I just had a baby on Monday so we will be taking it easy this Independence day weekend. We will BBQ some food and watch the fireworks from our house.
We have time with family planned and going to watch fireworks – not sure how my 2 year old will take that, but I’m excited to try it this year for the first time.
No more big trips until after our new little man joins us- I’m excited to spend 3 uninterrupted days with my big girl- taking her to a baseball game Saturday, a cook out on Sunday so Daddy can see his friends (he needs it!), and fireworks and music for the 4th. The BG t-shirts would be so cute to celebrate next year- Mommy is into green frogs and Daddy likes dragonflies- can’t go wrong.

We’re celebrating our son’s first birthday! Skklemm@Gmail.com
We will go to the lake to enjoy the fireworks from the boat 🙂 Little Beckett is 4 months and I doubt he will enjoy the noise, but the other kids 18, 16, 14, and 12 will have a blast. Thanks, Laura

We will be cooking out and watching the fireworks! My little one will be watching for the 2nd time, hopefully this year she will be big enough to enjoy!!
klsiegler at gmail dot com
We will be hosting friends for a pool party and evening cookout – squeezing in a nap for the kiddies in between. Then later, our town has fireworks, so we will be carpooling to get to the lake. Exciting, busy day!!
We will be grilling out with friends and then heading out to the lake just outside our South Carolina town to watch the fireworks over the water. Last year our little girl was a little to young to appreciate fireworks (4 months), but I know she is going to go crazy this year at 16 months! So excited to get her dressed up in her 4th of July outfit complete with a stars/stripes hairbow!
First fireworks for our nearly 2 year old! He was alseep soundly during that last year… maybe he will be awake this year? I am excited to see his reaction to them!
we’ll be hanging out at my parents’ house during the day, but will probably come home for the almost-9-month-old’s bedtime and watch fireworks on TV!
oldfashioned07 at gmail dot com
We are going to a grill-out at a friend’s house on the 3rd. No specific plans on the 4th other than just having family time at home! I imagine neighbors will set off fireworks, so our little guy may get to see some.
Sat and Sun will be family time and preparing for our 11th annual 4th party at our home. We host 50-60 people for a fun in the sun afternoon of swimming, fellowship, food and fun!
We plan to watch some fireworks and have a cook-out with friends.
We always have a huge pool party, my daughter will be wearing her swim diaper (aka a repairable used BG 3.0) last year my baby was in my tummy at only 7 weeks!
Fireworks to music, a day with friends, then two days with family. Not the girls’ first fireworks, but they won’t remember having gone last year so it will be new for them!
Unless we receive a surprise, this weekend we will be waiting the last few days for our first baby to arrive!
We’re going to be celebrating our third wedding anniversary on July 4th with our 2 year old and 4 week old. God has blessed us with beautiful, healthy babies; We can’t wait to share them with our friends and family on the Fourth.
We are barbecuing with friends on Sunday, and will catch the fireworks display downtown on the 4th! Baby is still cooking inside, so s/he will be going everywhere I go. 🙂
We will be hanging out with family for a bbq and watching fireworks mommygoingreen4 at yahoo
We have 3 babies (ages 3, 14 months, and 1 month) so we will probably just stay home, swim a little, and let them watch fireworks!
We will be celebrating with a BBQ at my aunts house. We will attempt to show my 3 month old the fireworks but we are afraid he will get scared.
LOTS of fireworks for our family! Our local town parade as well 🙂
RobinLM at fuse dot net
We will be visiting friends at their lake house all weekend — enjoying great food, fireworks, and lots of fun!! 🙂
Well be bbqing and hanging out with family and enjoying fireworks that we can see from our house that the city puts on. This will not be his first year but im sure he will enjopy it alot more this year.
We’re hoping for a nice quiet weekend, maybe a cookout at the neighbor’s, maybe get a couple of rooms painted…we live in the desert, so it isn’t likely that the little ones get to see fireworks this year.
We will be heading to the cabin for a long weekend. With all of his grandparents in tow, our little guy will be witnessing his first of many firework shows that are put on by his grandpa and friends.
I will be registering for our baby showers, our little guy wont be here until October, but I am sure he will hear all those fireworks! (firstname.lastname@example.org)
We hope to catch up on some sleep. Our little one will be born in October and has been wearing me out! We are hoping our neighbors will go easy on the fireworks as they really upset our 10 year old dog.
We will be at the river, watching LO’s 2nd fireworks display–wow, time flies!
Grilling and swimming!
We will be taking a vacation to go camping for a week! We are excited to be celebrating the 4th pg. with our first. This has been a dream for over 7 yrs, but this little miracle is so worth it!
We will be going to a friends house for a BBQ and swimming. Maybe going to the beach for fireworks.
Okay…going to be honest here – I totally forgot it was a holiday weekend!!! Oh my goodness! I’m sure there will be a picnic put together at the last minute at my parent’s house and this will be the very first BIG firework event <3 I'm sure he will hate it. If it's a loud noise - it better have a motor...otherwise he is just not interested. Hahaha. Ohhh I can't wait now!!
This weekend we are planning on being in a children parade also it is my eldest sons 12th birthday on the 4th, so we are celebrating this as well as our freedom!
We are driving down to Arkansas for our DD to meet her great grandfather for the first time! It’s our first long car trip too…wish us luck! email@example.com
We’ll be taking our 6 week old daughter to visit Grandma’s for the first time (4hour drive) and she’ll be meeting great grandparents, aunts, and uncles. So excited to show her off!
We’ll definitely watch a couple of fireworks displays. My boys are 3.5 and 11mos. Always more exciting when viewed through the eyes of a little kiddo. Thanks for the giveaway!
wait for daddy to get home from work, then watch fireworks from our driveway!
nchernandez6 at gmail dot com
We are going to cookout and out little guy (11 months old) will be watching fireworks for the first time! I can’t wait to see his reaction! Have a great and safe fourth everyone!
Our plans for the long weekend are to stay at home and try to get some rest! It will be my twins’ first 4th and they already have adorable red, white, and blue outfits sent by their grandma. We’ll probably watch the fireworks set off by our neighbors, since we won’t have our own (what with having babies and a 3 year old). 🙂
We are going to barbecue at the Grandparents. No fireworks, because it will be very late and baby hates loud noises.
I doubt my 9 month old will stay awake for fireworks but we’ll try. She will be showing off a White Elemental, some blue BabyLegs, and a red tee!
We will be at the cabin for the forth of July. The baby slept through fireworks last year at only 7 weeks old, but should be awake and able to enjoy them this year!
ktiegen at yahoo dot com
I don’t think our little one will get to see her first set of fireworks because we are SO dry here in Texas, but our baby loves to grill out and that we will certainly do! Big sister will miss the fireworks, but I am sure swimming will be a good substitute.
We’re going to visit family in another state for a very long weekend (6 days) and will be seeing my sis’s brand new baby. It will also be my little girl’s first 4th and her first LONG road trip
jenniferbleiler at gmail dot com
I was just looking at what is happening in our town for the 4th of July. We are definitely going to the festival downtown on Monday and watching the fireworks. I would love to go the the Historic Railway Museum on Saturday for the special Independence Day train ride. I know my almost 3 year-old twin boys would love it.

