Just for Fun: April Fools’ Day
March 31, 2012 9:55 am | by

One of the things I love about having children is experiencing their sense of humor at different ages and stages. My sons have an amazing sense of humor. I frequently explain to people that my twin sons are much like the Two-Headed Monster on Sesame Street. They share a lot of inside jokes and once one gets a case of the giggles, the other joins in and they are nearly unstoppable. A couple of years ago, I took a risk and introduced my children to April Fools’ day. It was a big hit and has quickly become a beloved day

Traveling Mishaps
March 28, 2012 2:11 pm | by

We’ve been fortunate enough to take Vicki with us whenever we have traveled. While that provided many opportunities for fun and adventure, it’s also risky to be that far away from home, away from our routine, and experiencing a ton of new things all at once. No matter how much we plan in advance, something always goes awry. We’ve been through plenty of sleepless nights as she adjusted to a hotel room and different time zones, and had a few plane trips where the screaming just wouldn’t stop. But nothing compares to these two unforgettable memories. The very first time

Recovering from the Holidays
January 5, 2012 2:09 am | by

I’m feeling a bit of post-holiday hangover. Not the type of hangover you may have experienced in college, but rather the kind of hangover that happens when you look around and find yourself asking “Now what?” The holidays can be filled with parties, gatherings, travel, fun, gifts and indulgent foods. But in the days that follow, families often begin to feel the effects that all those changes from the norm bring: bedtimes and nap times get pushed around; well meaning family members feed all types of decadent, sweet treats to your little ones; excitement builds and then crashes. When all

Celebrating Fathers Cotton Babies Style
June 17, 2011 4:00 pm | by

Admitably, I’m a bit of a daddy’s girl, as my bio shares I’m the oldest of four, and no kids of my own yet. This is a fun picture of my family from years… and years… AND years ago. I’m the one in red with the slightly mischievous look on my face. By the way, I was a cloth diapered baby, when I was growing up we didn’t have much money but my parents made us feel like we had something special and rich every day. Pictures like this one are so valuable because they captured one of those moments

Celebrate Earth Day 2011
April 20, 2011 4:59 am | by

Did you know Earth Day is more than 40 years old? The first official Earth Day was celebrated in the U.S. on April 22nd, 1970 and was created by Senator Gaylord Nelson, who desired to find a way to “put the environment into the political ‘limelight’ once and for all” (his words). This day is now celebrated in most countries across the world. Earth Day is a great opportunity to reflect about what we can do to protect our planet. Check out some of these simple family oriented activitites to kick up your heels on Earth Day 2011: Make an

Jimmy Perkins (formerly handled your returns… now doing inventory) surprised us with a fun remix of Christmas music last Thursday. Cotton Babies culture at it’s finest. 🙂 Our social media coordinator, Heather Vaughn, made a video with what he did and we wanted to share it with you… Merry Christmas everyone! Lots of love, Jenn & Jimmy Labit Click here if player isn’t loading.
