Eric Carle and Reversible Style Robeez
January 7, 2011 6:02 am | by

Looking for a beautiful, yet practical, baby gift? This week at Cotton Babies, some exciting new styles of our popular Robeez soft-soled baby shoes. Cotton Babies staff love the way Robeez cling to feet with the elasticized ankle band and are easy to wash by hand or in a machine.   Connie, grandmother and a Cotton Babies customer, said:   I have used Robeez shoes on both my grandsons and they are the best. They are easy to put on and always stay on. They are soft and comfy… The flexible sole is nice for prewalkers. Keep little feet warm

We’re really excited this week about the return of the “brights” to the bumGenius product line. The colors you know and love are back! Clementine, Moonbeam, Ribbit and Zinnia have arrived in bumGenius 4.0 cloth diapers. Flip covers, including never before offered Clementine, will be arriving and available for purchase soon.   It’s a bit chilly for your wee one to run around only wearing a diaper this time of year, so how about some equally bright and coordinating clothes from Zutano?   We love how the Tweet print coordinates with the Clementine and Zinnia cloth diapers. Tweet is available

Some of my favorite baby shower gifts…
October 14, 2009 2:53 pm | by

I am not a mom, but I am a very proud “aunt” many, many times over. As such, I find myself constantly going to baby showers – all the time lately. I love going and celebrating the life that is coming into the world. It is so important and significant to me to honor the women in my life and watch, love and support them as they have cared for the life growing inside them before they even met them…face to face that is. Now, every time I am invited to a shower, I want to take something really great,

Cloth Diapers and International Travel
October 13, 2008 1:08 pm | by

Last month my 8 month old daughter, Marguerite and I traveled to Europe and Africa together. Ordinarily we use cloth diapers for financial and environmental reasons and I had a hard time deciding whether to use cloth diapers or disposable during our travels. I went back and forth for weeks before our trip. There were so many things to consider…it just wasn’t and easy decision for me. I wanted to use cloth because my daughter was exclusively breastfed at the time, which meant that her stools were watery and she was almost guaranteed to have a “blow out” if she

Diaper Houdini

There comes a moment in most babies’ lives when they realize they have a special power: the power to remove their own diapers. Fear shoots up and down a parent’s spine to consider the possibilities that exist now. The look of realization on a child’s face when they realize they can strip down on their own is priceless. This is suddenly a huge step towards their independence. They get to decide if their clothes stay on or not. Lily will brush up against the velcro of her diaper and realize that it has been left uncovered and suddenly her face

The Laundry Dance
February 20, 2008 3:09 pm | by

Several years ago, a friend showed me an article in Welcome Home magazine about laundry. The article was entitled, “The Laundry Dance” by Barb Warner and talked about how she worked so hard to get her laundry done. She would pile it up on the couch to fold it but would get pulled to do some other thing and the pile would sit unfolded. After a day or two she would fold the clothes and move them to the bed so she would HAVE to put them away before she could get in bed at night. But, inevitably, the kids

White Onesie
February 13, 2008 9:43 pm | by

A good friend of mine once pointed out to me that there is just something about a baby in a white onesie. It took me a while to really understand what she meant, but it is true. There is something so pure and perfectly simple about a baby, especially a freshly bathed one, in a white onesie. There are millions of beautiful baby clothes out there, why something so boring as a white onesie? I think that it is because when your baby is in a white onesie, what you look at is just the baby. There is nothing to
