.

My children are the best at making something complicated become so simple. They see the world in smiles and beautiful simplicity. For me, being a genius is stopping more and trying to see the world through their eyes. It makes everything more beautiful!

We’ve used cloth for almost 2 years with our first baby and I have 3 expecting friends that are planning to use cloth because of the information I provided them. I have that if I can do it you can do it attitude! We have really made an impact on what the world will look like when our child and future children grow up. I plan to continue on my path to reduce and reuse as much as I can and share with others tips and tricks so they can see how it’s really not that hard to make a simple change!

this is my husbands and my first babe. we are not struggling but we head a homeless ministry out of our house for the homeless in our community. Im not talking salvation army homeless, although they are in need, they are provided for. I am talking about those who live in tents in the woods and under bridges. People with criminal backgraounds to bad to be let in to the salvation army who still need salvation. We fund this mostly ourselves so if it come down to it and i couldnt breast feed then it would either be formula or diapers for our little one. So we started a cloth diaper stash so we would never have to choose. I have been CDing my 2 yr old niece for about a month now so she can potty train and i am so glad that i am! my sis just lost one of her jobs and cant afford to use sposies all the time now. I want to help keep homeless and low income parents from ever having to chose between diapers and food.Your story has really inspired me to reach out in a way i would have never would have thought of. The work you do in poverty stricken neighborhoods is truly comendable. When my babe arives in march she will be a bum genius baby for sure!( well… econobum.) Thank you for your generosity. The Lord bless you and your company!
