Tuesday Giveaway: Be a genius, keep cool!
July 24, 2012 4:25 pm
I’m not sure about where you live, but here in St. Louis, it’s HOT. It has been for a while. It can sometimes be a challenge to keep yourself and your little ones comfortable and cool during a heat wave.
Many cloth diapering parents prefer to use natural fibers during the warm weather. Whether you like prefolds, organic cotton inserts, flats or all-in-ones with cotton we have lots of great options for you!
For today’s giveaway, we want to help you keep both you and your little one cool. Each Cotton Babies prize pack this week will include a bumGenius Elemental cloth diaper and an “I’m a genius” cold cup. To enter, just tell us what is your favorite way to keep cool during these hot summer days. Additional entries are available in the widget below:
Eligible entries must be posted no later than midnight Eastern time, Sunday, July 29, 2012. U.S. residents only. Void where prohibited by law. No purchase necessary to win. Winners will be drawn after the close of the contest and notified via e-mail. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. We hereby release Facebook of any liability.
We keep cool in the pool
Popsicles seem to do the trick!
Pool and orange juice
I love splashing in the water with my boys!
Splashing around in the ocean at the beach!
In this Tx heat we stay cool by drinking loads of water and going swimming!
Filling up the kiddie pool! 🙂
We like swimming at the park or heading to the local (air conditioned!) children’s science museum!
Either stay in the AC or we like to put the hose on top of the slide and a tarp at the bottom and make a fun water slide in the back yard!
AC and lots of water!
Playing in the baby pool and making homemade Popsicles with the baby bullet
Swimming, fruit, and fluids 🙂
I’m pregnant…so I’ve been planted in front of the fan this summer. My son and I also hit the pool that is just around the corner (<-lucky)
Baby pool and lots of fans
Onsies and cloth diapers are the only articles of clothing that are necessary for my 9 week old!
Swimming & smoothies!
Splash park, swimming at Grammie’s, and lots of ice cream! 🙂
A nice run through the sprinkler!
Don’t miss the STL heat! I like to go swimming and just float.
The sprinkler and sweet tea in the shade :+)!
Fluffy bottoms and lots of water and fruit!
I keep my Haley cool by just dressing her in a cute bumgenius 4.0!
Stay inside in the AC
Pool and many days with only a bumgenius 4.0 on playing in the AC 🙂
Lots of fluffy butts running around and keep the water coming!:)
Swim team practice (well, it keeps the kids cool) and freezing all sorts of snacks like gogurt and grapes
Can’t do anything outside with a newborn in this St. Louis heat! If we want to go out we do it early before it get’s too hot but we mainly beat the heat by staying inside!
Ice cold sun team and swimming!
We go to the pool, and do lots of activities at home with ice. One of my favorites are iceberg treasure hunts, which I make by freezing small toys in a bowl filled with water. I give the kids salt, warm water and various other tools to dig them out with.
We stay cool by drinking a LOT of water and taking breaks to come inside and “chill”. We do tummy time on the floor in front of a fan. Papa and baby get to take their shirts off….lucky boys!
Hmm- hot summer days I’ve heard of them but in Alaska they’re few and far between. 🙂 But on vacation we resort to using the A/C!
Fresh fruit smoothies are our favorite!
I keep my little guy cool by letting him run around in just his Bumgenius 4.0 and a t-shirt and playing in the sprinkler in the back yard.
Frozen yogurt trips and lots of fresh fruit! 🙂
