It’s #ThrowbackThursday (aka #tbt) so let’s take a trip down the cloth diaper memory lane.
How long have you been using cloth diapers? Do you have a favorite cloth diaper memory that comes to mind? Remember that very first cloth diaper you used? Got a pic of those cloth diapers your mom had when YOU were a baby?
If you were able to answer any of the questions above, then you’re ready for the #clothdiapers #tbt. Even if you can’t, join in anyway, cause hey, everyone’s #tbt has to start somewhere.
For this week’s giveaway, we want to see your throwbacks. Tell us the first cloth diaper you used or #SnapYourStash and post a pic of your baby in the first cloth diaper you ever purchased for a chance to win.
Three people will win a bumGenius, Flip or Econobum diaper of their choice.
Eligible entries must be posted no later than midnight Eastern time, Wednesday, January 21, 2015. U.S. residents only. Void where prohibited by law. No purchase necessary to win. Winners will be drawn after the close of the contest and notified via email. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. I don’t have any pictures of my first purchase. Before my daughter was born I invested a lot of money in another brand of diaper. One of the purchases was from an online store that had a promotional free diaper when you spent over a certain amount. That free diaper was a BumGenius 4.0. By the time my daughter was 3-4 months old I had all of the other brand and purchased an entire stash of BumGenius and Flip products. Now we are expecting another baby this summer and he will be wearing BumGenius from day 1 🙂
I told my brother I wanted to try some cloth diapers and he bought me 7 bumgenius 4.0 to start. They are awesome and I think I’m becoming a cloth diaper addict!

So when I was wanting to do. Cloth my sister was trying to discourage me saying it costs too much and each diaper is 35$ and it isn’t worth it. My daughter wore her first cloth diaper (bumgenius 4.0 dazzle) at 13 days old! We have loved our cloth diapering experience! I tell everyone I know that it’s amazing. It’s good for the bank account, the environment, my daughter’s health… not to mention it’s adorable! 🙂
I am getting back into cloth after 5 years with a girl this time around. I would love these to help build my stash!
My first purchase way back when were the G Diapers.
We just started cloth diapering at the beginning of December. I wad hesitant which is why it took me until she was four and a half months to start. I fell in love. I had a mixture of brands; Kawaii, Alva, and Bumgenius. Now we have started using flips and the love for cloth has turned into infatuation. The Louis flip was the first she even wore. It fit her perfectly. She moved better and plays more in her flips. I got rid of over half of her pockets so we could use primarily flip diapers. A long road ahead, we definitely gave Bumgenius flip love.
I purchased some fuzzibunz from a mom friend of mine before I was even pregnant! After having baby, we found we weren’t fans of FB and never used them!

My first was a used, small bg aio (moonbeam). The PUL was not waterproof anymore (almost like it was just a fitted) and it leaked ALL over the place all the time but some how I just fell in love with cloth diapering anyway. More than 4 years later and we still use BG : )

My first cloth diapering adventure consisted of Bambino Mio sized covers and Gerber prefolds. That was almost four years ago and I only had them because I got them at clearance prices. They saved MY bottom from having to buy sposies though. Nowadays we are using Flips, and DH said if we ever have another we can upgrade to 4.0s!
My first cloth diaper purchase was on June 23, 2013! I got 8 4.0s for $104.85. I got two free because there was a buy 5, get one free deal and I got another one free for spending over $100. I now have 17 4.0s and 18 Flips. =)

My daughter’s first cloth diaper was a Lovelace freetime at 10 months old, my son’s was a bumgenius newborn Jules at minutes old! I guess you could say I’m a fan of the genius series! Lol
#tbt great idea!
My first purchase was 7 Freetimes from a seconds sale!
The first time I ever used a cloth diaper was about 5.5 years ago– I had flats and prefolds from Target, and I had to go to a ‘baby store’ (which I was trying to avoid at all cost!) to get pins. About a week into pins and flats, I received a few velcro diaper covers (Imse Vimse, Bumkins, and a FLIP!)– and experienced a huge shift in my standard of living (just kidding, sort of)! No more pins were used, ever, and I now have about a dozen Flips for my newest little one 🙂