Just found out that my husband will not be working, so I think we’ll try to take the kids to see some local fireworks! Yeah… and it will be the first fireworks for the youngest two!
We’re planning a joint birthday party for our two boys (3 and 1). Spring was so busy that we haven’t had a chance to celebrate yet!
This will be my son’s second 4th of July (last year he was only 2 months old). My husband has a 4 day weekend off and we are hoping to go on a trip to the zoo Saturday and then to a friend’s BBQ Saturday night. The 4th of July my husband is running a race and then we will spend the day with family BBQing and hanging out. I can’t wait!
etwilkins at gmail dot com
My son wasn’t born in the US, but we recently moved back, so this will be his first 4th of July in America. We will be celebrating with a family barbecue, then doing our own fireworks with family and friends.
I am going to my husband’s uncles farm down in Iowa (we are in Minnesota). They have a HUGE fireworks display and I am sooooo excited to see how my 15 month old likes them this year!! Last year he liked them for a few minutes until he got really scared…
rahuss85 at gmail dot com
We are planning on going to a 4th of July parade and spending a lot of time with our family! My husband is currently working 12 hours away but there’s a chance he may be home for the 4th! Fingers crossed!!
My brother’s birthday is the 3rd so we’ll be going to dinner with him and my parents. On Monday my parents are having a big barbecue at their house. We have a few family members from out of state visiting so it should be great. We’ll be swimming all day and grilling some delicious food! This is my daughter’s 2nd July 4th, but she was only 9 months last year so it should be more exciting!
butterfly1979_ at hotmail dot com
we are going to cardboard boat races, booths, petting zoo etc on sat and then a bbq and parade on the 4th. It will be my 11mo olds first 4th!! we are excited!
We are relaxing at home and getting ready for the kids dad to get home after a year away. I’ll cook out and the kids can all go in the pool.
Taking my children to the park for a day of fun filled activities~
Our plans will include a local prarade, going out for our trational family clam lunch, enjoying a BBQ at home and watching the fireworks. My 5 and 3 year olds are so excited and this will be the first time for my 9 month old.
My little one will be tagging along for a 4th of July hike.

