Cotton Babies provides a warranty on workmanship and materials in a properly cared for Cotton Babies manufactured cloth diaper for one year from the date of original purchase of new product from authorized retailers. The Cotton Babies Warranty covers all components of our products including snaps, lining, hook & loop closures, elastic and waterproofing. The warranty is extended to the original purchaser of the products only. Proof of diaper purchase from an authorized retailer is required. To make a warranty claim, product must be sent at customer’s expense along with proof of purchase to their distributor for examination of workmanship and materials. After reviewing returned product, distributor may repair, replace, or provide simple instructions for resolving the problem with the product. The Cotton Babies Warranty only extends to Cotton Babies manufactured cloth diapers that were purchased new from an authorized retailer. Unless caused by manufacturing or component defect, it does not cover normal wear and tear. It does not cover issues related to washing machine or dryer defect, improper product care, or improper usage. Some examples of things not covered by this warranty include melting, leaking, staining, diaper odor, or diaper rash. If your child has a diaper rash, seek medical advice.
WARRANTY IS VOID WHEN:
- The washing instructions have not been followed.
- The diaper has been altered
- Any of the following has been used in conjunction with the use/care of the product:
- Water temperatures exceeding 140°F/60°C
- Fabric softeners
- Any product or chemical not designed for use in laundering clothing
- Diaper rash cream
- Product was purchased through an unauthorized retailer. Verify your retailer by reviewing the list of authorized retailers here prior to purchase.
A NOTE ABOUT DETERGENT CHOICE
We recommend the use of detergents that are free of optical brighteners, perfumes, fabric softeners, and dyes. Many detergents may leave certain chemical residues on fabric. Some, not all, babies may react to this residue. If your child has a diaper rash, seek medical advice. Parents are responsible to ensure that the detergent of their choice is safe for their child. The use of bumGenius detergent is recommended, but not required for warranty coverage.
