We’re changing things… again!
Have your heard? Cotton Babies is growing! We recently shared the news that we are moving our sewing and manufacturing operations to St. Louis, MO to share space with our corporate headquarters and warehouse. This is BIG news for us, and we look forward to hiring 60+ people to help sew and produce our best-selling diapers and accessories!
Since 2005, we’ve partnered with a factory in Englewood, CO to handle our manufacturing. The owners of the Colorado plant have recently made plans to retire and close their factory. When our owners, Jenn and Jimmy Labit, heard the news, they saw an amazing opportunity to bring operations closer to home. This new factory will be our main manufacturing plant for our bumGenius, Flip and Econobum cloth diapers, MilkDaze nursing apparel, Hemp Babies and Elemum product lines. Our team is working hard to get everything set up and ready to go. The plan is to have this new location up and running by the end of 2016.
Cotton Babies cares about the production standards of tomorrow. With the the factory being located under our own roof, we will have the opportunity to be more involved in day-to-day production, ensure our quality control is at the highest standard and provide more jobs for those in the St. Louis area. In fact, we are currently looking to hire about 60 local seamstresses to join our team. We hope to open the opportunity to provide up to 120 seamstress jobs in the near future.
If you or someone you know is a seamstress in the St. Louis area and may be interested in joining our team, please contact ashley@cottonbabies.com. A sewing test will be administered, but beginners are welcome to apply as on-the-job training will be available. Please note, this will not be a work from home job. You can read more about this transition in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
We can’t wait to start changing things around here!
