Flip & Econobum Fit My Newborn!

Axel was born 5 weeks early and weighed 6.5 lbs. He weighs 8 lbs now and I am feeling nearly normal. So I have been trying lots of cloth diapers on him. Flip and Econobum were at the top of my list to try on an itty bitty. I have to be honest, though, I had my doubts about how they would fit my long, skinny boy. I thought there might be gaps around the legs, but here I sit… thrilled again, with the fit of diapers made by the bumGenius people! I took several photos to show you why

A Post-partum Review – Nursing A Newborn

Elsie is now almost three months old. We’re finally settling into a routine. She is adjusting well to life outside of my uterus. As we suspected, our first weeks with her home were wonderful but rough as my body went through the initial postpartum period. I’m back to work now and learning how to to do life as a company owner with a nursling. When I posted about her birth, I promised a review of some of my favorite products for the postpartum time period. I’m finally getting a moment this afternoon to write a review of the nursing products

While I was in the throes of cloth diapering my newborn this time around, I realized I had forgotten how much babies pee. I think I must have blocked it out from the last few times, or maybe it is because I didn’t have it written in a blog somewhere. But now it will be saved forever for posterity. Babies pee a lot. And they pee often. Newborns pee almost continually, I think, at least it seems that way sometimes! But then with Lily there came a day, at around 3 months, when I realized that cloth diapering had just