My 2 year old son LOVES things that make loud noises (and loves imitating them lol) and has been absolutely fascinated by fireworks the last couple times he’s seen them, so I’m sure he will have a blast watching them again this year. It will be my 8 month old daughter’s first 4th of July and I think she will really enjoy watching them too since she is so fascinated with her surroundings right now… However, a little concerned about the noise for her, as she startles easily. 😉 We may watch them from indoors as I think Daddy has to work anyway and we only have one vehicle. But both my kids will be sporting a Flip or bumGenius diaper in pink, white or blue! 🙂
Our little one will be watching Grandma Lolly’s horses trot down the street in the local 4th of July parade. Then he will be Daddy’s BBQ buddy in the afternoon!
Thanks! We LOVE BumGenuis diapers! They fit our son great and they are ADORABLE!
It’s a weekend filled with family reunions, 2 grandparents birthdays, and hopefully fun at the beach! It’s gonna be hot so we’ll be spending a lot of time playing in pools with our Bumgenius cover in Ribbit as DS’s bathing suit! LOVE not buying swim diapers!!
We are hoping to try camping with our daughter for the first time and then to a get together with several of our “mommy friends” for the fourth. Should be a good weekend overall!
lboessenkool at yahoo.com
It will be our boy’s second cookout, his first being on Memorial Day weekend, but he’ll see (and hopefully not be scared by) his first fireworks!
goodgracious at juno dot com
We’ll be attending a big party and watching fireworks from my in-law’s backyard on Saturday and cooking out with some friends on Sunday. I hope my 9mo-old isn’t frightened by the fireworks!
elizabeth.kemker at gmail.com
We will be celebrating the 3rd birthday of my niece. My son will enjoy his first fireworks display wearing a moonbeam flip…to match his 4th of July outfit, of course!
My husband and I both work full time so each and every momenth of our weekends with our 2 year old and almost-3 month old are extremely precious. Since we have Monday off, making it a long weekend, we plan to shirk all of our responsibilities all weekend and just play and be together. 🙂 We plan to attend our City parade and watch the fireworks, which will be a first for our little ones. Oh, and cooking on the grill is a must! Can’t wait!
Well, my hubby will be out of town on a mission trip with our church, so my little boy and I will be hanging out at grandma & grandpa’s house on the lake and enjoying his first fireworks show in his bumgenius AIO 3.0s that I love! (And the only cloth diaper my hubby will use LoL)
Our plans will be grilling out and watching fireworks! my 3 year old loves watching them and hopefully my 16 month old son loves them just as much. this is the first time for him! my 3 year old also loves those poppers that you throw so we will have to get some of those since they are safe!
We usually host a big BBQ in early May since that’s when our anniversary and my husband’s birthday is. This year I was giving birth to our second son on my husband’s birthday! We decided to have the BBQ this weekend instead. Grilled pork chops, steaks and ice cream sundaes! Our 2 year old will be helping daddy grill and our 7 week old will be passed around the guests!
Sadly one of my 8mo twins doesn’t like loud noises, and my 2 yo is a wild child we could lose in a crowd. So, it’s the pool and watching from my bedroom window! thanks!
farrah dot ritter at gmail dot com
my plans are to hang around the house and enjoy my family. Maybe we’ll go to the pool.
We will start off our little guy’s first 4th of July weekend by meeting his new cousin after his/her arrival tomorrow to loving parents who introduced us to the wonderful world of cloth diapering! Followed by a trip to see his grandparents and many more family and friends, where we will enjoy the tradition of homemade ice cream, fireworks and helping Grandpa and Grandma with wheat harvest!!

Our plans for this weekend include lounging around at the lake and cooking out on Saturday. At 7.5 months pregnant in the Texas heat, I can’t think of anything more appetizing than a cool body of water to submerge myself in!
This is our last 4th of July kid-free…so we’ll be enjoying it and dreaming about what it will be like next year with a new little one!!
My little one is less than a month old, so we will be spending some quality time with family and close friends 🙂 Going to BBQ, squeeze some fresh orange juice from our tree and relax 🙂
No plans so far… sometimes my neighbors will do fireworks so we may stand on the porch to watch… my daughter is only 6 months old and while I know she would love to WATCH the fireworks I don’t know if she’d like to LISTEN to them!
We are planning/hoping that our son will be born this weekend!
On the 3rd we will be celebrating my Daughter’s 2nd Birthday with a big party! And on the 4th we’ll probably head to Seattle for fireworks and festivals!
I think this year we will play with sparklers and try to see the big fireworks from a distance. There will be BBQing too of course!
lainehosey at gmail dot com
This will be the first July 4th for our little family–I am definitely going to forego my desire to see live fireworks in order to keep our 8 month old at peace…. We will enjoy cooking outside in our pizza oven and splashing in the kiddie pool though!
Gerstenecker at comcast dot net

We are going to some friends house for a cook out. It is little Ellie’s first 4th but she is only three months so not too exciting for her :). My other two are ages two and four so they are excited! But they are not wearing diapers anymore, lol!

We have family coming from out of town, cooking out, family time, and it will be our 4 month olds first celebration of independence day!
I’m so excited for our little Gracie’s (5 Months) first 4th of July! We invited a family that we’ve become close with through a playgroup to come over for a BBQ! So Gracie will have a playmate here. The girls are even wearing matching outfits and headbands I made them. Gracie will be sporting a Moonbeam diaper…yes I plan diapers with outfits on special occasions 🙂 Haha. I think we are going to skip the fireworks too late and too loud for the baby. Happy 4th to all!!!
Melissa Marquis, Maine
We’ll be traveling this weekend and hope to catch fireworks in Colorado. One little boy will see his first fireworks,if he can stay up that late. pete.rebec [at] gmail [dot]com
Our towns fireworks can be seen from our apartment. We’ll bring the kids and the baby(2m, Oscar) out to see them.
We will probably do a cook out, but no fireworks for C yet. It will definitely be past her bedtime. :D. But she has an adorable dress with a few red, blue, and white diapers to wear under it, and it should be a lot of fun.
My husband will be working for most of the day, but we are planning on watching some fireworks. We’re right outside the D.C. area, so I’m expecting this to be a big 4th of July!
maria.the.uncommon at gmail dot com
Our plans our all about working on the house, trying to get the basement finished before baby number 2 comes along.
Not sure if we are going to see some fireworks somewhere or not.
We will be having a cookout and watching the city’s light show. No fireworks here this year because of no rainfall. 🙁
loriannapage at gmail dot com
My 3 year old twins will be seeing fireworks for the first time and it will be my 6 week olds first 4th of July!
we’ll enjoy a cook and spend the day relaxing 🙂
We are hoping that our almost 2 year old will experience some fireworks. Aside from that, we’ll be hosting a pre-4th BBQ/pool party, spending time with cousins from DC, attending a spectacular parade on the 4th, and trying not to meltdown…It will be busy, but looking forward to it. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Our house backs up to a Minor League ballpark so we get to see fireworks twice this weekend! We are also planning on biking to our downtown farmer’s market on Saturday to hang out for a while. Our daughter loves to ride in the bike trailer!
Our plans include cleaning out our guest room for family coming in town to meet our new addition. Having said that… we probably won’t be up late enough to watch fireworks!
We are going tent camping at Moraine campground in the Rocky Mountain National Park….first time tent camping for our 2 year old and our 1 1/2 year old boys. atheda at juno dot com
we don’t have a bloomin’ thing planned as of now…but perhaps a little family cookout will be in the works soon!
For the long Indepencence Day weekend my husband and I are looking forward to painting the nursery for our baby due in October! So far the only color the room has is from clothes and the cloth diapers we’ve purchased from CottonBabies! On Sunday we’ll enjoy time with family while we bbq. Hope your weekend is fun and safe 🙂

Dropping off all 3 kids with my mom for a full week of FREEDOM!!!
We are planning a family picture…with all 7 grandkids…should be interesting.
We have 2 birthday celebrations and then a cookout out at my Dad’s with some swimming! Our annual 4th of July celebration!
Saturday we won’t do much.
Sunday is the church picnic – where she will be the oldest of 5(!) babies in our church family. We’ll be having hamburgers and apple pie and playing games.
Monday, we’ll have a neighborhood barbecue, watch the illegal firework show and play with the most legal fireworks. (Our neighbors go to Mexico frequently, and bring back bottle rockets. They’re also very careful about them and fire really isn’t a hazard here. There aren’t any legal shows planned because its usually too foggy. Our illegal show often will slide a day or two in either direction depending on the fog.)
Family cookout with swimming! Little man gets to meet his “cousins” who will be visiting from VA. Good times….and watching some fireworks if he can stay awake.
My 2 older boys are going on a trip to Colorado with Dad so I will be home with the baby. I am really looking forward to some alone time with him!
Max’s grandparents chipped in to get him a playscape for his first birthday, which was Sunday, and this weekend we are going to attempt to put it together so we can get some use out of it. Let’s hope this goes smoothly! We also are going to Grandma and Grandpa’s for a 4th of July celebration and introduce ourselves to the pool for the first time!
We are having a nesting extravaganza over the long weekend- new carpets and furniture for our first baby due in August! email@example.com
We are going to see LOTS of family and fireworks. It will be Naomi’s first time around fireworks. I hope it goes well or I will be spending a lot of time indoors!
Staying home and playing! Also taking advantage of our view, we should be able to watch several fireworks shows right from our yard!

We will begin our weekend by celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary on Friday and then celebrating the 4th by attending our towns parade, penny carnival and finishing with fireworks! We are looking forward to all of the wonderful memories we will make!

We will be heading to our cabin for 7 days! It will be our youngest daughter’s first 4th of July and both of our girls will be in the Annual Kiddie Parade! We will spend lots of time with family and just relax!!

We’re spending the holiday weekend with Grandma and Grampa and LO will be attending his first cookout. He might even put his toes in sand for the first time 🙂
spending time with my parents and my baby girl who will be celebrating her first July 4th weekend. We may end up at a few events at parks.
We just relocated and our finances prohibit us from travel, but we now live a block from the river. We are going to go crabbing and clamming and watch the fireworks show that happens to be right on the river at the end of our street. Our boy is three months old now and really into lights, so I think he’ll love it (as long as I keep his ears covered). helena at studio32 dot com
Watching fireworks at the river with LO in TRAINING PANTIES! Would love to have a new 4.0 for night time, though.
This will be my baby’s 2nd Independence Day, but as she’s only 13 months old I think this one will be more fun for both of us. We are going to celebrate with family!
We are excited to see my sister-in-law who is on “vacation” during her deployment!

This year, we are remembering my sister and spending much needed time with each other. Lots of fireworks and it will be my son’s first 4th! 🙂 I am very excited to be able to do a cookout with my inlaws and with my mom and dad. It will be a bittersweet 4th with my sister not being with us anymore, but she’s looking down on us, so it’s not as hard as it could be. 🙂 leahronnie0810 at yahoo dot com
We wil be bbqing and watching fireworks at my parents. They have amazing views from their balcony. This will be the frst yr my baby should be awake during the fireworks. Can’t wait t see his reaction
We will be going to a BBQ in the afternoon & trying to stay cool since the forecast is for high 80s.:) No plans to watch fireworks, my daughter Vivienne is 7 months old and goes to bed at 7pm. Just praying the loud noises don’t wake her up!
We will be enjoying time together as a family. Planning to cookout with good friends and enjoy great fireworks. My son didn’t get to see any fireworks last year, so we will be watching this year!
Our 4 month old will be going to the beach (Chincoteague Island) for the first time as well as getting to see fireworks at the Fireman’s Carnival on the island for the first time. We’ll be traveling with my husband’s best friend and his wife – who are 8 weeks pregnant with their first, so we all joke that ours is the “practice baby” for 4th of July weekend. — Tracy
kesrya at gmail dot com
My LO is 7 months old, so this will be his first 4th of July.. we are having friends over for a BBQ- it’s my best frined who is due to have her first in December, and i converted her to cloth already- yay me! Then we are planning to watch the firecorks, we have a primo viewing spot on my front lawn. My son is usually fast asleep by then, so unless they wake him up, he may not be seeing them until next year. We are on vacation the week of the 4th, so hoping to get in some swimming and day trips! Happy summer everyone
We are spending time with family! Saturday will probably include a marshmallow roast, but Sunday is our big day!!! Church in the morning, then a cookout, then fireworks!!! After fireworks we’ll all head back to our house for a marshmallow roast, songs by the campfire, and maybe an adult beverage or two!!!
We’ll be hanging out at home staying cool! Possibly attending a family cookout. 🙂

I’m really not sure what we are doing this weekend. My husband does have a 4 day weekend so I know mowing lawn will be done and hopefully we will cook out too. It will be our youngest’s first 4th but our 3 yr olds 3rd 4th. I’m sure we will have fireworks too as my husband loves them 🙂
Going to my in-laws most likely. Swimming, barbeque and going to see fireworks. Oh, can’t forget about her wearing her American flag dress! Too cute!
We will be spending our little ones first 4th of July celebrating with friends and family with a BBQ & fireworks on the waterfront in Charleston, to include Daddy who is currently serving in the Air Force! This time last year I was pregnant so I will enjoying my time with my two boys and possibly a trip to one of our local waterparks with our BG’s!
We might take her on her first flight…to Orange County! If airfare is reasonable, that is.
There are some wonderful fireworks displays in the area and we will be taking our three wee ones! The only one in diapers will be enjoying this for the first time. I love July 4th. Found out I was pregnant with my son on July 4th eight years ago.
We will hopefully be headed to the pool. We were out yesterday and I got a bad sunburn, so hopefully it clears up quickly. Our 2yr old and 10 mo old love water! I believe we also may get a ‘surprise’ visit from family coming down from nyc
We will be taking our daughter on her first backpacking trip. But we will also make it home in time to see the fireworks over the bay in Newport, Oregon. Hopefully it won’t be fogged in again this year!
well………… on thurs we plan on going to a theme park near here called Holiday world. kinda a big thing for both “big” kid’s bdays. DS just turned 2 and DD1 will be 4 at the end of july. this weekend we will likely hang with my mom and poppy, then on monday i will take the kids to the Pekin, IN parade so they can do the whole parade thing. Hubby has to work the 4th (how friggin crappy is that!) ten we have a party w friends that night and he’ll play with fireworks. this will be DD2’s first 4th and i’m excited to get to spend it with my best friend and her hubby that’s my hubby’s best friend as well! i will dress DD2 in red and white outfits and show off her white dipes underneath. and the moonbeam ones if the ourfit has blue in it. right now i’m planning on the ladybug outfits she has. DD1 will wear an outfit from Family Dollar that is red and white on the top with an appliqued flower and dark blue denim shorts. DS will wear a red shirt and blue shorts, probably his new “keen” aka McQueen shirt he got for his b-day. if i get lazy he’ll just wear a red diaper cover on the bottom over his flat. the kiddos will play in the water and make a huge mess and we have simple squirt guns to have a water fight with! it’s gonna be a blast!
Will be training to become a Crossfit Trainer then we go to Signing Time Conference the following week in Las Vegas
Our weekend will be pretty low-key. (Even tho it is my little guys 1st holiday w/ fireworks) His daddy has been out of town for work and will just be getting back so we’ll probably have family time and relax at home. =)
We plan on having some family time. Thinking of taking the kids fishing. They got their first taste last week at a friends lake house, and love it. Hoping to make some crafts for decorations for the 4th and possibly have some friends over.

It will be our daughters first 4th of July and just two days shy of her 1st birthday!! So we have a lot to celebrate this year 🙂 We plan to spend the weekend at Kentucky Lake with the family. Looking for forward to relaxing, playing, and trying out our 4.0s in the water!
We’re going to stay home, relax, cookout, and play play play!!
we can see our local fireworks from our house, so we can hang out at home, watch the show, and do some sparklers. Our younger son was only 9 months last july, he wasnt able to stay awake and missed out, so he will be enjoying the fireworks for the first time this year =)

Well, because of my work schedule, I don’t actually have a long weekend! If it works out though, we may head down to my mom’s Sunday for pool and fun times and so our 3 month old can meet his grand Aunts for the first time! And see his one Aunt for the first time since his first week 🙂 good food, family, and a pool! I can’t wait 🙂
We’re going to my parents’ house with the two older ones while I hope not to go into labor just yet with number three! Would love to win him a brand new 4.0, since he’s getting a twice-used hand-me-down collection of 3.0s from his two big sisters (including plenty of pink diapers — oh well!)
Hubby was going to try to fly to SC with DD to visit his parents, but he couldn’t find any great deals this weekend on flights! We will probably cook out and play outside!

Happy Independence day! Kayla sanders
Pretty low-key, going to a friends house that we haven’t seen in over a year on Saturday. Sunday is church, nothing out of the blue. Monday we will be visiting with some extended family that came home for leave from Germany! Grateful for the friends and family we have been blessed with!
Our plans will include fireworks, hotdogs and a bucket of KFC. This will be the twins first 4th of July… and probably my husband’s last (he has stage 4 small cell cancer). We’re going to take it easy… and make it special.
We’ll be spending my daughter’s first holiday with family. Always have a cookout but this year will be extra special with our new edition!
We plan to board the uss Carl Vinson for a 4th of July party! We will be able to watch the fireworks that San Diego puts on from the carrier! This will be the first time for both of my kiddos to board a aircraft carrier. My oldest is 3 and is so excited for the party and firework show! My youngest who is 13 months and slept through last years fireworks will I’m sure enjoy the show and party! Thank you to all of our servicemen and women! Happy independence day everyone!!!
This year we will be attending the Sound of Independence, which is a 4th of July celebration located on Hurlburt Field AFB. There will be food, fireworks, and games for the kiddos. We are very excited and I hope my daughter is going to enjoy her first fireworks display.
We plan to stick around but will will be attending a fireworks display. My 3 yr old is already excited about seeing fireworks and my 9 month old will be experiencing his first ever 4th of July fireworks. We will pack a picnic dinner and go early to lisen to live music! It should be lots of fun and we love it every year!
Hanging out with our 4 kids at my grandparent’s house for a bbq and fireworks. Our youngest is 21 months old, and we think he’ll love the fireworks this year!!

We’ll be gathering with family, where there will be lots of food and fireworks! It’ll be the baby’s first 4th. 🙂
We’ll probably just relax at home. Our little one will be 1 day shy of 2 months old, so I’m not sure if we’ll take her out for the fireworks (and crowds!) this year or not.
this 4th of July we’re heading back to Michigan to stay with family and we’re taking the kids to the fair and air show, fireworks and possibly a trip to the zoo! It’s going to be lots of fun!
A quiet weekend of cleaning and gardening. I’m looking forward to it!
For the 4th we will be spending the day with family.

First bbq and meeting extended family this year. We are so excited.
My little guy just got out of the hospital after 2 weeks of being sick so we will be relaxing this weekend and celebrating being home!
sradle1024 at gmail dot com
This is our daughter’s first 4th of July celebration (she’s 8 mo. old)! She’ll be participating in the local parade, camping out at the lake with Grandma & Grandpa, attending a big block party, and watching the fireworks for the very first time, all while wearing her cute BG AIO One Size Diapers!!! We are so excited to celebrate with her, and to see the joy on her little face when she experiences all these firsts!
We’re headed to the mountains for a few days with both sets of grandparents and some good friends.
I still have two months to go before our first little one will be here! We plan to probably grill out on our back porch with some of the Omaha Steaks we just bought. 🙂 We’re looking forward to next year when our daughter will be here to see the town’s fireworks display.
We will probably cook out, swim, and either find a firework show or do some ourselves. My youngest is 17 months so it’ll be her first time really seeing them. I think she’ll like them 🙂
4th of July carnival with our 3 month old! Hmidoux at aol dot com
We’re celebrating the holiday with extended family, and bringing our BGs with us!

It will be my baby girl’s first 4th of July, but we have a drought here so there are no fireworks displays planned due to increased fire risk. We are going to see a movie on Friday, going to a kids birthday party on Saturday, and having a barbeque with family on Sunday. We’ll relax on Monday!
My mom, brother, and his girlfriend MAY be coming for a visit. Not sure yet. But either way it will just be a three day weekend of RELAXING, and going to the pool!
We are going away by ourselves to the beach. We are going to relax and do NOTHING!!!! Unless it rains. haha And then i’m sure my parents will probably have some sort of cookout. My lo is 2 so it’s not her first and i’m expecting my third in August so she won’t be there. 😉
We’ll be taking DD (17 months tomorrow!) out on the lake for the first time and we’ll do a picnic while we’re there. Hopefully someone will have fireworks so she can see those for the 1st time too 🙂 We don’t have a grill so no cooking out but we’ll make the food indoors and eat outside and just pretend they were grilled 🙂
We are bbq’ing with friends and family and watching fireworks. (angiew901 @ msn dot com)
Keegan will be seeing the fireworks for the first time! He was inpatient last year receiving chemo and they wouldnt take him on the roof of the hospital to view them so this year it is!
We will be just hanging out at home! 🙂 This will be our 10 month old daughter’s first 4th of July 🙂
For the weekend we have big plans. First, Friday night we will all be going to a Rodney Atkins concert at the water park. My 2.5 year old and 17 month old just love going to concerts there because it is an open field and they can dance and sing and then go cool down in the water afterwards. For the weekend we will be cooking out with family and watching a fireworks show on the lake.
Not sure what we’ll be doing as yet. Right now, the littlest one is getting over a bad bug from this past weekend. Until I’m sure he’s better, I’m not really making plans. It may just be his first cookout, while his big sister gets her first time in the inflatable pool.
Our son had his first 4th last year when he was 3 weeks old. This year he will get to experience it more. We go visit my husbands family and are invited out to LIberty Lake with them. The whole community around the like chips in to put on a stage firework show, they also have a children’s parade with decorated radio flyer wagons and the entire Lake becomes one large block party. It’s always a lot of fun.
We’re doing a cookout, celebrating the last weekend before I go back to work. If the weather cooperates, we are going to take our little guy to the pool for a swim.
My husband’s office does their annual picnic on July 4th, so we’ll be there and then they’ve bought a press box for our regional baseball team, we’ll how the boys do with that before we head to my parents for a few fireworks!

Probably going to a pool party/cookout and then watching some fireworks! DD is not quite 3 months old so it will be her first 4th, not that she’ll remember it! lol
We will go to hubby’s mom and dad’s and grill and watch fireworks on Saturday, come back home Sunday and then drive to Tampa on Monday for fireworks over the city. It will be my 8 month olds first time seeing them. 🙂
Headed up to a cabin on the lake.
No big plans…but I do want the DD to see fireworks for the first time!
We’re finishing prepping the house for the arrival of our little one next week!
Rose will be swimming in grandma and grandpa’s pool for the first time! Okay, maybe not swimming. Splashing around is more like it.
We always watch our town’s parade, then get together with friends for a cookout. My babies will be sporting their patriotic tees with pride!
We are probably going to be sticking close to home and working on some house projects. Our first little one is due in about 3.5 weeks so we are preparing for his arrival!

At this point I don’t know that it will be a long weekend! I may have to work on the 4th if my request for the day off is turned down! But regardless, we will be watching the fireworks (I work graveyards so at least we will get to do that!). If I don’t have to work, then we will more than likely go to my in laws and pop some fireworks there and BBQ. DD loves fireworks! Hopefully now that she’s older the popping sound won’t all of a sudden scare her because lately she’s been ‘scared’ of loud noises!

Going to a tiny cabin w/o plumbing with our 3 1/2 yr old and 6 wk old – should be an adventure!
lisa dot ann dot q at gmail dot com
We are going to a bonfire/cookout at a friend’s house. They live on like 6 acres and there will likely be fireworks. Oliver has been to several fires and cookouts before, but these will be his very first fireworks. I’m guessing the sound will be scary, but the lights will make it worth it. 🙂

Our neighborhood is having a 4th of July bike parade. Our 4 -year-old just received a bike for her birthday and is excited to deck it out in red, white and blue. We’ll definitely have to deck out our little one’s stroller to coordinate. Then the plan is a late nap so we can stay up for fireworks and catching fireflies. Ahhh summer!
It will be a quiet weekend for us – hopefully! We’ve been out of town so much lately showing off the baby, that we’re looking forward to time at home. Maybe we’ll check out one of the community parties or just spend time exploring our own town…first trip to the splash park??

This 4th of July we’ll visit my husband’s family 2.5 hours away whom we haven’t seen since March due to gas prices and everyone being strapped for cash. Silas (14 m) will see his first set of fireworks and we’ll see if they agree with him or not. He’ll also get to play with his cousins who are a year older than him while I get to love on my sister’s littlest (4m). We’ll BBQ at DH’s Mom’s house, then the family will go to the fireworks stand and buy fireworks (still legal in Texas!) and DH’s step-dad will light them off so the kids can watch.
On Friday, baby girl will dress up in red, white, and blue for daycare, then we have a Navy retirement party on Saturday, followed by a wedding…busy, busy weekend!! Plus we will definitely get in some pool time.

We are traveling to our home town where my husband and I both grew up. This will be our first family vacation in a long time! I am so excited to show my kids some of the places and things that I loved growing up! While we are there my husband and I will be celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary! We are also traveling with cloth diapers for the first time. I recently asked my husband if we should travel with cloth diapers and his response was “Well what else would we do?” I loved that response!
Happy Independence Day everyone!!
Our first ‘vacation’ in a couple years – going to spend the weekend with one of my sisters at my ‘sister-sister’ (my sister’s sister-in -law) in southeast TN. Lots of family under one roof but it will be happy chaos. And hopefully we won’t perish from heat stroke/humidity!
We will be having a quite 4th this year most our family is visiting DC, but we are steering clear of the giant crowd with the wee ones. We’ll hike a local mountain and watch the fireworks from the top, and carry the sleepy kids (ages: 1 & 3) back down the mountain in our baby/toddler carriers. Looking forward to it! Hope for good weather!
We’ll be celebrating with my aunt and uncle, grilling, and viewing fireworks with my two little ones. It’ll be a late night, but hopefully well worth it!
We’ll be hanging out at home, most likely with a newborn. (I’m 37 weeks, but feeling fairly certain this little one may make its arrival today!!!)
This Fourth of July weekend will be a mixed bag. My mother just had a hip replacement and will be released from rehab, so part of that weekend will be spent making sure she gets along okay at home. I also turn 40 tomorrow, but have to put the celebration on hold until the weekend when Mom is home. Thankfully she lives right on the water, at the mouth of the Chesapeake, so we will have a fantastic view of our city’s fireworks.
We’d love to win the t-shirt and diaper contest. I am constantly getting comments and questions about Cam’s diapers, and I love spreading the word…the t-shirt would help! We are also getting licensed to do foster care of babies 0-2, so I need to start plumping up my stash!
We will be visiting grandparents and cousins out of town. We will watch fireworks from afar in my brother’s backyard while the kids play on the slip and slide!
We took our July 4th holiday early as I will be starting some long hours as a medical resident on July 1st and working straight through the holiday weekend…. but this last weekend we went out to Ian’s first bed and breakfast in the countryside where he got to see horses, goats, cows and a giant brilliant full rainbow 🙂 Also, to make up for me being away this weekend, we have both of Ian’s grandmothers in town! One of his grandmothers loves dragonflies AND bumgenius diapers, so she would really love for him to win this week’s giveaway! We constantly hear about how “if only we’d had diapers like these when you were a baby!” 🙂
I’m hoping to relax a little, maybe sit out by the kiddie pool and cool my feet while my husband cooks out and the kids play. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and am expecting baby #3 (our first girl!) any day now!
We are going to have a nice low-key holiday at home! (We were gone last weekend and daddy’s on a trip this week so we’re laying low.) We hopefully will find some kind of picnic on Independence Day and Lauren will be showing off her cloth diapers in a sweet little smocked red white and blue dress!
we are going downtown STL on Sunday with all 4 kids ages 4 and under for the first time! we are so excited that on Monday we will just get to watch fireworks from our frontyard since we live on a hill in Eureka. It seems like for all of them this is really a first since the baby is 1 and he is in on the action now too. Our stash of diapers is getting old, so it would be a big blessing to get even one brand new one! thanks!
we’re going to hopefully go to the riverfront (Mississippi River at Alton) to watch fireworks and listen to live music on Sat. Our girls’ first fireworks were too loud for her, and last year we didnt make it in time to see them, so we stopped on the road and watched from the truck. hopefully this year she will really appreciate them, plus, she’s moving into her BIG room this weekend to clear out the nursery for baby #2! Lots of plans for this weekend–but they’re all close to home!
Our plans for this holiday weekend? Well my sister-in-law is getting married on Sunday, and my 13-month-old daughter is the flower girl. 🙂 And my father-in-law’s birthday is the 4th! It’ll be a busy, fun weekend for us!
